durroth wrote:got mine today. only problems so far are the knees being too loose, the legs not pegging into themselves tightly in robot mode (the holes for the pegs are way too big for the pegs), and an instruction sheet that doesn't give you adequate instructions for transforming him properly to beast mode. does anyone have the original dirgegun instructions? I really need a scan of those

It will be easy enough to fix these problems. I am just curious to know if anyone else is having similar issues, or did I just get a dud?

BUT, still glad it's confirmed, because seriously, I need a sports obsessed robo jock in my collection.
Funny how there's been zero fiction about him though from IDW. Is he related to Rewind? Do they even know one another?

Haven't had a chance to transform him yet, but yes to the smaller bug legs being swapped. I've never done any surgery on the Waspinator mold, so I don't know how easy it is to pop them off those rods without breaking anything.dedcat wrote:It will be easy enough to fix these problems. Of course the funny part is, these problems are wholly appropriate for the character. He had to have been reassembled improperly a few times in his career.

My Post Office lady handed me mine as I was leaving thehouse for work. Knew I shoulda clawed for the news credit... Oh well.
Goit mine, My Thrusty seems to be good and tight. Wasp legs backwards, I knew they wee colliding with th wings oddly but I hadn't noiced they were upside down. I have balance issues with mine, but I think that's sim[ply wieght, his knees peg in alright to the shin, although theactual knee peg itself not so much. He feels... rubbery. He's not, by any means, but the plastic reminds me of a wet piece of thick rubber on a hot day. Just interesting to note.
Really like this figure, he by no means fits anything in my collection (everyone in my collection is part of some story, the Universe effect) But I like him and I'll keep him.

Mine had swapped black bug legs but it's fine otherwise. Thankfully that's the easiest fix ever since those aren't screwed or pinned in.
Posted by Counterpunch on July 22nd, 2014 @ 10:25am CDT
But it did have a pin that was no pushed far enough into the body, preventing the gun head mode.
Kind of lame. Their QC really has been lousy lately.

dedcat wrote:Thrustinator is a bit of a QC nightmare. His black bug legs on the forearms are swapped, his gun does not fit in either hand, the alt mode head wont stay pegged together and his knees are the loosest things since loose moved to loose town. I can't get the figure to stand for more than a few seconds.

I had the swapped bug legs on mine too. Also had something wonky with the hip (think there was excess plastic inside) that caused it to break once the screw was in. So I'm getting a replacement figure from FunPub. Hope the new one has proper bug legs. No problems with the gun or head...

As for issues that are fixable with a quick swap (like the black bug legs) thats no big deal. We need to complain about the big stuff and let those easily remedied issues slide... big QC issues, if we like the character choice, mold selection, etc.
Posted by Sabrblade on July 28th, 2014 @ 11:45am CDT
Well, technically, they didn't have to dig too deep on the Headmaster head since it was made available by Takara's Encore Fort Max release from last year. It even has the same "backwards thighs" misassembly the Encore release had (but this is minor since it doesn't affect the transformation or playability).gothsaurus wrote:A lot of these issues are due to the mold being quite old. If we want neat, occasionally vintage molds... this will sometimes come with the territory. And honestly, I DO like them digging deep for some of these... like the G1 headmaster for Botcon. Very cool surprise.

No news yet, tho we do have the details for Subscription Service 3.0:
- G2 Starscream (Classics mold)
- Nacelle (from the Exodus novel. Classics mold with Thrust's wings and regular Seeker head. Deco based on G1 Thrust prototype)
- Zap wit G.B. Blackrock (Gen. Deluxe Bumblebee with deco based on the unreleased Japanese Carzap. Blackrock is a regular Kreon, possibly referencing the Block Town line Carzap was to be part of)
- Krok with Gatoraider (Gen. Deluxe Megatron with a Dai Arms Micron)
- Serpent O.R. (Gen. Scourge with the alternate Ratbat head)
- Tarantulas (RtS Wreck-Gar with Scrap Iron head includes Ida Arms Microns)

The 2015 FREE Transformers Collectors' Club Membership Incentive Figure is... Lio Convoy!
Lio Convoy will feature an ALL-NEW head sculpt! The alt mode is fantastic!
UPDATE
Looks as though the Club isn't done with new reveals! According to their Twitter, not one, but TWO reveals are on the way! The first of two is scheduled to be revealed for next Thursday, 7 August, while the second, which the Club claims will "send shockwaves across fandoms", is scheduled for the Thursday after, 14 August.
Also! Stay tuned for not one, but TWO club exclusives! First reveal next Thursday.
2nd reveal in two weeks and will send shockwaves across fandoms!!!

Also, would have rather had the Dog Rod that they tweeted out first. Would have gone GREAT with Ultra Mammoth.
Posted by gothsaurus on July 31st, 2014 @ 1:09pm CDT
And we still have a couple surprises coming this way... the TFSS freebie and likely a for-purchase store exclusive to pair with this one. A BW Galvatron would be a great pairing.
I'd also love a third jet for the subscription service... SG Dirge would be a third seeker mold for the set, and a nod to the Shattered Glass collectors... or I'd like to see a Redwing as second choice.
But I digress.

I'm more concerned about the figure's size - that Orion Pax mold is far from large...

Who want's to bet we'll see a Predacon mold repainted into Galvatron II?

I actually would not. None of them match his overall profile, plus I think the Voyagers would be too big for the club to consider at this time.
And who says he'll paired with another release? That only happened twice in non-consecutive years. Didn't the club say they'd make one of the Beast Wars: Uprising characters if one got popular enough?

Still thinking Budora looks like the best match, and he is a bit bigger, sadly.
Beast Wars "Uprising" ??? Gotta find out what this is....

I'd much rather see more modern/pre-beast takes of the original Beast Wars crew. I know the ones we've gotten are technically Uprising versions of the characters, but I at least have a connection to them...

It's the home universe of this year's Rampage and Trans-Mutate, and last year's Depth Charge. Several designs were re-used for the characters like:
- Rattrap: Prime Rumble, based his BM form
- Botanica: BH Soundwave, with Laserbeak instead of Ravage (no jokes please)
- Geckobot: BH Wheeljack with Dead End head
- Torca: BotCon 2010 Clench
- Jawbreaker: BH Ratchet
- Dynobot: Gen. Springer
And the GO! Oni were the same size as our Predacons just with new heads

Good enough buds to have the club borrow his ideas? He should be asking for perks!

I, uh... I'm not sure what to think. I mean, this is the perfect opportunity to get the Orion Pax mold since I missed out on the original, but I can't see Lio Convoy out of that. I'll probably still continue my membership, mainly because I enjoy the magazine issues, and Rampage was really cool.
Really hoping they hop off the pre-Beast Era party boat soon... it was a neat idea at the start, but now it's starting to get a little stale.

Uprising =/= "pre-Beast Wars" (especially not with Trans-Mutate).Mindmaster wrote:Really hoping they hop off the pre-Beast Era party boat soon... it was a neat idea at the start, but now it's starting to get a little stale.
