Looking over lists of AOE toys, I can't see any that make use of any electronic sounds aside from Chomp & Stomp Grimlock.
Posted by Va'al on September 2nd, 2014 @ 12:50pm CDT
Maybe it's a feature of Chomp and Stomp Grimlock, when interacting with the small figures? I can't remember if any review shows if that feature is actually a thing or not.

I never understood these Kre-O things...

Probably for the best as they are quite addicting

These and the 2nd wave before it will be the last of my Kreons if they don't go back to putting IDs on the bind bagged figures. Not wasting money on doubles.

So does that mean I save the monies?
Autobot032 wrote:Transformers Colombia , a Facebook fan page, has provided the first official in and out of package images of the upcoming Age Of Extinction Power Attackers Galvatron, courtesy of group member Felipe León Nájera. What makes this so special is, he's packaged in a box, instead of a card! This is the first time we're seeing figure packaging like this for a recent US Transformers line. Will we see more? Is this the start of a new trend? Only time will tell, and you'll know as soon as we do!

Apparently Galvatron got Chestbuster'd like Scorn...

Optimus Prime meets Optimus Prime in this awesome 2-pack! You can see the evolution of your favorite Autobot from then to now in these 2 Optimus Prime figures. Both your classic and your Age of Extinction Optimus Prime figures convert from robot mode to semi truck mode and back. Can the Decepticons handle not one, but 2 fighting Optimus Primes? Its up to you!
Includes 2 figures.
Optimus Prime figure pack includes 1 classic figure and 1 Age of Extinction figure
Both figures convert from robot mode to vehicle mode
Each figure comes with blaster

Priced at 49.99 CDN$, it appears to come with French included on the box, meaning that its distribution will not be limited to the Anglophone areas! This is a very interesting picture....you can't really tell from my picture, but I'm positive that the Optimus in the Evolution pack I spotted did NOT have the faceplate shown on TRU's Canadian listing. Odd.

I really wish they wouldn't cast those parts in clear. Would've been great to have the option to go either Movie-accurate grey or toy-accurate colors, but translucent looks terrible.
Galvatron reminds me of this guy:
"He's really showing us what a man with a cannon in his chest can do."

Va'al wrote:Another sighting from Bounti76, this time for the Transformers Age of Extinction line: the two-pack Evolution Optimus Prime set! Age of Extinction Generations Voyager Evasion Mode redeco with new head sculpt - photo proof below!
Is that really a new head sculpt? It does not appear to have the faceplate, which was first hinted at with an in hands image of these figures. This pic almost confirms that to me. And that means that the stock pic showing the faceplate is not correct.
Posted by Va'al on September 4th, 2014 @ 11:43am CDT
And Bounti76 has confirmed that it did not have one.

No faceplate, unfortunately. Someone posted a bunch of pix on w2005.
Wish the "Classic" mold was decoed like Henkei, and EMOP like in the 5-pack.
The back of the box looks nice. With illustrations of MP-10 and the new movie body.

I can assure you the news staff member in question has good vision, the pictures were blurry, we have always been told and shown that it should have a faceplate. As the stock photo from the Canadian TRU also claims.
But as I said above, this appears to no longer be the case.

To be fair, we posted that same batch of images too, but I still managed to miss the lack of faceplate. Though I did I call it headsculpt instead.
In any case, I do apologise for the confusion, and encourage any further sightings to be notified in the Sightings section and forums - faceplate notwithstanding.

The set consists of Scorn, Slug, Strafe, Slog (oddly enough) and Grimlock (of course). This deco is as close as possible to the one seen in this summer's film, Age Of Extinction. The figures even include what looks to be a "mossy" paint application, to replicate the look the Dinobots had in the film.
Most of the paint apps consist of the aforementioned mossy look, with a few splashes of color thrown in here and there, with the majority of each figure being covered in a dip of shiny chrome, head to toe.
This is our first look at the figures themselves and in their packaging. A price and release date have not been set yet, but as soon as we find out, you will.

It would be even better if they did leader Grimlock with deluxe Snarl and Slash like this in another set next year. Along with leader Grimlock with deluxe Scorn and Slash in the SDCC "G1" colors. All eight Dinobots in three different color schemes.

I'm not talking about the sighting, I'm talking about the Toysrus.ca listing. Both of those were on the front page.

Slash is exclusived as well, meaning we're stuck with the teal version of him like we're stuck with the lime version of Snarl.ShardFenix wrote:Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed that Snarl wasn't included in this and therefore I guess I'm stuck with a lime-green snarl while the rest all look like this? True, but pesrsonally I thought slash sucked. Not that great looking in either form for me. I guess I would get him if I went with skittles-colored dinobots for completions sake, but Im okay with him being left out here. I just really wanted this style in Snarl. I guess skittles-bots it msut be.

Or perhaps, these are just all the DOTM ones that failed to sell, repackaged, and ditched the mtech weapon...? Maybe hasbro figured it was better to just eat the cost of the mechtech weapons and use this old figure than it was to make 'new' ones.... A sign that even they've given up trying to improve this thing.
They're slight repaints, if you must know. Check the galleries for comparisons.
And "repackagings" is a total misnomer. Despite the name, they're nothing more than new product runs using the exact specifications of an older toy. Hasbro does not do repackaging nor buying back stock: stores sell unsold stock to other stores for cheap.
