The Stars Of The Biggest Movie Of The Year Face Off On The Track With Legendary Director Michael Bay Driving The Pace Car!
OPTIMUS PRIME vs. MEGATRON
At the NASCAR Banking 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina
In a first-ever stunt for a film property, rising star and 2008 Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman, undercover as OPTIMUS PRIME, the heroic leader of the peace-loving AUTOBOTS, goes head to head with four-time Sprint Cup Series Champion Jeff Gordon, aka MEGATRON, the malevolent leader of the DECEPTICONS.
Ryan Newman’s car, uniform and pit crew will be branded with images of OPTIMUS PRIME, while Jeff Gordon’s car, uniform and crew will sport graphics of MEGATRON. In addition, Michael Bay, the renowned director of the TRANSFORMERS megahits, will be the official pace car driver for the 50th running of the NASCAR Banking 500 only from Bank of America at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen will make its highly-anticipated DVD and Blu-ray debut on October 20, 2009 in immersive, two-disc Special Editions, as well as on a single disc DVD, from DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures in association with Hasbro; distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment.

2. Will Hasbro team up with NASCAR and release some kind of toys (even just a set of RPMs) to match?

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a fiery wreck at some point. I'd also wager there will be pyrotechnics people out at the track too, just for random explosions.
Does anyone like Jeff Gordon? I think Jeff Foxworthy got it right when he said that no one likes Jeff Gordon because "Jeff Gordon enunciates. And there's just no room in NASCAR for that."

LOL. Nope, there are other reasons there is so much hatred for him.
If you watch it you would find out there are quite a few drivers that enunciate when they speak.

I was wondering at the time, with the Daytona 500 not that far away at the time, if it were possible that Transformers were going to do any custom paint jobs on an cars. Well, it turned out not to be the case, but they are doing it now for the DVD release.
When I brought it up, I had a logical connection that I feel they failed to utilize. At the time, I noticed that with Optimus Prime having a blue with red flames paint job, and Jeff Gordon having a blue with red flames paint job, that they'd go together perfectly.
Now they decide to make him Megatron. Which, I guess, would make his special edition paint job stick out more, but still.

Are you being serious or just sarcastic? I'm Colombian like Montoya, so I'm absolutely pulling for him. Third in the Chase baby!
He's a great driver, better than the other Colombian I can remember, Roberto Guerrero. Back in the 80s I think, he was on the pole at the Indy 500, and on the pace lap, he spun out and destroyed the car.
