Given the wider resolution of the still featuring Shockwave, we may be looking at IMAX extended footage.

Bay, via Twitter, and Nelson, via phone call to Bay and SFTE forums have both confirmed the total running time to be 153 minutes, making it the longest of the three films, and that there is NO, I repeat, NO IMAX special footage or extended editions. Every theater, minus the 3D effects, will be receiving the exact same film.

If I facepalmed at this any harder I'd break my nose.

Eh, make that a partial facepalm. He's clearly wrong on most of them, but even I have to admit that the Sentinel/Optimus one isn't as polished, pretty and realistic as it could be. Or scenes of the past films, for that matter. It had an unfinished feel to it.
I'm sure they're still fine tuning the whole kit n' kaboodle, so I wouldn't expect this to be the final look for the scene, but it does look a little underwhelming, quality wise.

Yeah, but everything we've seen in the trailers have looked good. I doubt they're finished rendering everything.

Wouldn't surprise me. After all rendering Devestator in RotF caused computers to explode like in...well, a Michael Bay film.

Well, there won't be missing scenes or effects due to seeing the 2D version, just no 3D. However I detect you making this statement as if it's a bad thing (mind you I could be wrong). Considering all that needs to happen to close the story of this trilogy, a long running time is a good thing.

The only thing this proves is that both of them actually agreed upon the same line of b.s. We already know that Nelson is full of it. He's still trying to yank everyone's chain at what is coming up on the 11th hour and Bay...well, I'm don'tr think he really gives a rip what info gets thrown out there since DotM is already "in the can" as they say and he's already on to the next project in between premier showings of TF3. I trust absolutely nothing on SFTE. I'd sooner believe Bay's secretary before I'd trust Bay and Nelson.

its a holographic matrix. Maybe Sentinel wants to know what happened?
"Now, son, where is my beloved Matrix of Leadership, handed down through generations by our ancestors, a priceless valuble artifact which cannot be replaced?"
"Umm..."

It's not a hologram, it is the Matrix. I can't say anymore without spoiling it.
Just believe me when I say, it's not a hologram.
