I have RoTF Sparkcrusher as Gutcruncher in my C/G lineup. Had to get a whole five pack for him but he still is nice.

Looks like a Legends G3 Megs to me. Disappointing to say the least. But, it works. I would take it over the Classics style one as it actually is a mini bot like Warpath is supposed to be.

Surely this one will be unscaled slightly to fit in the current size class. If not, they can keep it. No sense in paying $10 for a legends figure you can get at Family Dollar for $5.

Don't you mean "G3" Legends Megatron? The one with Chop Shop:
And he's not upsized at all: That's not what Hasbro does. Ever.

Yes, thanks Goldrabbit! Eyes are getting tired. LONG week.
I wonder, if the rumor is true about Legends Shockwave, if they will reuse this mold again for it?

We really need to just start a thread for this. I really do not want to derail it explaining this and I won't again, out of respect for the other members here.
Do a google search on it, my friend. You will find what you are asking about.

Probably not. There is a chance that Shockwave will be the rumored Bruticus weapon, following the trend of "Combiner + Legends accessory". That calls back the G1 episode "Revenge of Bruticus" in which he "hijacked" Shockwave in gun mode and shot at his forces... only to discard him moments later by putting him in the cannons on his back and blasting him away.

One more trip to TRU or Target and I'll have this whole line already before the 2nd wave hits the shelves. Seriously, I'm bored with Combiner Wars already and sick of the fact that I've already seen EVERYTHING thru the end of 2016. Bandai had better variety than this with the Power Rangers line FFS. That's pretty sad.
And the worst part is, we've already had enough Warpaths in the past few years. I'm looking at my two and even the previous Warpath in the old legend class size range looked better than this thing. Color was a tad off but the styling was decent and he looked a darn sight better in 'bot mode.

LOL...I remember that. I love the G1 cartoon. Only in that series would you see something like that.

Or what? Are you going to send them an email like this one if not?

I'd gladly take your boredom with the line over the utter lack of any real CW stuff to hit my area yet.

In truth, I really do. One, I'll take all my mini-bots as legends now. Frankly I feel, like with Huffer, had we gotten these modes as Huffer and Warpath first, and then Prime/Megatron second, I doubt there would be much talk about them. Yes, I like Deluxe Warpath, love him, but I like the idea of having mini-bots again.

Without running to have a look at the figure I don't it would be hard for someone to create a kit that will swap out the current chest and replace it with one where the gun (or a modified one) can be attached and removed accordingly.

The chest forms the base of the tank turret. It kinda needs to be flat for the shoulders to rest on top of it.Burn wrote:dragons wrote:look better if gun was coming out of his chest without gun popping out of his chest looks another megatron repaint with new head

Drill a hole where the Autobot symbol is, modify the gun so it plugs in ... wouldn't take much modification at all really.

The center of the chest is taken up by the rotating swivel joint that rests flush up against the chestplate piece. Said hole wouldn't be deep enough to adequately grip the gun.Burn wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The chest forms the base of the tank turret. You've taken the figure apart then and know what it's all like inside?

Ah crud, I misremembered and had that setup backwards. The swivel's further back inside his torso rather than in his chestplate. So it might very well be possible for a drilled-in hole to hold the gun.Burn wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The center of the chest is taken up by the rotating swivel joint that rests flush up against the chestplate piece. Those earth magnets don't let go easily.
Either way, it wouldn't take much for a customiser to do this.

You know, weren't we supposed to get a deluxe sized Hardhead somewhere down the line? Whatever happened to that?

We never got the Ratbat from Scourge either (from Hasbro, that is).

But it and the arms are also a separate piece from the main body to enable the turret's rotation. They could have made an entirely new chest and arms for the purpose of making warpath. Think of this: the chest (the part with the cannon) flips down on a hinge (possibly a double hinged piece to allow it to extend further forward, the arms fold up, possibly with the fists hinging down into hollows, the shoulders unplug and rotate up to fill the space the chest was occupying. The leg transformation remains standard, because at that point who the hell cares that it's not a quad tank get over it.
you know, I'm starting to think hasbro doesn't even plan to release the rest of the combiner parts to turn Leader Megatron into Overmegasixwave.

Edit- derp. It's a reveal, not a club exclusive. Haven't had enough coffee yet.

Has Hasbro done that extent of retooling to a Generations Legends mold before? I can't see them doing so now if there hasn't been one to set a precedent.durroth wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The chest forms the base of the tank turret. That's probably for the better. It would be more cruel of them to release the rest of those characters as toys since Leader Megatron wouldn't be able to combine with them.durroth wrote:you know, I'm starting to think hasbro doesn't even plan to release the rest of the combiner parts to turn Leader Megatron into Overmegasixwave.

Burn, don't you or haven't you done some customization in the past? I'm looking at the Megatron version now, and what you're talking about with drilling through the chest does seem like it would be a difficult idea, but I'd be more inclined to listen to someone with some experience in the area than people who just repeat "No" like they're experts. It looks like a Warpath with a chest cannon from this figure would end up parts forming a bit, but from my inexperienced appraisal, it seems like your idea could work.
