Pete Sinclair has chimed in elsewhere to reassure us that the head does look acceptable:durroth wrote:I think they could have fixed it by molding them backswept along the sides of the head. It would allow the head to be bigger, if not perfectly megs head size, and pretty close to the illustrations in the comic.
Pete@BotCon wrote:Well... Here's the kicker. Due to the design, the head DOES look smaller. If his head extended all the way out, to where the horns on each side reach, then you wouldn't even notice. As it is, the horns really mess with the perspective, and while it is not the most in scale head we have done, it definitely looks fine on my shelf. Does that make sense?
Let me put it this way. I never even opened my P/CP. Rampage sits on my shelf with all the other exclusives in robot mode. So, there ya go...

Have you seen the Prime First Edition Arcee figure? She's roughly tall for a Deluxe. Taller than all other FE Deluxes minus Starscream (and maybe Vehicon, haven't sized her up to that one yet).President-prime wrote:figure is extremely small.

No smaller than the average Generations Deluxe figure (since that is the line that the FE molds were originally designed for).President-prime wrote:That's why I forego most Prime deluxe figures. Just preference. But they are pretty small, nonetheless.
To be fair, the original Transmutate design wasn't exactly awash with color beyond teal and silvery beige.President-prime wrote:I just think a figure at that price should stand out a little more with the coloring. I guess a few stickers should do the trick.
This one pretty much gets that deco down to a tee, and even adds more color to it with its translucent red plastic.

I wasn't a collector yet when that release happened so... I'm guessing Punch/Counterpunch had a particularly horrible head?

President-prime wrote:I agree. But if you look at the FE Arcee figure, the details are accentuated. The smaller lines and the details are very clear. The color on the Transmutate seems to blend together covering much of the details. It's probably just me.
If I understand what President-prime is saying, he's just stating that the figure is small for the $60 price tag. Exclusives aside, I agree. This figure and it's price aren't for everyone out there. Sabreblade, did you purchase the figure yet?
Posted by Sabrblade on May 24th, 2014 @ 6:25am CDT
Okay, that I can agree with. $60 for a Deluxe is too much in a general sense, but it's fairly standard practice for a TCC figure so I'm used to it.Seibertron wrote:If I understand what President-prime is saying, he's just stating that the figure is small for the $60 price tag. But it sounded like to me he was only against this figure because of it being a Prime mold and because of its fairly simplistic deco (which was what the original Transmutate design had, so this figure evoking that can't be faulted for that).
Yeah, I placed an order for it (my wallet's still screaming in pain since I had to make a few other payments alongside it).

I actually asked them the same question on Facebook. They told me he's named so due to trademark reasons.

He was a Maximal experiment, that's it. His bio card says "Cybertron Protoform X" with his unique faction symbol.
And by the by guys, the first two Subscription figures are on their way:
Transformers Collectors' Club wrote:The container was off loaded yesterday. We are preparing to make the first shipment to you next week and then, due to the BotCon schedule, the second shipment will occur before BotCon. So, your first two figures will come relatively close together.
For those of you on the installment pay plan, we will be billing you the 2nd installment on July 2nd and the final installment on August 26th. Please make a note of those dates so that you can ensure there is enough money/credit in your account. Remember, we will attempt the billing 3X and after the third attempt, the remainder of your subscription will be cancelled and there is no way to reinstate it. Each time we rebill the admin fee is additive.
Your bonus figure will ship with the final shipment in October and only those who complete the full subscription will receive the free bonus figure.
In addition, we would like for all of you to log-in and check/correct your address and while you are there, check your cc information to make sure that it is still valid. Address changes must be made in the system by midnight Monday, May 26th, so that we can prepare the shipping documents that Tuesday morning. Click here to log-in to check your information. Do not log into the club store and make any address changes for this system. The two software systems are independent for shipping addresses. All FSS address changes must be made in the FSS system. All store order address changes must be made in the store system.
Please note that this went to every invoice in the FSS 2.0 system, even if your order did not go through or you cancelled it. We don't have a way to separate the different emails so this was sent to everyone. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Thanks for your support and patience!

Take notice of Optimus Primal's line of, "It was originally an attempt to replicate Starscream's mutant indestructible spark with a Maximal."
Though this toy represents a different universe version of him, the experiment that birthed him was seemingly kept the same.

Huh, so it's alright that he's labeled a Maximal.
He's still going to be a Predacon to me, though. It helps that he lacks a Macimal faction symbol, too. Though now I need to invest on getting Predacon faction symbol stickers.

Punch used the reversible nature of the Sideswipe/Sunstreaker mold. His head was doubesided with a rocking helmet that covered the unused head. Unfortuntely, for everything to clear the vehicle mode, it was narrow and short... IE, tiny. Biggest r than the scout class, but substanitilly smaller than normal.durroth wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Pete Sinclair has chimed in elsewhere to reassure us that the head does look acceptable:Pete@BotCon wrote:Well... What's cool is that he got his own unique X insignia on his bio card:Mindmaster wrote:He's still going to be a Predacon to me, though. It helps that he lacks a Macimal faction symbol, too. Though now I need to invest on getting Predacon faction symbol stickers.
though, he got an even cooler one in his bio in one of this year's magazines, issue #55. Shame they didn't put that one on his card.
Though, speaking of magazines and Rampage, here's some nightmare fuel for ya, kids.

Also, as a reminder, this year's freebie incentive figure Protoform X/Rampage, who is designed to be paired with Transmutate (there's even a spot in the box with Rampage's name on it!), is expected to arrive sometime this week or next week as well. Make sure to check your mailboxes for the next few days!

Question on the TFSS 2.0 figures:
My Club membership expires in July, and I assume most of the TFSS figures are going to ship after that. Do I have to renew my membership to receive the remaining figures, or, since I paid for the subscription service in full and upfront, am I safe?

I'm thinking as long as you've paid in full for TFSS 2.0, you're safe. Again, don't take that as something set in stone, just an assumption.

Yea - I'll probably reach out to the Club about it. I remember there being a brouhaha over needing a current membership for some folks during the TFSS 1.0 run. Guess we'll see.

"Cruel? Justice is always cruel."
Barricade is devoted to his desire to see justice rendered. Unfortunately for the suspects he arrests, that justice is Decepticon justice. He is swift, cruel, and most times ignorant of the facts. Like a hunter studying his prey, Barricade stalks the streets of Cybertron looking for any individual who may be working against the great Decepticon ambition. Anyone acting suspicious is quickly detained and rarely seen again.
Over his career, Barricade had a number of partners: Howlback, Garboil, Nightstalker. Eventually each one requested to be transferred to another officer or precinct, but he ultimately gained a true partner in Frenzy. Frenzy excels at interrogation, although not at all useful in the roles of collecting evidence or tracking persons of interest. He also shows a complete lack of familiarity with Decepticon law. His zeal for inflicting pain until a suspect talks borders on the maniacal, but is crucial to Barricade's perfect case closure rate.

That sounds like a pretty rational theory. I also like the mention of Howlback and Garboil. Love to see e-Hobby characters (and fembots, in Howlback's case) get some love.
