I read this article 2 hours after it was posted. Scourge was "Out of Stock" when I proceeded to checkout!!!! Listen up people! I want 3 just like everyone else!!! I know some money hungry scalper douche bag purchased like 50 hoping to screw people on Ebay. I hope he gets his arse burned when they mass release these things in Wal-Mart near April.

But the people who buy 3 are screwing over the people who only want one. If you're buying at some local store and you know you're the only transfan in the area, or if you're armybuilding a shelfwarmer then that's one thing. But if you're buying multiples of a popular online figure you're just as bad as any scalper; the only difference is that you're NOT giving other fans a chance to buy even at an inflated price.
This rant isn't aimed at you, it's aimed at anyone who is buying more than their fair share in advance.

I see this topic and immediately pull up the HTS page it shows Jazz, Scourge, Prime, ect... all available for pre-order, I click the window tab to return here to make a reply, but when I return to HTS all the figures that just said Preorder now all say Out of stock??? I changed tabs for less than a minute and suddenly everything that was there is gone...
And Kup wasn't listed anywhere.
Now I just looked on HTS again and it shows Jazz and Tracks available but the others are still"Out of Stock"...
and still I don't see Kup on any of the 9 pages...

You do know that HTS limits you to a maximum of five on any figure per order. If you figure in the initial shipping costs, it isn't economically feasible to scalp off HTS.

I went online and bought 12 just so there would not be any left for you!!!!!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
I understand being disappointed about not being able to obtain one, but it is not fair to blame others for wishing to fulfill their dream of building a sweep army. Some of us have been waiting for over 25 years for the opportunity. I believe scalping isn't fair, but I find it completely understandable that people want to buy three of this particular figure.
I finally decided to just pre-order my stuff at places like TFSource and BBTS, because it simply isn't worth my time to constantly check and re-check my local stores in the hope of finding one (or three in this case). Yes, I am paying more $$ by pre-ordering, but I place a high value on my time. I pre-ordered United Scourge who will serve as the actual character Scourge to distinguish him from my two Hasbro Scourges who will serve as his sweeps.

I'm going to have to disagree. If we were talking about a figure that had common availability that would be one thing. If Scourges were staying in stock online or in stores that would be cool. But when it comes to a figure that people are having real trouble finding and when it comes to online stores where everyone is waiting anxiously for more stock buying two sweeps means you are taking two other fan's Scourges.
In a couple of week's time, when Scourge has been distributed properly I will be totally cool with people sweep-buying but before then I just consider it to be unfair greed.

There are some figures that just seem to stay on the shelves forever (Skids and Mudflap). And for some bizarre reason, if they ever DO start running low, the stores rush to re-stock TONS of them. 'We're out of Mudflap! We must order 60,000 more before its too late!!!'
Then there are other figures like Mindwipe, TFA Arcee, Scourge and Kup that never seem to make it to the store shelves - and those are the POPULAR ones.
Someone needs to come up with the mathematical equation that represents this. Because there seems to be a direct correlation between how crappy a tformer is, and the huge number of them that wind up on shelves. Conversely, there's also a direct correlation to how totally boss a figure is, and how FEW stores seem to order.
Anyhoo, the only one I'm missing for the moment is Wreck-Gar. If I see another Scourge on sale... maybe. Wreck Gar must be popular, because he's nowhere to be found either. After that, I'll be waiting for Lugnut and Wheeljack... In yo' FACE, scalpers - I got mine!

Sad thing is, I happen to be one of the ones who want just one. Lot of ones I just said...

Fair enough I see your point. But I do not have multiple's of anything but G1's. I don't have the budget to buy 2 and keep one in the box. I buy Transformers I plan to keep. I could have scalped in the past, but chose not to. I know some "collectors" who buy items ONLY because they know the potential for inflated prices (Shadow Scyther?). The Sharkticons from Botcon are the only thing I have multiples of unless I'm kitbashing something. Do I need 3? not to complete Generations. Do I want 3 for Sweeps to go with my United Scourge? Ofcourse. I know many plan to do the same thing. I apologize for the rant, but scalpers piss me off. I wish they would just go ahead and sell drugs and leave my toys alone!

Wreck-Gar WAS available for a short time but by the time I ordered one and was about to post the news story, he was unavailable again.

I was able to order only one Scourge on 3/2/11. I tried for two, but it kept coming up error, so I settled for one thinking the online store had set the limit for this guy to one per customer. Once that order was confirmed I went back to order another Scourge for it to inform me it was out of stock. I had managed to get the only one they had at that time. It's currently en route to my house.
On 3/11/11 I was able to order two from http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com. So with those two, the one that's en route to me right now, and the one I already have, that brings my total up to four Scourges that will play as my Sweeps. I've ordered the Takara version of Scourge from Digital Toys and it will be my true Scourge and leader of my Sweeps.

I just received in the mail the one Scourge I ordered online from http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com on 3/2/11. That's two I own now. Now I just have to wait for my other two Generations Scourges and my Takara version Scourge to complete my Sweeps.
