Masterpiece Rodimus Confirmed for US and UK?

Omega_Prime, member of fellow fansite TFW2005, has posted what appears to be confirmation of what many collectors have been waiting to hear: Masterpiece Rodimus will be released in the US and UK. According to his post, he is an employee of Toys R' Us and while doing a search for interesting new listings, he came across the following update:

He also added in a follow-up post that the MP Rodimus listing was tagged a "global exclusive" which would indicate that it will be aToys R' Us exclusive in non-Takara markets.
Since most of the other listings have already been confirmed for release such as the Cyberverse and Mechtech figures, hopefully this information is true. However, because this news isn't coming directly from Hasbro or other sources from Toys R' Us, we're treating this as a rumor for now.

Well, that Ark set confirms it's in TF3 pretty much. Win.
But... Scanning Ironhide and Sideswipe? If it's anything like those trans scanning figures Takara released, then crap.

I hope it does! I would love a cheap plastic version to keep in vehicle mode next to the Takara Rodimus!!

I suspect you're going to find that much like Starscream and Grimlock, most if not all of the Takara Tomy version of Rodimus will be plastic. In the end, it will probably come down to some paint choices and whether you want the trailer or not.

I'm less interested in MP Rodimus and more interested in the rest of the list... in a manner of speaking. It looks as if Hasbro is heavily modifying the current size classes and adding a whole swath of new ones. I'm hoping "Mechtech" is some kind of gimmick like automorph or mech alive, not a crappy subline of figures with FAB style gimmicks. While some of them are pretty self-explanatory (like the role play stuff and activators), some of them intrigue me. The Megaverse Evolution 4 Pack sounds like a combiner pack, and I can't imagine what the GoBots line will consist of, maybe RPMs?
I don't think (or hope) the scanning figures will be like Takara's 2007 ones - the time of their release is waay apart, and these will be Hasbro produced figures (possibly hindering their quality...)

Interesting list there. The Cyberverse sub line (of Legends only?) is starting to sound pretty cool. And hopefully Rodimus will come with his Targetmaster and some other accessories, which I'm perfectly fine with instead of his trailer.

The ability to "become" Rodimus Prime is the feature that made me pre order this figure. I want one. But if a TRU exclusive version is priced right, I would have a Hot Rod car to put infront of Rodimus with his trailer behind them both. It would be SO epic!!

Plastic or not, I'm confident the paint on the Takara Tomy version will be superior. The trailer is a big deal for me. There are none listed here, but there are definitely Leader Class figures for the DotM toyline. I'm not sure if we're allowed to talk specifics at the moment, as to respect Hasbro's wishes, but there are definitely some out there.

Legends are really getting interesting lately. Last movie we got a "complete" Devastator and now we're getting playsets and the Ark!
Fingers crossed the Ark transforms.
A Leader, new Voyager, and now this "Scanning" thing? Could Ironhide be getting a larger role?

Why is everyone assuming the Hasbro MP Rodimus won't come with his trailer? Because that would make it too expensive for the U.S. market, or just because the name doesn't have Prime on the end?

What worries me about the Ark playset is the movie itself. The teaser gave us a look at what is rumored to be the Ark. Can a movieverse playset live up to our hopes?

There was an article in the TFCC magazine that confirmed Rodimus will be an exclusive store U.S. release sans trailer but with a new accessory piece.

To my knowledge someone stated that Hasbro is still deciding on which leaders to release and when. They have not decided who will be released in the first wave yet.
