The rest not so much
I'll potentially be a huge sucker for the star Seekers capsule though. I'll be extremely sad if I don't find thundertron

Oh, I see. Still that would be really cool if the Legacy line did showcase other characters that never made it beyond concept art.

That's true. I know a lot of people that weren't happy with the Animated figures represented so far. Motormaster does seem more "Animated" than prior ones. That's the problem with stylised aesthetics, I guess. The "easy" option is to base all the figures on a generic template. Motormaster did build my hopes up though. Especially as the Almanacs are So expensive now.

Could also be Crashbar due to the triple headlight chest and so they're not repainting a black bike into another black bike.Emerje wrote:Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Deluxe Roadpig

Prowl repaint?
Getting a new mold Voyager Thundertron out of nowhere was weird enough, getting that and also a Leader now is downright baffling at this point.Emerje wrote:Tra Gen Legacy Star Seekers Leader Thundertron

Isn't Thundertron reported to be a new mold? I guess he's a Leo Prime retool now, but as a Leader? Wait and see I guess. Yeah, I know, we had Cosmos and Override, but this guy isn't them. That'll be a big cat unless they decide to scrap the lion mode all together.
Isn't there only one unnamed Deluxe, and then just the general assortment number?Emerje wrote:I'm guessing the two unnamed Deluxes will be Cannonball (Crankcase repaint?) and Maybe Axer which would be kinda funny since he's shared tools with both Roadpig and Lockdown.

Incidentally, Slipstream will definitely be a repaint of the leaked Legacy Cyberverse Windblade similar to what the Takara Tomy Legends line did.
I wonder if Quake will be a heavy retool of Kingdom Warpath, they still haven't reused that mold yet.

Wouldn't it be weird to repaint a blue and white tiger into... a blue and white tiger?

They could always remove the wings and replace them with those extra bits Thundertron has along his sides. In theory it could work.

And his beast head becomes his robot torso. Tigerhawk's beast head becomes his right shoulder.

However, if they go the Takara Legends route and make her as a pretool of Windblade, she could be good.

That said, Slipstream does intrigue me just based off her deco. The only downside for me is that it will likely be an Animated Starscream repaint not a the ER figure, but only because I'm not into the animated show. I'd probably by it if it were an ER repaint just to go with my other Decepticon Seekers. However, I do see the point in it resembling the actual media it's sourced from and should represent that look.
Who knows, if/when I actually see it and like the deco maybe I will buy it just because it looks so good. And, since it is a fembot it looking slightly different than the other seekers could make sense

The last time I was at a large toy store, there were about four or five Metalhawks all together on the shelf, perhaps a solid case of them, but this was shortly after that wave came out so at the time it was too early to say whether or not it was shelf-warming. I might re-visit that store soon and I'll see how many Metalhawks there still are, but as I mentioned in an earlier post, I am surprised that it's getting a package refresh.

It's based on her Cyberverse look so it shouldn't bee that complex and fiddly.

The listing doesn't have a universe attached to it, it doesn't necessarily have to be the Cyberverse version.

Motormaster and the Stunticons did make it past concept. They were BotCon exclusives in 2011. Their only (albeit major) flaw was that they didn't combine, all having been redecos of previously released figures.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:All because he's an easy head-swap redeco option for the Animated Optimus that's coming before himAllNewSuperRobot wrote:Interesting to think that the selection for Animated was a character that didn't actually make it into the show?

So far all the Legacy attempts at Animated updates have been failures, yes even Prowl, I'm still looking forward to Motormaster. See if they added a combination function.

For a second I thought maybe they would make this a combiner…
But besides just getting Legacy Menasor completed within the last 6 months, there’s almost no way this could be a combiner torso at the voyager class.
That could’ve been really cool, but doesn’t seem realistic.

This is what bugs me about Geewunners. They are never, EVER happy. We get mini G1 "masterpieces" over and over. We have characters made that never, ever had their proper toys before like so many IDW characters and comics character like Jhiaxus.
Plus, even though the Animated, Prime, and RiD hommages are not perfect, they are still made. Finally, the upcoming bots are very exiting as always.
Seriously, those who still manage to complain are like those fat kids in front of an all-you-can-eat buffet that complain "there's nothing to eat."

AS a fan of combiners, I'm perfectly ok with Animated Motormaster not combining. Its a different idea for a team, but it still very much works. Not all teams (Dinobots originally , Insecticons etc... have to be combiners).
The deluxe Optimus Prime still baffles me a bit. It seems at this time to exist merely so Hasbro can say they've had an Optimus in the the 5 years at every Price Point (except Titan...)
As per usual with these lists, there's no mention of the CC or Titan. We can all make guesses, but have there been any legit insider rumors yet?

Although there were unrealised plans for Devastator in Animated. I did like that they subverted the combiners in that series.

Don't tempt them. There are still a couple designs that could be upscaled...
Powermaster Optimus Prime (Not the Ginrai redesign)
TFWiki wrote:The third version, would quite possibly have been the most gimmick loaded Transformer in the history of the line, simultaneously being a Powermaster, Headmaster, and Triple Changer. The Headmaster also would have been a Triple Changer, turning into a sort of armored four-wheeled rover (Roller II?) and robot as well as a rather silly looking Optimus Prime head with four vertically aligned wheels jutting off the sides. It seems that when the extra Headmaster gimmick was scrapped, the super mode head remained separate rather than being reintegrated into the trailer hitch such as on the earliest design. Notably, the body of this design is extremely close to the final design.

No surprise about the listing itself, but it's still a relief to see Swoop. Especially being leader class.
My gut tells me this leader Soundwave is not a G1 version.
I know the designs are somewhat different, but with a Steeljaw on the way, I'm assuming we'll see a Core G1 Ravage in '25.
Of the questionable listings, I'm anxious to see what the "...86 Bumblebee" is.
Not sure how the listing for Sunstreaker would be correct rather than a mislabeling for SS86; again, my gut tells me Hastak received (and/or saw) enough feedback that this character needs a post-pandemic release, and is making it happen.
I'm also interested to see what has been done with the design of "Animated" Motormaster, but with the previous Animated releases, my bar of expectations is pretty much on the floor.
Still hoping that G1 Hound happens, and surprised that none of the lesser known Insecticons are being released knowing they'll just be retools/repaints of Shrapnel and Bombshell.
At most it looks like I'd get a dozen figures from this list. More likely, around 7-8.

It's likely just a head retool of the Voyager Animated Optimus that's coming before it, since that's what Animated Motormaster looks like and is what his original toy was.Sowndwave76 wrote:I'm also interested to see what has been done with the design of "Animated" Motormaster, but with the previous Animated releases, my bar of expectations is pretty much on the floor.

Don't mince words. How do you REALLY feel? I find it ironic that you choose to complain about someone crying and whining by . . . crying and whining. Believe it or not, everyone has the right to have, and extoll the virtues of, a preferred aesthetic. Not just you. Some of us have been collecting these things since the mid 80's, when these characters were established and first entered the culture. Seeing these characters redesigned as something that doesn't match their established look and features is a bit like seeing a documentary of the American Revolution with Ru Paul cast as George Washington. "Creative" and "innovative" as it may be, it's not historically accurate and therein lies the issue. Create a new character. Stop recreating existing ones. But maybe that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their opinions.
As a devoted Geewunner, G1 toys make up less than half of my current collection. I collected Armada, Energon, Cybertron, RID, Beast Wars, Alternators, Universe, Generations, as well as a good number of other transforming lines that had no connection to the Transformers at all. I do have a few Bayverse and Animated figures, but I have to admit they were gifts by well-meaning family members. If I like it, I'll get it.
