All I can say is you're lucky this is a computer, and that your a staff member.....
Or you'd be gone by now...
Ooops...let my anger get in the way...deep breaths....
But seriously.
That sucks.

The best part of it is seeing just how far off the mark the idea realy is when it happens, pure awesome.
Think about it, Space 1999, Transformers The Movie, The Jetsons...
All this stuff already happened, and all I can say is "Not so much"

I hope, by then, they can be kept on the road. We have enough problems now.

Well...their new concepts are working up, so you never know.
Now, they may not be BUILT, but they have their chances.
Like the Fairlane gone Flex.
Anyway...what happned to the good days? When cars were built for driving, fun, and drag-racing?
Now all anyone wants is "safety" and "MPG" and, disgustingly "hybrids." No company is able to withstand it either.

Not to get involved, but he may be right. I work in auto advertising, and can tell you that GM and the foriegn market has a loaded gun pointed right at Ford's head.
Maybe it because they are last in line in intergrating new safety devices in all there vehichiles. Maybe it's because in a politicly correct they haven't fully switched from things like Cigarette lighters to 12volt outlets. Maybe it's because they are still sticking to producing mostly gas guzzling trucks and being oblivious to rising gas prices. Maybe it's because they are last in line in hybrid develipment and increasing fuel efficency...
Or maybe it's karma for Henry supporting Hitler
But there is a very good chance that Ford will be gone by 2057 if not sooner, and thats what happens, you move ahead or fall behind.
It's The American Way.

honestly, Ford isn't my worry, it's Amrican cars altogether. If it goes under, I'm going with it.
(Funny, cause I can't drive [legally] yet)
Anyway,

People just can't see a forest for trees. They see it for conservation.

Hey, I love off roading!!!!!!!!!
It's great, but wait till you're off your bike and paying $85+ to fill a tank on an Expidition, or Escalade.
Lets see how much you love them then and jump into a Civic Hybrid!?!
I for one say if your gonna get a guzzler, thats just bad for you and everything else, get someting classic, at least that way your preserving something cool
But even still, what how much that costs too!
Enjoy your bike, and keep in mind, I'll continue this debate whan you get alittle experience in this matter, and have a better frame of refrence. Till then(and please, I don't mean to offend in all that) your wishfuly thinking about a daydream.

Fender Bender wrote:Anyone seeing the irony in Volkswagon getting involved with something inspired by "war machines"?
Well the Beetle was endorsed by Hitler as the perfect family car.
That in itself makes all of VW's attitude towards TFs funny to me. "we don't want our probucts associated with warring machines" said the pot after it called the kettle black.
-------------------------------------------------
So far this has been a Hitler heavy thread for me. I just wanna go on record as a GERMAN AMERICAN, that I hate that prick

I was making for a jab at the fact that we never got VW to license Alternator Bumblebee.

orry bout masin up yer quote, but, needed room.
Dude, I've been in this before, and I just said AMERICAN cars. Who said I can afford a new car, let alone an Expedition...but especially a sissy truck like an Escalade.Unless you meant the SUV..but it's still sissy.
(No offense to any owners, I just despise them)
I already know my my first car, an '87 Mustang GT.
And, if gas money is such a problem ,I can pay to get it converted. The initial cost is flashy, but long run savings are the goal.
Anyway, there are cars that have wonderful mileage in America, that are American (redundance!)
I'd settle for a Pinto over a civic. <<OH! I disrespected it by not capitalizing it's name. I'm BAD!
I actually find them quite appealing.
Heck, I'd buy a gremlin..but they're cool too...crap.
You get the picture.
And don't start m on Ricers. That's another ardument altogether.
And, thank you for not being a douche.

I'm just gonna agree, American cars do rock, but ford is the bottom feeder, besides they also own Jaguar and Mzda, a British, and Japanesse company, so they are Nazi trators and deserve it.
As for converting a classic, all I can say is live an learn, go have fun
On that note, let me know when you get your Pinto so I can flick a frozen pea at the back of it and watch it explode

It's not the engine, it's the lack of back protection. Like my oven "Ol' Explodiy" Pintos light like matches.
As for not liking Nazi, your right, I hate them. But if you don't know their association to that cause...
Japan and Britan I have no beef with, but one who waves a flag should be abile to see the coinsidence with these nations being brought up in this instance.
I love America, I love the fact that here you either do or die, just don't make the mistake of associating dear nostalgia as a bain for progress.
If foriegn markets want to push the envelope while domestic companies stay still well, either light the fires, or go away!
Especialy with ford, all there stuff is mainly built in Mexico anyway!
