Well Autobot N has shown us an image from TMizer's Facebook page which is titled "「Rumor」Official products of transformers. upcoming in 2017" and it repeats a lot of toys that we have already seen rumoured, with some new ones. Here is the image:

The top are arranged by classes with Beachcomber under the Legends section. This si the first mention of this toy. Also, you will see how Brawn is absent from this list, along with the redeco of either Leader Ultra Magnus or the Powermaster Prime retool. Seaspray is mentioned but in a section below with a lot of new names of toys that are surely in different classes and include: Deathsaurus, Starscream, Abominus, Dinobot, Huffer, Windcharger, Grotusque, Flywheels, Battletrap, Snapdragon, Godbomber, BLOOD, Darkwing, Dreadwind, Blackzarack, Landross and Carnivac.
The recent rumour of Blackshadow showed that Pretenders were joining the Titans Return line so it makes sense to see Blood and Carnivac here who are dead ringers for redecos/retools of Mindwipe and Wolfwire respectively.
The most intriguing though are the mentiones of Abominus and Predaking, which are on every fan's want list. Hopefully all this pans out but until we see any images, take these new rumours with a grain of salt.

Thats interesting since Carnivac sems like a much more feasable toy to imagine. Its just a Wolfwire redeco.

Very interesting list indeed, lots of unexpected characters and I'm loving it. I wouldn't worry about characters not being listed as there's no mention of Topspin, broadside or any of the legends figures recently leaked.
I really hope Deathsaurus is true because I would love a new, real Deathsaurus.

FYI Overlords Power Master gimmick wasn't integral to the transformation. All the Powermasters did was pop out some breast guns
Actually, they did a bit more than that.
His powermasters were somewhat integral to the transformation in that they unlocked the tank section to split into the legs, and unlocked the arms in the jet mode. Granted you could totally press the buttons in the slots yourself without the powermasters, but they did have that function.
Hate to ask, are you sure? The video review I saw led me to believe that the bits just came apart
I'm sure. The slots have release mechanisms for both legs and arms. Unless the latches are broken, you need to press the release buttons to have them pop apart.
It was part of the Powermaster gimmick generally. Unlocking the transformation is some way.
Ginrai unlocked Super Ginrai's / Prime's legs for transformation for example.
This review shows the unlocking:

I think that it's more meant as a "we aren't completely sure of this toy's existence".william-james88 wrote:Autobot N wrote:Also, I found this on TFW2005:

As for my thoughts on the rumors, out of the stuff we haven't heard of before, I'm most excited for Predaking, Battletrap, and Starscream.

It is the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars.
To be fair though, their homage to the 30th anniversary of the film is not all that great.
I think there is too much going on to also release new figures for Beast Wars right now. Hopefully that's something in the planning stages for the 25th anniversary.
As for the 30th anniversary of the film, I am also a bit disappointed. I'm happy we're getting amazing representations of the characters, but I'm not happy Hasbro forced all of them into the Titans Return gimmick of the line. As much as I like my TR Galvatron, I really wish he'd just be 30th Anniversary Galvatron. Same with Scourge and Hot Rod and Blurr. I think it would have been neat if they could have found a way to keep the cockpits in the deluxe class figures to interact with the Titan Masters but not actually made them Titan Masters themselves. However, as the figures were adapted to be Target Masters back in the day I don't find myself too annoyed at the change to headmasters.
Thing is, I've only gotten Galvatron so far from the TR line, and that might be my only purchase this year. I'm quite happy with Generations Blurr, though maybe if Hasbro had colored TR Blurr like Takara I would have picked that up. I don't have a Scourge but I don't pick up figures I have to fix. Though I may get Scourge at a later date on a sale of some sort, possibly a clearance, I'm not ruling that out. I'm also happy with Generations Kup so I don't see myself getting TR Kup either. I am very excited about TR Hot Rod as I was never happy with Classics Rodimus' arms (though I love his jet pack).
I thought about getting Astrotrain but I'm leaning against it. I think that's a decision I'll make in person in the store if I ever see one in a store. I have no plans to order one online. If Hardhead came with the Takara head I would get him, and if Highbrow's propellers locked in robot mode I would get him. These are things I can't overlook.
I'm thinking about getting Chromedome, but I want to see good pictures of Getaway first, though if I see Chromedome in a store I may give in. I'm not happy there is no paint on the Titan Master's head, but I do like the Chromedome face. That combined with how well the figure works and that Chromedome is Arcee's 3rd boyfriend may seal it for me.
So this year I may only get two TR figures. I'll see what my total TR count will be, but it won't be high. My CW count is seven (all 6 Aerialbots and Blades). I don't think my TR count will surpass that.

Wait, what? 0_o since when?
Also, just figured out a couple of redeco reasons why Windcharger may be getting a new toy despite not being a prominent character in... well, anything.
1. Tailgate. Tailgate's obviously a really big character in MTMTE, and unlike a lot of Thrilling 30 toys meant to represent characters from that series, I recall a lot of people not liking the Tailgate toy.
2. Trypticon's coming, and he needs his entourage.

o.supreme wrote:Predaking...Abominus......hoping as many have speculated...they still use the CW/UW design system...if they do...does anyone think these will continue in Japan as part of the UW line...or will they be part of the Legends line?
Don't see any reason for them to not use the CW system; it's a solid system that's proved to be extremely effective, designing an entirely new system would take up time and money for what at the end of the day would be really pointless, and Abominus was Scramble City in 1987 and hence it'd make sense for him to use the same system.
I can easily see Takara continuing UW with these guys, yeah.
Still, it's weird to me that they'd be in Titans Return at all; especially with all the other confirmed rumours for the later waves leaving no space for them... maybe these rumours partly leak into the next line which'd be beast combiner based?

Perhaps we need to start calling it "Prime Wars Trilogy" before the 3rd line actually comes out since there is already significant bleed over between CW & Titans Return - especially as they are all essentially just part of the same sub-theme under the generations Banner anyway - which is why they can get away with continuing to shoehorn Wingblade into every available nook & cranny.
Or why having a Combiner Wars "Cartoon" is only slightly bizarre to have as a current marketing tool... that bleed over means there is still likely to be a fair few Rugrats who get CW toys for Crimbo 2016. so Advertising them still isn't completely bizarre, a little Bizarre but not completely so.

And to segue this back into Titans Return while still talking about RID Decepticons, who do we think is going to redeco TR Voyager Prime as RID Scourge first? Whatever replaces the Club or Takara?
It looks suitable for a Tokyo Toyshow exclusive to me, with e-Hobby being a possibility. There is all those other obscure ways Takara gets things out thought too - like Millionaire Publishing Exclusives or the odd outlet exclusive - though they don't seem to do that as much as they did in the previous decade.

Japan didn't get Beast Machines until 2004, years after they had made Car Robots.
Perhaps a Japanese viewer or an early sub can confirm - but the info may be "Behind the scenes" info from somewhere like Telemanga or similar.
Basically the idea is that Some Time travel event altered the past so when the "Autobots" /Cybertrons (new ones not G1 characters) return to Cybertron from some mission of colony recall they are traditional Transformers greeted with a techno-organic world someone takes a dislike to this (Megatron/Gigatron possibly) and travels to the past to try to undo it some how or other. in the process changing the past.
So they left from the same universe as G1/Beast Wars and Beast Machines (yes even before Beast Wars Returns was made) but in the process of time travelling cemented their status as a "Alternative Universe".. but a daughter Universe not some random parallel dimension like IDW or Armada but an actual off-shoot terminator style.
I hope someone else remembers this so I don't seem quite so loopy as this sounds in retrospect. making a show a sequel to another show that they'd not even had at the time does sound a bit potty.

-TR Triggerhappy (TRiggerhappy?) now has fins on the back of his jet mode. Said back of jet mode with the fins now transforms into his legs. Both of these characteristics were not on his G1 toy, but were very prominent on G1 Misfire's toy.
-The sides of the jet turn into his arms, with the wings folded back. From what I can tell this is the same on G1 Misfire, plus it would allow you to fold the wings forward for an appearance more reminiscent of MTMTE Misfire.
-The cockpit of Triggerhappy's alt mode has now been moved back to a similar location to G1 Misfire's, as opposed to G1 Triggerhappy's cockpit being right at the front of the alt mode.

Just as I was thinking once RID is executed in 2017 they might shift over from (whatever small transformers are called this week) to making some more Micromasters too.
I was thinking that Replacement for Titan Master 2 pack might be Micromasters (in late 2017 or 2018) - thought 2017 etc.. being multiple movie years is likely going to throw a spanner in the works a bit there.
Perhaps the Pretender characters are not pretenders at all just more Titan Masters - not unlike what they did with Skullgrin already.

Transformers: The Headmasters (Japanese G1 cartoon)
G1 Arcee gets around, from Hot Rod to Springer to Chromedome. We had this discussion a while back in another thread.

But if you stick with Hasbro's The Rebirth instead of ignoring it and moving on to Japan's superior (IMHO, chill people who prefer American continuity) The Headmasters you get Daniel Witwicky instead, and that's... problematic (among other things).
