And why did the lady on the phone say anytime between now and Friday. Real customer friendly.
I agree, I hung up with her and literally 1-3 minutes later I refreshed and they were listed. Luckily I got back through instantly and managed to snag a Brute, but damn.

Might get CJ later. And I literally just went through... add to cart.. add to cart.. add to cart... then checkout. Everything was going so well too.
well, I did get the HISS earlier on eBay, for double the price plus shipping, but man, this was the first year I was not able to get any of the things I want from HTS (Joe or Transformers).

Oh well, I just pre-ordered the G2 version off Amazon for $49.00 since I had a $10 voucher. That makes each figure only $10 which is probably what they're worth AND I'll still get a special box/packaging and won't have to hunt them down individually. The G2 version was my second favorite and I only spent half as much, but I still feel like lost coming in a second place finish...
At least I don't have to hit F5 every 15 seconds now. I'm happy that at least some of you were able to snag one. I hope they don't wait until the Wednesday after SDCC next year to post these!

Agreed. In four or five years of playing this game, I've always managed to come out on top, maybe a bit worse for the wear. But this was brutal. And losing an item that's already in your cart is just cruel. Time to feed the scalpers for my Bruticus...

Am I the only one who thinks the Avengers Helicarrier looks like crap? I realize it can't be EXACTLY like the on-screen ship, but did the toy guys even SEE the movie? Two completely different things. And huge scale-fail w/ the included figures. Pass; hopefully they'll make a small-scale die-cast or something that looks like the one in the movie.

This year was just pathetic!! Even the prices anymore are ridiculous. I think Hasbro along with everyone else has lost all concept of what "collector" really means! They do NOTHING to really help the "collector" to actually GET these items easily. or even in a reasonable price range, hell not even close!! Instead they just see a chance at creating some new packaging, and selling new toys for double on up of what retail would be. Only for most "collectors" to "miss out" on there "collectible toys". I know Im ranting now, but its bullshit!! And you all know it!!
CORRECTION, I GUESS THERE WAS A LIMIT. TOO BAD IT DIDNT MATTER, RIGHT?

This REALLY p!$$es me off!
I could have snagged these if I thought today was the day, and I even checked this morning around 9AM
Mattycollector has a "coming soon" notification for their SDCC stuff

I just feel sour about the going non-Con prices for these, but makes me realize that I didn't really need to get Bruticus or CJ (I already have the Takara Terrorcon). HISSwave is still a must... and the X-Force 3-pack.

Yes. This is one of those instances where a mild pre-order campaign would have worked out very well.

They had to know that this would be one of the most desired sets they've created in a very long time so I don't see Hasbro just passing up the opportunity to make much more money by producing more product.
I'm not going for the scalper prices on ebay, I'm gonna stick it out and watch HTS for more stock to come up.

I was lucky and got my Bruticus before they sold out. Crap that was fast!!
What really bugs me is that due to the demand and unfortunate aftermarket seller greed, a lot, if not most of these were bought by retail and ebay folks looking to flip them for twice as much.
It kind of bothers me that these folks are taking advantage of fans that just really want a toy for their collection.
it is sad, but it is just a reality.

I believe it should be illegal. HTS and all other retailers are not wholesalers, thus they are not supposed to be selling product through those retail channels to other resellers who turn around and sell it for a markup. The scalpers create a false scarcity/rarity to the products by purchasing them all, leaving consumers who actually intend to purchase the goods for themselves unable to buy the products through normal retail channels for retail prices.
It is technically against the law, but since these small ebay sellers are able to get away with doing what they do without a proper business license, there's nothing to be done about it.
it is nice to see that HTS had a 1 per household limit on Bruticus though. I'm sure it didn't help, as the scalpers are certainly smart enough to make multiple accounts/addresses to ship to (PO boxes I'm guessing), but it least it makes it a bit more of a challenge.
Either way, I'm not paying $250 for a $50 set that was already marked up to $100. The scalpers can keep the fucking things at that price.

you do realize that HTS has a limit of 1 per household. Even if people ordered multiple, HTS will manually cancell all duplicate orders. Unless of course, the scalpers went to the trouble of ordering with multiple addresses, multiple accounts and multiple credit cards.

I was well aware of the HTS limits at both the show and HTS.com. I was speaking on the fact that the scalpers and aftermarket retailers pay folks to buy as many as they can to flip them later. They have no interest whatsoever in the toys themselves. They are just taking advantage of a money making opportunity. I didn't say it was wrong, or illegal either. I just said it sucked, because it takes advantage of those who are just fans and just want the toy for their collection.
Greed isn't illegal, it just sucks.

There is a 3 foot helicarrier that is already available on TRU.com and comes with a movie style Captain. It's still just a plastic plank with guns though.

Naw, Matrix prime didnt sell out and sat on HTS until just recently.

Please don't be naive.
Three things to remember, looking at past years.
1: they don't care
2: they don't care
3: they don't care

That's what I'm thinking. Hasbro must have more stock than this. Even with all the demand, I don't buy that it sold out as quick as it did unless the initial quantity was VERY limited, which is unlike Hasbro, even with exclusives. They usually make a ton so that they can sell a ton.

Because they make them to sell at the convention. It's a courtesy that they do this at all, many companies don't and their convention exclusives are only ever sold at that convention, regardless of how much stock they have left.
