Plus, Reveal The Shield was nothing more than the later part of the "movie-centric-yet-continuity-ambiguous" 2010 line.

Yeah, that and the many AOE stuff on shelves. Oh, and hero mashers too. Seriously though, when it comes to Generations, I only see Thrilling 30s Wave 8 and 9 deluxes (no wave 1 deluxes or legends wave 6-8 sadly) at Walmart and Target, and Combiner Wars Silverbolts at Meijer.

Like Optibotimus says, he loves G1, but he is not a G-whiner. I am the same way, and I think we all should be the same way. Sure it is great to get a figure that is very close to G1, (like Generations Arcee for example), it sparks our nostalgia! But if transformers keeps with the same formula, where is the creativity? Kids aren't interested in the same characters and formulas over and over, and neither am I. Hasbro, IDW, Takara, all of them want change, and so do I. We need something fresh, sure we have the classic old characters like Optimus, Bumblebee, and Megatron, but what is wrong with some new versions of characters? I don't mind a combining Ironhide, Cyclonus or Prowl, it makes it interesting!
So that's my two cents, bring it on haters!

Personally, when I get Quickslingshot, I'll stick him on Superion for symmetry and get a badass loner cape for Alpha Bravo, maybe I'll have him wield Powerglide too

Why is there so much hate towards Alpha Bravo, but people are perfectly fine with Powerglide being an Aerialbot, when he wasn't an Aerialbot back in the day?

I agree to a lot of what you said except that Optibotimus is not a g-whiner. He is a perfect example of a GEEWUN/G-whiner. He has superion mistransformed just so it looks like the cartoon model because "that looks better" he complains on a regular basis on reviews to a point where I don't watch him anymore.

Because he's a helicopter and to some crybabies that's heracy. Just like how a truck(off-road) shouldn't be with stunticons.Yet no one has a problem with a semi truck being part of a group of stunt cars or a space shuttle with military vehicles.

But do you watch his Bayverse toy reviews? The review of Superion, although I agree, he did get annoying, but it is supposed to look like an updated g1 combiner. He is perfectly fine with the other transformers shows and stuff, like transformers Prime, and the movies, but when it is supposed to be a G1 combiner in the cartoon, then he wants to make it look as close to the g1 toy as possible that he had as a kid. The think I am worried about though, is whether or not he'll complain about a combining Ironhide and Cyclonus or not.

He's too critical of toys and he will complain about the whole 84 guys(ironhide prowl sunstreaker mirage) combining, I guarantee it. But I don't watch them anymore because he's too critical...and because his lighting set up is atrocious. So many people have said his reviews would be better if he tones down the lighting and he responds with "I don't care what you think" I personally have gotten that response. Even when he was asking for opinions when he changed the lighting! I tried watching the Quickslinger review and you couldn't see the damn toy!
And if you don't wanna read the comics fine but go to tfwiki and look up the summary at least. Sounds like an idiot when he says "I don't read the comic so I don't know anything about this and don't tell me in the comments about it because I don't care"
I apologize, it's just annoying and I've just decided I'm not giving him my views because it's kind of unprofessional on how he views some stuff.

I know Optibotimus gets irritating sometimes, but I'm perfectly fine with watching a new review from him for help with the transformation. Hey! Why don't we complain about Baltmatrix complaining about lack of paint in EVERY SINGLE REVIEW! -_-
Back to combiner wars, please.
Edit: I agree Optibotimus needs to tone down with the lighting, if I watch him for too long, my eyes start to hurt!

I don't like to watch reviews too many times, because of that very reason. But sometimes, the instructions don't explain something properly, so watching a review is very helpful.

Yup. I currently have Superion assembled in his standard formation with Firefly (I used to call him that as a kid anyway so I'm sticking with it) and Slingshot (Quickslinger just doesn't sound right to me, but I'm cool with anyone who likes the update) as the right and left arms respectively holding their pistols in a gunslinger pose. I call it Gunslinger Mode (but maybe I should call it Quickslinger Mode). And Alpha Bravo is standing in front of Superion holding his weapons and looking all "We're totally gonna kick some a--!"
Burn wrote:And that's the one thing I don't get.

I wanted Powerglide to be a deluxe limb option instead of a minibot targetmaster. Then I'd have two alternate limbs. And I'd be perfectly happy if Powerglide came with the same rifle and hand/foot/gun as AB.

I don't consider Powerglide an Aerialbot, though. It's much easier to ignore Powerglide as a gun and supposed Aerialbot since he's not making a limb or anything else integral to Superion. He's an extra, not taking anyone's place, and a fairly popular existing G1 character in his own right.
But with Alpha Bravo, unless you got in on the non mass retail Quickslinger, you're stuck with AB sitting there taunting you with his presence as not Slingshot, if you're a Slingshot/proper G1 Superion fan.
Some people don't care. Good for them. Others of us do. We have as much right to our opinion of AB as anyone else. For me, he's just part of Ultra Prime's motley crew of random misfits that don't fit else where (for now mainly that means he serves as stilts along with Off Road for Optimus while Huffer shields his chest and Bombshell attaches to his gun, meanwhile, he's just got stubby little OP arms... LOL)

Aren't astronauts part of the military somehow? Major Nelson and Major Healy were astronauts and in the military anyway, good enough for me.

The way I see it though, Alpha Bravo has been shoe-horned in as an Aerialbot, just as Powerglide has.
So I don't get why some people have so much hate towards Alpha Bravo for being introduced as an Aerialbot, when the exact same thing has been done to Powerglide but those same people don't seem to mention him. If people are going to hate on Alpha Bravo, then hate on Powerglide as well, he was NEVER an Aerialbot.
