Agreed on that. That's just the major turnoff for me with the Kreons. Their paint apps tampograph are just so poorly done and aligned. This here, looks like somebody designed them with a frickin Sharpie pen.
Hasbro should really QC these Kreon. The best tampo I ever had with Kreons was Jarugar from series 8 i think. That was superb. Colors are nice, well aligned and sharp. That proves they could do it.

Yeah, because all the other kreons you've photographed looked like crap. Oh wait, they looked fine, and the botcon kreons look like crap. Not even the past 2 years sets looked this bad. So this was either a QC issue which still further reinforces the rumor the club doesn't pay for it despite what they say. Or they gave up on this set. Either way, you don't have to rationalize the clubs mistakes, I know you want to be closer, but still.

I'm sure you meant well with your statement but please don't pull that card on me again. I do not deserve that.
In addition, you haven't seen enough photographs of mine of the Kre-o line to know whether or not the rest look just as flawed or not since I only photographed the first wave or two of products 3 years ago. I haven't photographed any of the Microchangers since the preview wave.

It indeed is. Not surprising since Kre-O covers not only Transformers, but Battleship, G.I. Joe and Star Trek as well

A little late to the party, but this, all the way.Seibertron wrote:With macro photography, the flaws in all Transformers toys paint jobs is brought into extreme focus.
Exhibit "The only example I'm posting right now":
Man, look at that running silver paint on his chest, the nick in the red around the Minicon port, the messy gate mark on the right arm, the small chips and inconsistently masked red on the front of the boat, and the tarnish on the metal assembly pin.
Except then get it in hand and it looks flawless. My camera isn't even nearly as nice as Ryan's (I've seen it, and mine, albeit a DSLR as well, is like a Fischer Price My First Camera next to it). I can only imagine how bad Kreons would look if I did it, whether they came from the club or from retail.

I finally got my box set yesterday and read the comic. Fun little book, and she looks very Samus-like in that panel about 2-3 pages from the end where she's holding her helmet off to the side. I dug it.Sabrblade wrote:What's more is that Burn Out is (piloted by) a female.

"Wrecker" is often associated with tow-trucks like this in Japan. In fact, the Diaclone is called "4WD Wrecker Type" and RiD 2001 Tow-Line is called "Wrecker Hook" in Car Robots. It's more in the sense carrying off wrecks rather than actually causing them.

Funnily enough, "Wrecker Hook" is also the name of one of Tow-Line's main attacks in the RiD 2001 dub.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:RhA wrote:Lift-ticket. He's a wrecker and HE'S GOT A HOOK.

And the dub kinda went a little overboard with this attack name since he called it out just about every time he used his hook in his debut episode, when he only called it out once in the Car Robots version of the episode (during the fight at the episode's end).

The two figures sport some heavy military decos, with Generations Roadbuster now in camo green and Scoop in white and grey (plus a new head too), while still keeping the two Targetmaster minicons. I really wanted to do a shot with the G1 and/or Generations versions of Old Snake with Ultra Magnus, Rodimus Prime, Springer and Arcee (Generations version would have to do double duty), but decided it would be best to save that for when we get the full set of upcoming toys from "Only Human".

Have tempted to throw a few Decepticon insignias on an old GI Joe Snowcat.
Wouldn't mind seeing a few more Joe repaints as Transformers like maybe an AWE Striker ad Sandstorm, Dune Runner or Beachcomber.
The other Seekers and Air Raid.
The Mauler could be used for Blitzwing or Quake
The Mocassin as G2 Leadfoot
Mercer could pass for Pretender Starscream out of armour.
Dye the hair blonde and you've got Landmine out of armour
Blaster could pass for Jazz in his shell

Interesting ideas! Makes me think it'd be great to do the Masterforce Pretender humans ... Diver, Phoenix, Waver and Hawk. It's too bad there isn't a kid-sized GI Joe figure because then you could do all of the kids as well like Daniel, Rad, Alexis, Carlos, Minvera, Cancer, Go Shuta, and Cab as well as any others worthy of getting a Joe sized toy made into a Transformers character.

Regarding Scoop/Hound-- That new head, is that newly sculpted for the club? or is this a case where they took an unused existing alternate head? Does anybody know for sure on that? I may have missed it, if it was said somewhere else.

Yeah it is, Scoop and Roadblock share the same head, despite what I thought.
So, Sgt. Hound is a brand new headsculpt.

I might possibly do the massive group shot I'm sure everyone would enjoy seeing with all 31 Seekers in G2 Starscream's gallery. We'll see if I can get to the 6 Asian Seekers in the next few weeks. Working on finishing up Hotlink, Bitstream, and Sunstorm's galleries tomorrow morning.
