That's all we'll be getting, no new-mold toys aside from heads.
Besides, it's not the figure, but the history behind the deco, in this case Thrust's prototype colors. But since some couldn't care less I'll just pretend I never said anything.
And guys, "Nacelle" isn't a made-up, feminine name, it's an actual word, like Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. It's the housing for an engine, fuel or equipment, separate from the fuselage.

Fair enough, however my counterpoint is; an all female squadron of seekers would be badass.

Just a quick addition, Dirge isn't a word relating to aircraft like the other coneheads are. Apparently Dirge is an actual word that is a type of sombre song. Despite this, Dirge's name seems to be a really clever pun. Dirigibility is a very obscure word that has a similar meaning to maneuverability, that is the ability to be steered or directed. An example of a word derived from this is a "dirigible", which was the word for airships like the Hindenburg. I've never heard a satisfying explanation for Dirge's name not being like the other coneheads, but I've come to the conclusion that it was just a really obscure pun.
Also nacelle is probably a French word, and if it is it probably has female conjugation. However we don't have that in English so people assuming it's a female name took me by surprise.

I think Serpent.O.R. has been 'preorder-sold out' two or three times already!

Forgot to answer this. If the "Rainmakers" from 2013 are any indication, they're still good to go. Mind you, it's possible the mold has been repaired several times over like Classics Prime.

Surprise! Nacelle uses the BotCon 2007 Thrust wings, not the Gentei/Generations one. You can tell by the two prominent circles on each side:
Left: Generations, Right: BotCon 2007

His name also fits with this group since he, Bitstream, and Hotlink are all named after Seekers from the Exodus novel.

The connection to the fourth Seeker comes from his name and identity only.

i thought the club admitted that they goofed when naming them the rainmakers when they should have called them the welcoming comity? now theyre giving names to the actual welcoming comity? thats confusing.

making it's not the bad part, it's just the whole, "there was a forth one?" part, throws you for a loop provided you don't look through G1 frame by frame.

the thing is (for me anyways) is that theres only three WC members that ive ever seen. so theres the shadow of a fourth... since theres almost nothing to go on, im willing to ignore it. ill still buy nacelle and love it, he just wont be a fourth WC is all.

Hey hey hey! That's good news then Ms. JZGR. I had the one on the left but the connecting peg broke off just by staring at it funny. I had no recourse but to get a loose but very tight Gentei version.

This Nacelle toy is a character whose origins are rooted in three separate sources.Deathscythetransform wrote:aaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnd who is this guy anyways? never heard of him before?
First, his name comes from that of a Seeker who was in the Transformers: Exodus novel, in which he was part of a Seeker group with Bitstream and Hotlink.
Second, his deco is based on a prototype for G1 Thrust that was seen in 1980's Takara catalogs prior to Thrust's release:
Thirdly, his identity comes from the first episode of the G1 cartoon, in which four generic Seekers attacked Wheeljack and Bumblebee en route to Iacon:
One of these Seekers, the golden one, would later be given his own name and identity as Sunstorm years later. And then BotCon 2013 would make a set of exclusives based on three of these four Seekers, in which Sunstorm was included and the other two were given the names "Bitstream" and "Hotlink", named after two of the Seekers from Exodus.
With the fourth Seeker way in the background not yet given a toy, and with two of the three Exodus Seekers given G1 counterparts, the Club saw fit to create a figure that would both complete the Exodus-named Seeker trio and complete the four-Seeker "Welcoming Committee" (as Wheeljack called them). but rather than make just another ordinary-looking Seeker, the Club decided to make this one special by modeling its deco after the very pretty proto-Thrust deco, which happened to have a blue Seeker body like that fourth background Seeker.
And, let's face it, the deco of that fourth Seeker as it was wouldn't have nearly been as pretty. Compare (second one from the left):
But, as for the differences in his appearance as this toy from his brief cartoon appearance, his bio refers to him having undergone some cosmetic changes after the Nemesis left Cybertron.

Nice if you didn't mention it I had no idea there was a forth seeker in the background of that scene, he blended so well with the background.

The bio works well in connecting him to his origins.

LOL, owned as in slaved. The CC exists solely to exploit the most rabid of fanboys. Of course they do not legally own it. It is an exclusive license given to an independent company. Meaning you cannot have one. It is a joke and again, only exists for suckers to give them enormous amounts of cash for nothing but a silly repaint.
R&D LOL.....you are joking, right?
Material costs, .81 cents a POUND for prime, .54 for regrind. This blended piece of shit has about 5 oz of resin in it. Do the math.
Wages? LOL! Are you f'in kidding me? About $2 a day for 1000 units.
Packaging costs..... Have you ever ordered from this club? The plain small white box and bag cost about ten cents. If that.
Transportation? the slow boat from China? Well, we spend about $30K for a ten ton mold, so I would say about $400 for 1000 of them.
Invoices? Invoices are company property. You don't have the right to look at them. But, your friendly neighborhood accountant does. Believe me or not. What do I care? I am not the sucker shelling out $80 for this crap.
