eBay.com- eBay seller, joeyyamamoto, has a listing up for the soon to be released Transformers Animated two-pack of Jetstorm and Jetfire.
These images show the packaging in great detail, including the characters' bios.
"Created using the most advanced techniques known to AUTOBOT science, JETSTORM and JETFIRE were cloned from tech recovered from STARSCREAM. Brought online in a secret laboratory deep beneath CYBERTRON, they are the first AUTOBOTS created specifically to battle the DECEPTICONS. Though they are young, they are extremely intelligent, working their way through the Elite Guard Boot Camp in record time. Together they are potentially the most powerful AUTOBOTS of all time, especially when they combine into their SAFEGUARD form."
"Galactic Powers & Abiliites:
>The only AUTOBOTS that can fly.
>Youngest Elite Guard members of all time.
>The first robots with the ability to combine."

That's a good idea. I believe they were called Darkwind and Dreadwing like the alt mode combining G1 counterparts.

I give it a week.
The REAL question is...how long until HASBRO repaints them in Decepticons?

No, he's referring to the guys from G2: Dreadwing and Smokescreen. The ones you named are from G1 (and completely different molds as well).

I only missed one name, but as you can see from the end of my message, I do know he is not talking about the G1 pair. Thanks for the correction.
You are right, they were called Dreadwing and Smokescreen, and reused in BW Neo/2--Starscream and BB, and also re-released as Target exclusives Dreadwing and Smokejumper, I believe.

I believe you mean Dreadwind and Darkwing.

You mean Darkwing and Dreadwind, who combined into Dreadwing. "Darkwind" is a new name born out of necessity as Disney still owns the "Darkwing Duck" trademark. I know, confusing...
And yes, I do see a repaint of Jetfire and Jetstorm as those two next year. Yet again with the clichéd "evil clone" bit.

While I was expecting them to be kinda average, I have to say these guys are pretty cool. Yeah, the hands suck in robot mode, and combined spaceship mode is better just ignored, but the singular spaceship mode isn't as crap as the pictures make it look, and it locks together nicely. The fire/ice bits do come out further to form little wings, but I think they look more sleek if not fully extended.
The singular robot modes look really nice (aside from aforementioned hands) and the headsculpts are full of character The combined bot mode is very nice too.
Quite good articulation in both singular and combined robot modes.
And getting a comic with it is a great bonus.

It is doubtful that most collectors will display the two in Safeguard mode, but they look nice enough seperately.
The bonus comic is very tempting too! IIRC this will show Jazz kicking their afts in cyber ninja training!

Actually it was Dreadwind and Smokejumper. But those two did combine into Dreadwing (which is interesting since it might be the first time that that combined form between those two toy molds had a name. I don't recall the combined form of either Dreadwing & Smokescreen or BB & Starscream ever having a name until the release of the RiD versions.)

No, Cybertron doesn't know about the Dinobots, nor would Sentinel and Ultra Magnus bother to mention them to anyone on Cybertron.

Latest Sighting: New Zealand - Universe Special Edition figures (Optimus Prime, Megatron, Overkill and Dragstrip), Jetfire & Jetstorm entertainment pack and Target-exclusive combiner sets Superion and Bruticus Maximus found at Farmers store in New Zealand.
That's what I found. Oh yea, I will take orders. No profit made on my side. I must get Dragstrip and Overkill first though.
I thought I'd point out, all the Universe Special Editions, the Target-exclusive combiners and Jetfire & Jetstorm actually all look fantastic up close. The only 2 out of the lot I cared for was Drag Strip and Bruticus Maximus. I was so wrong to think the rest looked like crap.

Not the top of my list, but I will likely eventually pick the pair up.

Not bad. The combining gimmick is kind of cool, but it could be better. The actual transformation from single robots into halves of the combined robot is fairly interesting though.
