My Optimus Prime halloween costume is assembled as a statue in basement, and frankly, that's good enough for me!

It looks almost EXACTLY like someone stood up 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime, posed him stiffly, took a snapshot, then mucked it up in Photoshop. I'm 98% sure that the photo on the listing is a mockup, and nothing more.

I'd agree. I just thought it was funny. There's no way I'd buy it. Not that my wife would let me if I wanted to.

Just... damn. That's a big arse Prime! And a big arse price tag if I've ever seen one.

First of all if someone thinks only size can get them profit well think again. For almost 4000 bucks and hundreds for shipping that piece of crap better go to work for me as well or at least i can claim him on my tax return.
Here is how it should be done - Cut the damn thing down to half the size, make it fully transformable as the leader size for the same price and i might reconsider it.
I hate it when jerks out there toying with people money.

AND it will be a business expense... as will every other TF related purchase you would make afterwards.
How bout it? Any Midwest American TF fans wanna go in on the First Transformer Nightclub?
This could be the 'Cinderella's Palace' of the TF Disney World!

I can afford it, but I'd be out of money. Thank god I still know a rich friend.
I'm guessing by afford though, you mean have leftover money.

But I think it's fake. Come on! A giant Optimus Prime statue is rediculas enough. But to say it's from a company called "'86 Hero Toys" ... really!? '86? As in the year the original TFTM came out. Just sounds too crazy and coincidental to me.

I would think that at 6'6" this Optimus Prime statue would be difficult to pull off, even for you. (That'd be saying something given how great the galleries tend to turn out.)

To sum up, it all led to alot of people saying "Sorry, but no", and they made it anyway.

If you cared about this community, you would put out the $4000 you don't have, and buy the 6 foot robot you don't want!!!

Still how many people could say "wanna come see my Giant Prime Statue?"

I would love to!!! Depends on where you live, but.... I have been pondering the idea of opening somthing in that capacity. It would give people who aren't interested in sports bars a place to go enjoy the things they love too, and have a few drinks. Picture it, Anime of somesort playing on the screens, better interior design(futureistic maybe), and kick ass japanese arcade style videogames, and best of all, The Transformers Movie Soundtrack(and stuff of the like) on the jukebox!!! Sounds like heaven on earth to me.......
Oh yeah, the statue rocks, but i wouldn't be able to safely afford it on my own. I wonder if it includes the matrix? That would convince me to consider it further.

I wanna go to a RL Energon Pub! I'll make you a dart board with Wheelie on it, even!

Ditto! I love the thing to death, but forget it! Heck, produce a plastic version this big (even if it's hollow), then we'll talk! I have an entire PA system/DJ set up, complete with lights, an LCD projector, screen, 2 large speakers, mixer, amp, stands, cords, etc. and it only cost about $2,200. Just putting things in perspective from my end.

Forget the price. Thats what Credit Cards and third mortgages are for anyway. The real issue is space.
Mmm, I'm kinda bummed out now. I'm buying a place next summer. Till then I don't have the space to put it anywhere.
Well, this just got added to my Holy Grail list. I will definately have to hunt one of these down at some point in the future.
Besides, would be kinda cool to mail it to Ryan for a gallery.

Man, we may need to start a Giant Optimus Prime Anonymous Club.
Get together everyday and say, "Today is day 4 that I have resisted taking out a Credit card and buying a 6 FOOT FIVE Prime."
SIX FOOT FIVE!!!!! Thats a 14 inches taller than my GF!!!
God, the more I think about this, the more I want it.
And to those who said aww it doesn't transform. Umm, even if it did, I think transforming a 4000 dollar, 200 pound figure without damaging it would be a tad too risky.
