The first thing you are probably asking yourself is "What the heck is The Transformer Superalloy C-80 Wheelie Survivalist?", and that would be a valid question. There's quite a bit of misinformation surrounding this figure, because two different third-party groups are producing versions of Jazai Toys' Wheelie and Powerglide. There's the version that I mentioned earlier and there will a version by X-Transbots known as TB02 Survivalist/Detectibot. The Superalloy version has been upsized to roughly Deluxe size and is composed of about 75% diecast, hence the name. From what I understand the X-Transbots version retains the original Jazai Toys scale and is made entirely of plastic. Hopefully that clears up some of the confusion.
On to the review. Keep in mind I don't have the set-up, equipment, or skills that Seibertron has.
He comes in a small cardboard box about the same quality as most third-party companies use and encased in a plastic tray. Also included are his instruction sheet/mini-poster featuring the art from the back of the box, two cards one of which is translucent, and a large sticker sheet with a bunch of additional faction symbols. Sadly no slingshot accessory, but according to the box it will be included with their next release Powerglide.
Construction, like I said before about 3/4 diecast, plastic naturally, and rubber tires.
Articulation: ball-jointed head, shoulders, elbows, wrist, hips, and feet. Hinged knees and there's also a little added articulation in the hips due to the transformation. His shoulder articulation isn't the greatest, since it lacks lateral movement, but it's acceptable.
Overall I'm pleased with my purchase. Initially I was little disappointed with his rather large size, but considering all the upscaling the Minibots have received in the Classics line I've come to accept his growth spurt. I paid $53.00 which included EMS shipping. The only place I know to purchase this figure is a seller on iOffer. It's the same seller who previously offered the KO Headmaster 10 pack.

I bought mine from this iOffer seller:

I paid $53.00, but it looks like he's asking $55.00 now. Still though, considering this is a third-party figure, the amount of diecast, and the inclusion of EMS shipping it's a pretty decent price. Flux Convoy mentioned Ace's Toystore plans on getting them too.

Ive never bought form ioffer before, is it safe? is that seller good? and is that Headmaster box set worth it? Is the quality near the originals?

How do you figure? It's got more detail than Wheelie's actual animation model.
HA! Well played, sir or ma'am.
I couldn't help but notice the Elite Guard sticker option. If Wheelie is in the Elite Guard then, to paraphrase Ned Flanders, it "looks like [The Elite Guard's] easier to get into than Arizona State."

iOffer is as safe as eBay or any other auction website, you pay with PayPal so you have some built in protection there. As for the seller, he's legit. I've purchased from him twice now, Wheelie and the Headmaster gift set. The Headmaster gift set is very nice, it's on par with the originals. No complaints what so ever.

OK
Thanks, I had most of the originals years ago. But sold them off, the money was too good to pass up. Dont really want to spend that much anymore on something like Headmasters. Might have to snag one of those then.

That is Fansproject's Warbot Defender; an homage to Springer.

I agree. I'll either go with the iGear version or the MT one. I'm hoping MT's minibots are a little bigger since it appears the iGear ones are legends size.

Could you maybe take a few pics showing off the (lack of) articulation? I want to see what kinds of things he can do before I shell out the cash. Of course, it is a very reasonable price anyway, much less than I paid for that terrible G1 Arcee figure...
I'll try to take some more pics tomorrow. Just curious, which Arcee? Impossible Toys Valk or iGear Delicate Warrior? I have both, and thought Valk was piece of junk, but Delicate Warrior on the other hand is quite nice.

Dont worry the good news is theyre gonna KO the I-Gear Arcee. Theres a lot of money to be made with Medic and Chromia repaints so in the end you saved money. As far as Wheelie, maybe I could deal with the large size, but no posability kills the sale for me. Ill wait and see what I-Gear or Maketoys got for Wheelie.

Taking a look at the Japanese Figure magazine scans, the original deluxe sized prototype for Wheelie doesn't hold a candle to this. I salute the original Jizai design

I can personally vouch for Aces toy store for those who have never heard of them before. They do excellent business, ship fast and pack well. They have had a listing for this figure since last week actually and I was wondering if anyone had heard about it. One of the good thing about Aces is they have a counter next to the figure to show you how many units they have in stock. A small convience but it is nice. They also carry the TFC hercules figures for the cheapest I've seen for a company in the states, My exgraver was 97$ after shipping..
I was on the fence about this little guy but I think Im gonna pick him up now, Thanks EL D!

All the joints are tight on mine and the transformation holds to together just fine. I've heard the X-Transbot Wheelie will be the same size as the original and all plastic, but that's just hearsay.

No, it's fine I didn't take it that way. They seem the same because in many ways they are the same, both being basically KO's of the Jazai Toys Wheelie, many have confused the two projects. What I have is definitely not an X-Transbots product. I think most of the confusion comes from the Superalloy version coming in under the radar, and getting confused with the more well promoted X-Transbots.
Ace's Toystore also has this guy listed as Superalloy C-80.
Here's the box for the X-Transbot Wheelie, as you can see it's completely different from what I received.

Normally, I'd go for the larger one, but Wheelie actually is supposed to be a little guy. I'm happy with the official Legends version, but ... it'd be nice to have one closer to the G1 model. Plus, there's just something appealing about most of the movie guys being 3rd party products.

Is it possible that X-Transbot changed their name and packaging at the last moment to Superalloy?

Thanks, I appreciate the clarification and that you were able to take it in stride. I guess these really did come under the radar then. I assumed it was the same thing. That's the first I've seen of that black box. I'm happpy to hear about the smaller versions coming. This one looks great but I'd like something more in scale for the Classics collection. This guy seems to fit as a MP Wheelie just fine though.

The diecast and limited articulation makes posing very tricky. As mentioned, it's a pretty good candidate as a MP-Wheelie. Too big to go with the classics figures.

What are the joints like? Are they tight and does the figure hold together in both modes? Are you able to get it to stay in a pose? I am debating getting this or the XTransbot.

Joints are tight, and he holds together well in both modes. Articulation is a little limited in the shoulders, but Xtransbots is using the same design so it will have the same posing limitations.
