This news comes from a letter sent out by Toys R Us themselves, stating that the closing of the stores is to help prevent the spread of the virus, and that it is only temporary. At this point in time, they plan to reopen their doors on March 30.
You can read the quoted letter below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. And make sure to social distance yourself and stay safe and stay healthy.
Dear Canadian Parents, Families, Friends and Gift-Givers,
Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to temporarily close our
82 stores until March 30, 2020. This decision is based on prioritizing the well-being of
our customers and team members. Our online stores at toysrus.ca and babiesrus.ca
remain open to serve you. We will also continue to offer our curbside pick-up service
at all locations.
At Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us, we want to partner with you to help your kids achieve
their potential, so they grow up to be good young adults. As we navigate the days and
weeks ahead we will continue to deliver on this commitment to you our loyal
customers. This decision will be reviewed on a daily basis after considering the
recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Stay safe, fellow Canadians.
Sincerely,
Vic Bertrand

In my neck of the woods. Everything is pretty much closed. Malls, Beaches, Cinemas, Bars, Restaurants, Most small businesses. Any grocery stores or retail stores like Target, Wal-Mart, Costco, BJ's are mad houses. I have a household of 6 members, and only 1 goes out for necessities, everyone else is just staying home.

Regarding Canadian sightings, every class size of Earthrise wave 1 was either found at Walmart or toysrus this past month. The latest Cyberverse Energon Armor class toys were also found at toysrus.

Same thing with Quebec.
As if we got our independence without knowing it. :/

Did a little research and apparently other fans on other sites are also having this problem.
Certainly not my browser or account since I used Chrome/Firefox/Microsoft Edge and all the same result.
This sucks

There are a bunch of forwarding services to ship things between canada and the US, you can googke them. Could be worth your time.

Yeah I can't order anything, Transformer or not it just says "0 items" in my cart when I click on add to cart.
Just guess I got to wait or something.
Can anyone else here see if the add to cart button is broken for them as well?
Before anyone asks it does say in stock

At this point it almost as if TrU is trolling.
Siege Jetfire and MPM Jazz are out of stock, obviously.
But then Red Guard is entirely REMOVED from the site.
Hmmmmm…

Any Canadians out there?
.....
Anyway, TrU have MPM Ironhide on sale at only 63$ CAN.
https://www.toysrus.ca/en/Transformers- ... D6A6A.html
However as usual, Quebec get the shaft because we are treated like a filthy foreign country.
At least Amazon have it too for the same price and Quebec is allowed to get it.

Any Canadian who were asleep at the wheel for too long before committing to Siege Omega Supreme, now's your (maybe final) chance. Available online at Walmart.ca for 200$CAN instead of the normal 250$CAN.
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/transforme ... 0200181456
I missed the small TrU preorder window way back then at 160$ and I missed a few 200$ sales. No way am I missing this one, thanks to surprise TPS money from the Federal.

Yeah, I bought it at that 200$ TRU sale last time, didnt want to miss out, its a good toy.
And as for MPM Ironhide... still too much for a toy I know I wont like. I have heard nothing good about that toy.

After watching video reviews of MPM Ironhide, I was almost forcing myself to like the thing.
Not a good sign.
So unless it go on we-don't-want-to-have-the-damn-thing-in-our-inventory-anymore final clearance sale at 30-ish Canadian dollars, I won't be buying.
As for Omega Supreme at Walmart's it's more like a preorder than anything because I still haven't been charged for my order and it's been days already. "Estimated delivery day, May 02" they say. Let's hope it goes well because I have the impression that it's my final chance to have Omega at a "reasonable" price.

You're not the only one. Still, there's enough people who are into the little guys so the line keep going.
Speaking of TrU, I'm glad I finally found ER leader Optimus Prime. I'm surprised to say that he's well worth the full 80$can with taxes.
I'm still using the Club R warranty so that if he get on sale in the next 90 days after purchase, I can get the difference refunded.

That, I know. But the set went down to 75$ often enough. That sale price is still too much for someone like me who already have his fill of seekers.

Guarantee this is not the photo you will see at 90% of the stores in the country. That's not a TRU thing or their fault. TF distribution has been rotten for the past year+ at all outlets.

My local TrU didn't really had that much new stuff. It was a miracle that I got a ER Optimus. There was just one among at least 8 ER Astrotrains. As for Studio Series, they are still stuck at least 3 waves behind Walmart. This is ridiculous.

Not new stuff, just stuff, did your tru have lots of stuff? The discussion here is whether ir not thr shelves are full. TRU has always been behind walmart, thats nothing new.

More or less true. This is what I call a "stealth clearance". And so far, those kind of clearance are independent from each Walmarts. Last time when I bought a bunch of Battlemasters at 1$ each at a Walmart, they were at full price in another Walmart the day after.
So unless it's "official rollback", all clearance sales are independent.

We'll start with those. The Studio series deluxe wave that includes Offroad Bumblebee, Shatter and Roadbuster has been found at brick and mortar retail. They were found at Walmarts across the country with the specific sighting below coming from Montreal, Canada.
The voyager wave with Sentinel Prime has yet to be seen and the previous voyager wave with Mixmaster was never spotted at big box retail (just Amazon and briefly EB Games). So if any of you Canadians spot those voyagers at Walmart or Toysrus, let us know.
There have been many new sightings for Earthrise. All the following come from boards posts on Cybertron.ca.
Skylynx was found in an Ontario EB Games by AgeofTransformers. They also found leader class Doubledealer at Walmart.
Rung and Slitherfang were found in an Ontario Walmart by Transbot90210.
A collectable store found in Ottawa and Montreal called CMD got their shipments for Earthrise Scorponok and Skylynx as well. That was reported by Huasotron 75.

BUT I rarely ever see any Transformers at my local Walmart (or anywhere else) here in Florida. If I really want to get a certain figure I have to order from an online seller. The so called, "Brick and Mortar stores", here have very few TF figures. I wonder if other U.S. States have this issue or if it is just Florida.
Being Canadian, a Canadian sighting doesn't mean much when the damn things never appear in my town. So you're not alone in this.

Of all those sightings, the only one I saw at my Canadian Walmart were the studio series figures which were already released in the US months ago. So we are all in the same boat.
