New Official Website Launched to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Beast Wars

Hype hype hype!!! Looks like Takara is gearing up for a great celebration for us Beast Wars fans!!

That site has even bigger looks at the MP Primal wireframes than we saw before!

Wow! That's so close I can see his panel lines!

But are those really his teeth? I think it's just the wire frame for his lips, otherwise he's all mouth plate and teeth.

Speaking of which, I really wish his bot mode had a changeable full mouth plate like he had on the cartoon sometimes and on the original figure. Amazon exclusive maybe?

Those feet really do look terrible from every angle.

Considering this is BW's 20th anniversary, I'd really appreciate getting both of the faction leaders in MP form. Not sure how good those chances are, though.

Having studied 3d modelling, I can say that, if it is a wire-frame, then, yes, those are the 'faces' forming the simplified curved surface of his lips.

Well, we have all year, and at the rate TT's been pushing out MP's, and the relative ease of designing an MP BW Megs, I'd say we'll see him at least.

Besides, it's not like they have to make him during the anniversary year, I don't care if they keep cranking these out over several years. Plus the actual anniversary in Japan is technically 2017 and that's to say nothing of the Metals, II, and Neo anniversaries so celebrate away, Japan!

Yeah, I think this is them swingin' in to save us from hasbro's 'G1-itude'; at any rate, least they're doing right by us

Via Seibertron.com Twincast Podcaster xRotorstormx, we have an update from the Q-Transformers website concerning a special showing of the Beast Wars animated series in Maihama amphiteatre, Tokyo. Included in the 'Beast Wars Easter' event, tickets for which go on sale today, are Miwa Iwanami (director), Kappei Yamaguchi (rattle voice actor), and Kenshu Kato (Waspinator voice actor) from the Japanese dub of the show plus entry to a Transformers FES session later in the day. Just to head off any possible objections, Easter lasts until May 15th, so, yes, that part of the announcement is accurate.

So, Google translates "Waspeeter" as "Waspinator" but leaves "Rattle" alone.

So far, Why there is no information about TransMetals ?

Didn't transmetals debut the year after? As in 1997 which would be 20 years next year.

Transmetals came out in 1998, a whole two years after Beast Wars started.

Plus, most of the original Transmetal molds were already so good that almost none of them need updating.

The only problem with the line is the ocasional GPS but mostly, flaky chrome paints. A problem that carried on to Beast Machines.

I'm imaging next year at 'Hascon' the exclusives will be a Mindwipe and Skullcruncher painted like Bat Optimus and Gator Megatron.

I know they are convention exclusives. I wanted to know if they were available at TransFest 2016, or are they to be available at a different show later? I'm expecting the latter, as there have been now solicitations yet from the likes of TFSource or BBTS, where they definitely had some last year for LG-EX Armada Megatron and RID Scourge. I don't want to miss out on Rhinox or Waspinator at the very least.

Well, the Legend Commander Collection toys were con exclusives that eventually got rereleased on TakaraTomy Mall which led them to reaching other venues as well, so there's a chance that these three could too.

The Tokyo Toy Show is just round the corner - as it takes place this weekend, 11th June - and we're getting more information from Takara Tomy Transformers about their Beast Wars special celebrations, not only with the LGEX Rhinox, Waspinator, and Rattrap (Rattle), but also with some teasers about what's to come, and a potential new product reveal!

Is this in addition to rumoured MP Cheetor? Does Waspinator have a shot at the Masterpiece line? The fandom would flip so many times if a MP Waspinator was announced. That figure would sell out faster than the club Punch/Counterpunch did.

The mention of waspinator is reference to his voice actor (I'm assuming hsi japanese one) appearing at the con.
