Hello! Yesterday we unveiled Bludgeon, today, find attached our final INDIVIDUAL figure reveal, IMPACTOR with bonus weapons pack. However, that doesn’t mean we are done yet! Tomorrow we reveal the COMBINED mode of the Mayhem Attack Squad! And we have a couple last minute art reveals on their way as well!
The TFSS 4.0 order period will be open through September 2nd. In addition to the new head sculpts for Bludgeon and Impactor, the combined mode of the 5 figures that make up the Mayhem Attack Squad will feature a brand new head sculpt as well!
The service is available to anyone who is a member of the Transformers Collectors’ Club. The cost of this additional service is $297 (plus shipping). People can pay all at once or in 3 installments. Once again, the 6 toys that make up the COMBINER WARS themed TFSS 4.0 are: Bludgeon, Windsweeper, Spinister, Ruckus and Needlenose (The Mayhem Attack Squad) along with Impactor (Leader of the Wreckers). In addition to that, subscribers will receive a BONUS 7th figure to be mailed out with your final shipment (The identity of the 7th figure will be revealed once subscribers get their final shipment.)
A reminder to your readers: Like with the TFSS 3.0, we do not anticipate having any extra individual units of the 6 figures for sale in the TCC Store, so your best bet to ensure you get these great figures is to order your TFSS 4.0 today!

Well hush my mouth. I didn't think he could hold any of that. Thanks for the verification!

Still, I think they could've sprung for a drill and harpoon attachment...

Too many weapons. I know that much more senior fans love weapons, but if I can't store it all in Alt- and bot-mode, there is too much. And I see that it CAN store in all those modes, but it is still a bit much.

okay so here's my problem. Impactor is supposed to have a murder arm, where a weapon replaces the hand. The problem with combiner wars rook is that the weapon ports are on his wrist, so the figure, clearly has two hands. Having those two hands ruins Impactor's look in my opinion. Arcee's swords don't resemble impactor's melee lozenge. Another important aspect is the rectangular barrel for his gun mounted on his shoulder, more accurately for human anatomy mounted on the Scapula/Clavicle bones. Neither the handfootgun, nor arcee's guns resemble impactor's rectangular shoulder mounted gun, and are instead connected to the upper arm or more accurately Humerus. The more they show and add to impactor, the less I feel the Combiner Wars rook mold was suited for it.

I'm not saying i've seen every thing the club has done, or played with every figure. But I do think it's a pretty amazing planet we live on, and a man would have to be some kinda fool to think I hate everything the club has done. Just most things.

The weapon ports are in his fists though not his wrists. And sure it's not perfect but there's not much you can do with very limited remolding and paint.

One can just be swapped out for weapons.
And now with this toy, both of them can.

Even though it won't sway your opinion, I feel it necessary to point out that his weapon arm is apparently painted completely purple, whereas the other arm's hand is orange. So there is an illusion that the other hand is gone.

No, on this toy, he can have both fists and both weapons at the same time

I see your points. I'm sure we'd all like Impactor to get a dedicated mold in an ideal situation.
Plus, you made a Big Trouble in Little China reference. I can't argue with that.

And Thunderwing? What? The only member of the team with any attachment to him in any fiction is Bludgeon. The other members of Mayhem are just along for the ride. And Thunderwing doesn't work (in my opinion, of course) as a Gestalt. He's either got to be like his Generations Deluxe, or a Giant all on his own. The head just looks really out of place, even if you ignore the crazy color-scheme happening.
Still, no big loss. This announcement was what I was waiting for to decide on getting the TFSS, and it convinced me not to. The individual bots look fantastic, but the combined mode (The mode I prefer to put Gestalt Teams into) does not look good one bit (again, just my opinion).

Downbeat wrote:I question entirely both the decision to make Bludgeon a combiner torso with a normal head then not using his skull face for the combined mode, and also the name "Thunder Mayhem". It sounds more like a project or operation than a proper gestalt name.
I question the all-but-universal assumption (this is by no means limited to the post I'm quoting) that a non-Pretender Bludgeon MUST have a skull face.

Or maybe "Mayhem Maximus".

Actually, so far as I can find on tfwiki, the four limb bots never were all Mayhems. The only time they all four worked together was in the G1 comic issue "Kings of the Wild Frontier" where they worked with Thunderwing. So Bludgeon is actually the odd bot out in this team. Doesn't change the fact that you're right about the colors being pretty gross, though, or that I don't like Bludgeon's bot or vehicle modes very much in those colors and with that head. Plus, $100 is almost too much to pay for these combiners, so $300 is never happening.

Yeah, Bludgeon, Spinister and Needlenose were Mayhems. Windsweeper and Ruckus weren't (in that continuity anyways) but were with Needlenose and Spinister when they worked for Thunderwing but Bludgeon wasn't part of of that so this team is an odd mix up of the two.
I REALLY dislike the idea of Thunderwing being relegated to some team's combined form rather than being his own character. He was cool in the Marvel comics and of my fave characters.
Really the only things I want out of this set are Spinister and Needlenose (with their targetmasters), Windsweeper and Ruckus ain't bad. Bludgeon is kinda ugly (and as mentioned before I love my RotF Bludgeon with swappable faces and chromed swords). I wouldn't mind having the Thunderwing head and sticking it on some other jet TF like Universe Silverbolt or something to try make a decent large Thunderwing (I liked the Deluxe design but come on, WAY too frickin' small for this character).
