I originally doubted all the listings when i first saw that thread... But damn, it has been spot on. Would really love to go see what figures the poster listed that we have yet to hear off...

There was another one last year i believe. someone did a name dump of every figure, no indication of size.
Probably was using a throwaway account as an anonymous tip off

I think that was actually four commercials compiled into one video.STngAR wrote:jON3.0 wrote:

But why no Deluxe Ratchet in his first-two-movies deco? Would've thought that'd be obvious! XD Along with Soundwave in a better, more accurate metallic grey...!
Oh well, they appear to have just started, so hopeful for any future waves! ^^

I think that's all we'll be getting with Legacy Figures (4 for each movie). After AD18 and AD19, we're getting AoE figures again, including Leader Grimlock, Lockdown, Galvatron and Hound.

What is it the fact that it is Mood Whiplash, which is cool from the comics, or is it the fact that the vending machine robot appeared in the first movie for all of 5 seconds, which was kinda funny and cool. But is that it? The truck mode is a bore and the robot mode is far from anything special, altho the head sculpt is cool. The rest of the bot mode is quite ugly and generic movieverse styled. I rather spend my money on a transformers liquor cabinet bar fridge that can fit the assorted cybertronian drinks and opens to allow them to be taken out and placed in 5 mm hands ala cogwheels drink tray. it doesn't need to transform and it sure doesn't need a vehicle mode.
Well, at least for me, he's a character I've wanted in a transformable toy mode since he appeared in 2007. Part of that want is because of how funny his brief appearance was. Yes he now sports Mood Whiplash which is cool. But we all know what it should have said. And with that, I must say, MOUNTAIN DEW IS THE BEST SODA EVER MADE.

Yeah, that about sums it up for me too. Well, that and the fact that it so closely relates to one of the many hilarious moments in Maximum Overdrive. The scene where the soda machine takes out the little league coach with first a groin shot and then a fatal shot to the forehead with high powered soda can launches (Priceless moment! If you haven't seen the movie...WATCH IT!)
This is also one of the very few times that you will not hear me complain about a re-paint. I approve of this one whole heartedly.

Hah, I saw that movie, it was so bad but in the best way, especially if you enjoy watching humans being terrorized by machines. Definitely watch it. Damnit... that reference actually made me appreciate this figure more, haha! The first one this figure would kill is that whiney voiced wife chick. Urgh her voice was nails on a chalkboard.

I'll say, the reason I like the figure, is it's kitschy in that B-movie sorta way, because not only does the figure reminds me of that, it also remind me of the time where the Coke machine quite literally exploded on someone in Steven King's Tommyknockers, both in the TV miniseries and in the novel.

As to why, well,i like obscure and different characters, and i actually like this mold. The fact that the vending machine is part of his deco is a nice gimmick.

Yeah, there was. Though, not a transforming one, but a toy is still a toy. And not in 2007, but 2008. It was a Robot Heroes figure:Bluespindash97 wrote:Also my brother tried to convince me that their was a Dispensor toy back in 2007 and I went yeh right like that'll happen!

Yeah, looking at my one, and he IS pretty beefy for a deluxe figure. they'll probably sell him at the Voyager price point too.

No, it is the exact same figure, except with chrome and slightly different paint. It's the same size it always was. What we're saying is that, because of the size difference between figures NOW and figures when THIS one was made, and the cost of producing them, THIS one will be sold as a voyager. The figure it's self hasn't changed size. Rather, they *might* price it as such, there's no info for pricing yet.

Actually, we already know the MSRP in Yen for all figures via the official TakaraTomy site:
AoE Deluxes: 2,800 Yen
AoE Voyagers: 4,500 Yen
AoE Leaders: 7,500 Yen
The Legacy releases are priced on their own merit thanks to TakaraTomy's very flexible pricing system:
Legacy Deluxes: 3,200 Yen
Battle Blade Bumblebee: 4,000 Yen
Revenge Optimus Prime: 4,800 Yen
Devastator: 6,500 Yen
For the pricing in USD, remove the last two zeroes.
But yes, prices have risen, jumped compared to previous years. The latest toys shrink but keep the set prices, while the older, bigger releases become more expensive when re-released.

Instead of being packaged in robot mode they package it in vehicle mode and sell it on one of the cards or a smaller box

Are you assuming it's going to be priced like a Voyager because it's in a Voyager-sized box? I'm not sure that's necessarily the case.

Actually it's being priced between a deluxe and voyager. It's price is based on it's size in robot mode which is much larger than an average deluxe.

Stuff I Saw: (I'm going off of class based off their box size, I can't read Japanese) (sorry for all the parentheses)
Another Bumblebee (leader class, I think) This bumblebee had a vehicle mode that looked more like his vehicle mode in the first michael bay movie. He's got a sweet looking sword, as well as a (flip down?) battle mask like the one he used in the other movies.
Deluxe Class Starscream
Deluxe Ratchet
Deluxe Dispensor
I don't know what class he is, but in the very corner of one of the pictures, there's a box for devastator. The art shows his giant-worm-thingy alt mode, and I can't see the full box, so I have no idea what his class is. He's probably leader or bigger.
The final figure I could see was a deluxe class Jolt.
Thx for stopping in! Please let me know if these have been revealed already. Also, if you want more info on how the toys look, tell me in the comments, but keep in mind that the paint jobs will probably be different in the US since these are the Japanese toys.

AD16 Autobot Dino (aka Mirage), a retool of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Sideways.
AD17 Darkside Soundwave, a repaint of Dark of the Moon Deluxe Soundwave. He's actually based on the canceled Movie Trilogy figure.
Two more will be released alongside other Movie toys, but they haven't been revealed yet. Keep an eye on the Official TakaraTomy site for the time being.

The packaging, with some superb art of Jolt :
In car mode, with comparisons with his other versions. The blue plastic used on the figure is absolutely gorgeous.
And here is the robot mode, nothing different from the mold first release, just the two whips, which look really good on him.
Apart from loose hips, the figure is really good. it also have a slight paint issue on the right eye, but I will fix it myself. Pretty terrified to pop the balljoint of the leg out to reinforce the hip, though. In conclusion, I must say that the figure is a bit too fiddly for my tastes, but it looks pretty darn good, and I don't regret my purchase, even if it's overshadowed by the glorious Evasion Optimus.
