Can't wait to get him. I love the box aesthetic and character art. And he's just an all-round awesome figure.

He belongs roof up, this is packaged the wrong way.

Well, maybe. I just never took into account that the previous Prime was might have a protoform in protoform packaging, so who knows?

My theory on this is that they want to keep the packaging the same size and shape for all the voyager class figures. They'll probably need that space to accommodate the wings on figures like Lugnut.

Exactly... That box could at least be downsized a bit. It'd be almost perfect for Leader class figs in vehicle mode to be put in one of those. But Voyager class? Way too small.

Movie Optimus Prime has actually had *3* iterations: The Target Exclusive with "Supermetal Finish", the standard voyager version, and "First Strike" G1-homage version.
Then there's Classics Prime, of course.

If both the Movie voyagers and the Classics voyager count, wouldn't this one be #5?

That sounds disappointing. I want to transform the whole thing myself. I don't want a "push to transform" button.

Alot of people would probably disagree with you on that one. I have been waiting for a transformer that transforms itself for quite some time. It would make stop motion movies much easier.
