Perceptor is one of the most brilliant scientific minds of Cybertron. Despite his dislike of combat situations, Perceptor is an excellent sharpshooter.
Vortex is the interrogator of the Combaticons. Even his fellow Decepticons are disgusted by his advanced techniques for extracting information from prisoners. Vortex takes advantage of his flight mode by surveying the battlefield and blasting any Autobots who find their way into his weapon's scope.
Grimlock is known for not following orders or trusting in Optimus Prime's ability to be an effective leader. As leader of the Lightning Strike Coalition Force, Grimlock enjoys smashing things first and asking questions later. Due to Shockwave's experiments, Grimlock has been left with a malfunctioning voice processor and an alt-mode inspired by...?
Swindle is always looking for a way to profit from the misfortune of others. Being part of the Combaticons allows Swindle the opportunity to scavenge or steal whatever he thinks he can profit from.

Still dunno if Perceptor's playable or not.
There's also profiles for Grimlock and Swindle, who haven't been posted yet.

It's looking unlikely in story mode, but let's hope that Perceptor, as well as every Combaticon and Dinobot are playable in Escalation.Sabrblade wrote:Sa-weet!

I kinda made one, with that altmode anyway. Back in 2007!
It's an old pic because it's in a box somewhere or something. It hasn't been on display for years at this point! Still, the similarities are unmistakable!

-Well I must say I LOVE Perceptor alot more now. I love how he's a tank AND a good sniper for someone who like to not engage in combat. The one thing I don't like about this Perceptor is his headscuplt or more in particular his face...it's Frightening...
-Vortex Looks awesome. Nuff said. His Bio also sounds very cool and I cant wait to play the Vortex level.
-Finally Grimlock made it to the Characters page!!! Holy Primus he is just so awesome to see. Can't wait for his Campaign mission as well. Crossing fingers for Dinobots being playable in Escalation.
-Swindle's cool I guess...I was hoping for Bruticus on the characters page, but hey I guess we can dream.
Oh hey just noticed there is TWO more character slots for both Bots and Cons. More to come in the future!!!

Agreed. He looks like he's possessed by Azazel from Supernatural. Have to admit I'm not sure how I feel about him transforming into a tank. It strikes me as far too out of character.
I looked at the images of Swindle and Vortex here, then went and looked at the images of their figures. That's when a tear rolled down my face.

But it's a shooter game, there isn't a single character in WFC that does "nice" stuff.
They could've given Ratchet/Soundwave Healing Turrets instead of Bullet Turrets (there are healing turrets in the game)
I think they can define the character more with the two skills he has. But I think in FOC you can switch skills during missions/Escalation. Since I saw Starscream Dashing and Cloaking, those are two time-based skills. Anyway, they probably changed it all

They also got his sniping ability down too from his description. These guys are doing a great job with the characters in this game.gothsaurus wrote:Ha! Love that Perceptor. He's a great nod to the original toy's third mode. And the game model has his elbow dials, chest, and cannon all nailed. Great job.

Didn't HMS incorperate Dash in all the characters? Hence replacing the 2nd ability?

I've only just realised what you said. I'm not happy they've increased it to 8-on-8. It's such a childish mentality: more = better!
I like the strategic gameplay that comes with having fewer players. The more players there are then chances are increased that everytime you turn a corner you're going to bump into someone. I find that boring. Why is it games from two, three or four years ago allowed you to set the number of players in a game, but now we have no choice?

Hidden beneath the streets and amongst the buildings of Lacon lies Metroplex. One of the ancient titans of Cybertron. Metroplex is awakened by Optimus Prime to defend Cybertron as an Autobot. His size requires a vast amount of Energon, which limits the amount of time Metroplex can stay in robot mode.
Once a Seeker who served alongside Starscream, Jetfire broke rank during the early days of the war to join Optimus Prime and the Autobots. Jetfire is one of the few Autobots with flight capabilities, which makes him an important resource in the war for Cybertron.
Bruticus is the combined form of all five Combaticons. The combining technique limits Bruticus' processing power, making him a weapon Megatron just needs to point in the right direction.
As a member of the Combaticons, Brawl enjoys the destruction he causes on his own, but always looks forward to the devastation caused by uniting into Bruticus. Brawl has the shortest temper of all the Combaticons.
