Ah well. Only another couple months before all of our hopes and/or fears are either realized, or dispelled...

I'll certainly give it a chance and watch with an open mind, but the animation and goofy-looking Prime face made me think to myself, "Really? REALLY?! That's the best looking Prime they could come up with?" Still, I've got to give it a fair shot in hopes that it's better than the last few series, which I found absolutely unwatchable.

Theme song is awful.
The acting, the voices...top notch. Oh man, Prime sounds great as a rookie. Megatron's voice is definitely something new...I really, really, really like it.
I'll watch the show for the stories and the voices, that's about it.
...and Lake Erie watershed? That's located in and around my hometown! I wonder if one of the writers/creators hails from Northwestern PA/Southwestern NY?
Hmm...neat to see it though.

Megatron's almost materializing behind Optimus - now I want to go play Kingdom Hearts again.

Prime sounds like Bumblebee trying (and failing) to be Optimus Prime. Just plain awkward...
The theme kinda sounds like G1 Season 1 theme, just mixed w/ TF:Energon theme. And that's like oil and water... They kinda go together, but they don't mix...
WTF is with this AllSpark shit all of a sudden!? It's trying to be original while simultaneously ripping off the suddenly-more-appealing-in-lieu-of-this 2007 Transformers. You can't have it both ways, Hasbro!
The art style (with SOLE exceptions for Megatron and 'Screamer) hurts the eyes, even AFTER seeing TF:Cybertron.
The only good thing about this whole thing is the toyline, and THAT'S because of the closest thing to G1 Arcee is part of that line...
Somewhere, Primus is crying...

I am liking the theme song though. Just an upbeat version of the old G1 Transformers. More reminiscent of the first season theme too.

I really don't like Prime's design. At first I thought it was a guy wearing underwear superhero outfit. But then it was really Prime.
And I think it's funny how more than half of the people claimed to hate the new series, but now more than half likes it! : ) How fickle.
I still hate the chin-tastic designs and BB's voice. But I will watch it. It's TRANSFORMERs, how can i not? That and I never change my channel from cartoon network. :O

This is a fickle, ever-changing fandom, that are fans of a fickle, ever-changing cartoon/toy/comic/movie universe. That's why I'm going to reserve my judgement until whenever the Hell I see the first episode.

In that one shot of the autobot lineup at 00.43, Bulkhead looks morbidly obese, and Bumblebee looks like an 8 year old child.
I simultaneously like the new Megatron design, while missing the old Megatron. And I like the new Starscream.
But I really can't abide this ninja-cycle version of Prowl. That out and out sucks. The sooner he's reconfigured or killed off, the better.

I thought it was going to be terrible, the new style & all, but actually, it's not bad, just different... And depending on how well the rest of the series is played out this different could be good. However I hope it's this one series & thats it. Anymore & It would just be pushing it.
Oddly enough I like the theme song...

Anyway, I hope it's better than it looks, because right now it's hard to take this Prime seriously over this great Megatron, huge let down for me. Feels like a sell out. The whole cartoon feels awkward, but I'll watch the first show, take it from there.
(I'm just glad there's good comics out there)

I think the show looks great, the VA seems top notch and I'm glad it bugs so many people. Don't know why, just the mood I'm in I suppose.

On the flipside, I *LOVE* this Megatron. Passionately. More than I've loved some ex-girlfriends. Which might be why they're exes now, but that's not important. It seems like they went with a nicely stylized G1 Megatron body, and gave him a half G1 half 07 Megatron head. While I was not overly excited with 07 Megs' head, I have to admit that this Animated version is not so bad. It's a bit simpler, and I like it.
Starscream. Oh, come on, people, where's the love? This is SO Starscream's best form in a while. Though Starscream does have a history of awesome incarnations. He's sleek, slender, sly, and a bunch of other sl words, lol Sure, he's got that big chin thing going on, but wont that really just give him that perfect smirk. And sweet Jesus, that voice. I dont know who is voicing Animated Starscream, but I think they should take a paternity test cause I think there's some Latta in that guy's genetics. I swear, just those few lines in the Animated Preview, every time I hear it, I still get chill pumps.
Prowl. Now, before I say this, you have to promise me you won't throw rocks.
Promise?
No, really, I'm gonna make you promise.
Say it.
Fine. I like Animated Prowl. I like Prowl as a motorcycle. Why? Because Prowl has evolved. His character has grown so much over the past 20 years. Back in the 80's, Prowl was nothing but an overly logical teachers' pet. We've also seen Prowl suffering under the pressure of trying to be Prime, trying to be ready, trying to be sure he would be the next Prime, only to have command given to Grimlock instead. And you know what? I liked the latter better. Give me a moody Prowl with a dark side. But that doesnt really feel like a police car. Plus newer fans will be thinking of Barricade. Besides, Prowl has had his name slapped on many different forms including 2 Beast Warriors. And remember Action Master Prowl? He rode a police motorcycle. So I think moody ninja Prowl is gonna be a nice deep character, and he looks great on screen and in plastic.
BlitzWing, I am so glad you're back. And still a Triple Changer. The split personality thing could be fun, but it also has the potential to be overdone and become annoying and cheesy. I think BlitzWing looks absolutely awesome in this series, and he was an excellent choice for the Decepticon cast. He's not Soundwave, Shockwave, a Seeker, but still a noteworthy Decepticon. I'm glad he hasn't been lost to forgotten lore.
Forgotten lore... That just made me think. Maybe it's time we gave G1 the honorary title "The Old Testament" Heh. Some of us do treat it like a Bible sometimes, even myself. I know that 90% of the things I like about Animated are the obvious G1 references.
Anyways, I've pretty much forgotten what I set out to say in this post, and it's gotten pretty long, so I think I'm just gonna quit writing now.

People said after the movie that everybody is negative about everything new and different.
I say they are wrong. After the innitial shock of the change of style wore off, Ive been looking foward to this cartoon/toy line more and more everytime I see something new.
