New Character

Gnaw makes his way through the Space Bridge in this weekend’s event for both Autobots and Decepticons. This Sharkticon is loyal to whoever feeds him!

Gnaw
While normally a feral Sharkticon is no one's ally, Gnaw is the exception - loyal to whomever last fed him.

As insatiable in appetite as he is savage in combat, Gnaw is one of those walking engines of destruction you just wind up and let go.

Trouble is, if the opposition has some energon snacks handy, Gnaw will think nothing of biting the (original) hand that feeds.

I know how long it takes. The email was out a half hour before I posted the event details.

I know D-Max had stuff going on. And I thank him for getting to it as soon as he could.

Just had to go elsewhere for the news.

If you're actually complaining about the response time of the news crew, taking into account that everyone has their own lives and most would have just assumed I would pick it up as I have been doing weekly (it arrived after I'd gone to bed so I couldn't ask anyone else to do it), then by all means, file a complaint directly with Va'al, the News Admin.

If there are any rogue Decepticon players reading this who aren't already in our alliance, listen up!
The Seibertron Decepticon alliance is recruiting good players! If you are able to score at least 3000 points per weekend event and have HQ 11 or higher with the ability to participate in daily wars (when there's no events), please join Seibertron in the game! If you are HQ 10 or under, you are invited to join our feeder alliance, Seibertron II. Good candidates in II can move up to main when they are ready. We are currently fighting between gold and silver leagues, trying to get steady in gold and maybe even beyond! You can help us. If you meet our basic requirements and don't smell, then apply today!

I might be interested, King. I've got a level 13 base, 3159 battle points, and 8 3 star Decepticons. I'm number 2 in my alliance, United Predacons, and looking to move to an alliance that is able to win more often in wars / events so I can get sparks & better rank goodies from events. Hit me up in game, I go by Pepsimus there as well.

Fun fact concerning you seeing Vortex talk about costumes Kurona: I am looking for another Alpha Bravo (he is so expensive right now) cause I have 2 red Decepticon symbols from that Botcon Magnaboss sticker sheet I got, and I could use those to turn Alpha Bravo into Shattered Glass Vortex. I really want to do it, just gotta find one. :SG-CONS:

All my Base Defence defeats in the past week have been from teams of 4- and 3-star bots.
There's at least a single 4-star on every team, and I counted a total of two teams with 2-stars - in both cases there was only a single 2-star on their team, and in one of them it was Optimus so it might as well have been a 3-star.
My latest defeat looked like this.

I don't know whether to feel demoralised that this is what attacks me, or to feel motivated that apparently this is all that defeats me.
... I'll go with Option C: "There are 4-star Strafes out there that is goddamn terrifying"

I'm really liking them. They're so cute.

Also, I caved and finally bought 2,300 Cyber Coins so I now have that 5th Build Bot. Also bought one of those Soundwave crystals... got a duplicate 2-star Long Haul. Not a very happy Kuro.

I'm gonna level with you, you probably should have waited around for the dedicated Build Bot Bundle. it's $10 for a build bot and 1000 coins. What's done is done, now, and you're maxed now, but for potential future reference/the benefit of others....

I believe you answered your question. :P

D-Max (or anybody else), if you're ever curious about a character's identity and other stats you can check the wiki. I also have a handy spreadsheet listing all the characters at all star levels that anyone can (and is encouraged) to use to chart their own acquisitions. I even keep other data on my own tab, and you can do likewise. I just ask that you make a new tab for yourself. I keep it updated with new characters.

Incidentally, if anybody knows a way to share the data across tabs automatically (so that changes on the master are reflected on the others) that would be appreciated. It would make the addition of new characters much easier. I tried one method but neither absolute nor relative references were amenable to changes in the grid.

Dizzy just passed the 7k mark for bps!

Screenshot_20161029-190758.png

Galaxy is working his way to 6k, and I am plugging away at just over 5200. Kurth, Remeo, and Mooch are all up in the top 20.

Good work guys!

As I understand it, only Kurona has made the 3k requirement in Seibertron Decepticon Main so far. D-Max has technically, between his points in II and his points in main. Good job you two!

II has a number of people surpassed their required bps. Way to go!

The rest...

Bludgeon is not smiling.

I've already asked Kuuga to kick down to II anyone under 1600 points.

As JakePrime, I opened the TF:EW app just now early Sunday morning to get to work on upping my score and found out that I was kicked out. Sure I probably wouldn't have been able to reach the minimum score, what is it 3500 now? But I would have done my best. Things to keep in mind for future players, when events are also on a holiday weekend such as Halloween, it is hard to play to that minimum. Especially when you have children because we are spending time with them and not with our faces buried in a tiny screen. Then there is the fact that I just got a new device after having been without one for nearly two weeks. Lots of factors added up to me not making the minimum score, but I've been an active player in this Alliance since the beginning until recent misfortune. I will not be joining Seibertron II. It's been fun while it lasted but I'll look elsewhere now.

Hey, Jake...

While I certainly can appreciate what you're saying as I have kids, and I also work on weekends (Friday and Saturday nights), one very essential thing that we have always said was to PLEASE keep us informed of any possibilities that you may not be able to participate.

This has been one of our rules since I took over as officer, in fact I believe it was even when "He Who Shall Not Be Named" was officer, I remember the fuss..

We are not able to know what you have going on in your life until you let us know.

That having been said....

The rules for minimum bps were set and discussed in Line as well as in game chat many, many times. You have Line.
3500 is not unreasonable. I had to get 8000 this weekend, count yourself lucky.

I believe Kuuga also put it in the MOTD Friday.

Yes you had phone issues.... 3 weeks ago, and you told us in in game chat that was resolved, so that has no bearing on the current situation. Please don't use that as an excuse to make me look bad.

Halloween comes every year on October 31st, so you knew you would be busy, you could have sent me a quick PM (the forums work on desktops as well as phones and tablets) to let me know that you had things planned.

Honestly, I'm sorry you are taking this so harshly. We offered you a place in Seibertron's other alliance, we didn't "Kick" you so much as asked you to go to the place where being more casual was better. You had 773 points when they last got me screens on the alliance, and I had already given the order kick to II those below 1600. But you had said nothing to us about not being able to make the minimum.

II is not a prison sentence, but we have said over, over, over, over, over, and over again that we must have full participation in events and wars or notice that you can not participate. Maybe finding an alliance with a more casual style would suit you play better. Seibertron can not stay in the 600's in alliance rankings anymore, so we need people who can put more into the game, and I am not even asking for that much.

Don't blame Seibertron, though, Jake... blame me. I'm the bitch here. We are not a casual alliance, we can't play like one any more, so I am having to make the tough decisions.

Seibertron posters are alway given priority over others. It is my belief that forum members deserve it. But when we don't hear anything from you... yes I understand that you had phone problems we waited that one out... we didn't kick you. We had some wars that we did not see you score in with no explanation, and you did not let us know that you would not be able to meet the minimum bps this weekend. So we asked you to go to our other alliance.

The kick message also said that it was just for the remainder of the event... not forever. So I am seriously not sure how much nicer we could have been about this. Any other alliance would have just kicked you completely. All you had to do was let us know that you were busy and not able to make the requirement... we would have asked you to go to II when the event started. Everyone else was happy to do so.

This weekend, a few of our members went to up AOE Defiance as part of a deal we made with them. The idea being that top-scoring members would go up to fill in their missing spots (they only have a few), earn the top prize (like a 3-star character in most leaderboard events), bring it back down, and use that to help us do better in wars and events. We intend to rotate out the members who go up during each event so that more players who could benefit from stronger units can get them, rather than the same 4 or 5 members always getting them, as happens in most top alliances. The goal here, in the long run, is to help our alliance members do better, which helps our alliance do better, which puts us in a better standing on the game leaderboard and makes us more attractive to strong players. The catch is that AOE Defiance has much higher BP requirements than us, at around 10k per event. Some slack is given to visiting Seibertron members, but they still have to pull their weight. As of right now with less than 2 hours left in the event, only 11 members of the Seibertron alliance have met or exceeded our 3500 BP requirement and we're fighting to stay above last place by recruiting random people from general chat, while our visiting members have topped AOE's leaderboard and helped them get to around 200th place. You could say that if our visiting members had stayed then we would be in a better situation, but if everybody who was still in main had met the minimum then we would also be in a better situation. I did the math, and if our five members who scored above 1000 but less than 3500 whom I allowed to stay in after the purge yesterday had met the minimum, we would be over 100 places higher on the leaderboard and not fighting for a last-place finish. That is why we have mandatory minimums. If you don't think you'll be able to meet the requirements, please let us know ahead of time. We appreciate the information and will not kick you. You can contact me, CtrlFrequency, or Bdizz on the forums, on line, or in-game private message to let us know your situation so we can make accommodations. We all want to make the Seibertron Decepticon Alliance one that can compete in events, but it takes everybody's contribution. Again, if you are able to meet AOE Defiance's bare minimum 5k, you may be considered for moving up during the next leaderboard event and coming back with a shiny 3-star bot. Let's all work hard!

We finished in 861st place. One spot outside of last place for the event, and secured ZERO Gnaw crystals as a result. This is the first time Seibertron has ever failed to get the new character, and I am disappointed in all of you who failed to meet our minimum requirement without adequate notice.

I'm sure some of you would like to say that if I hadn't kicked the undercontributors on Saturday night, then we would have scored enough points. With only 69 points separating us from the last place team, basically 2 more fights would have kept us in the running, and yes, just about anyone could have done that. However, as I said, if all our members had at least scored the minimum, we would be higher on the leaderboard and not having to stress over being in last place at all. Maybe this dose of reality will make everybody realize why we've been pushing you all with minimums and inspections. Happy Halloween, we have much to discuss for next time.

Well, as Kuuga said, we had an opportunity this weekend that we couldn't pass up.

I want to publicly thank AOE Defiance for having us. We couldn't have asked for a better host for the weekend, they truly are some of the best people we have had the pleasure of working with.

We ended up sending 7 Seibertronians to them, all of them scoring above the minimum required. 4 of of us were in the top 10 all/most of the weekend. The rest in the top 25. Dizz having taken and held on to, and ended in the #1 spot. Good job Dizzy! A few of us even outscored Defiance's minimum requirement (Seibertron had 2000 points less for our requirement).

At the end of the event, Defiance ranked 173, which was well above goal. Throp was aiming for 268. We ended up with 14 crystals (of which I got 14 2 stars) and I hear that Kurthy got a 4 star Gnaw! WOoohoo!

Thank you again Defiance!!!! :x

Seibertron alliance... we need to talk... and you won't like it.

Top 10 Dizzy, me, Galaxy, and Mooch!

If anyone cares, there's an update out. At this stage it's just the new Combiner related load screens. On team selection it says something about combiner inactive, other than that, no enigma of combination.

I'm kind of really upset about how they handled this event. Both Space Ape and the alliance itself. I only started playing a few weeks ago but have they done a "leaderboard-only character" event before? Cause it's nonsense and punished not only us, but any smaller alliance out there too. It should've been the top 2000 get at least 1 crystal OR your first completion of the rewards gets you a crystal. I'm also upset about how boot happy the admin (That Bot I think) got with low scorers. It's one thing to kick people that haven't done anything, but those low scores could've gotten us the points for one crystal if they hadn't been kicked. What happened to the old policy where people from II were supposed to move up for the even for the rewards? I can see wanting to get the top performers in before anyone else but those little guys do help for events, and it doesn't hurt the war rankings (assuming no one decides to launch one) and it helps more people out.

Nope, this is the first time - an experiment I hope they see fit to never carry out again. While I didn't like the old system it was far, far better.

Probably less than 1 in 100. Pretty lame.

Yea the old system is much better. Folks in my alliance are super miffed. We have a good deal of spenders and very few got anything of worth. At least before, you fought for a guarantee. Here, there's just a small chance you'll get something decent.

I'm sure it's reaction to the rather elitist way 4 star event characters are handed out.

Mind you I am not knocking the way they do it or those that get them, but there is only so many who can get them. Which is the point of the game... but people in general are whiny and entitled. And forced them to even the playing field a bit. Big alliances... welcome to our world. It sucks. Just buck up and take it kick on the butt. There will always be more money to he had with the old system, I'm sure they'll go back (when the entitled people whine they only got a 2 star Gnaw)

I am perfectly fine with whatever system they use. I ended up with 14 2 star Gnaws, so I got a decent bit of spark which is what I need anyway. I am no worse off than I was in any other leader board event. I just have a pet to throw at level 11 bases in war.

Theres only one person in my alliance that got a 4* so far. 1 out of 30 crystals out of 40 players. hahahah
I'm sure not everyone has opened used their crystals yet but these odds don't look good.

Well, yes, it's elitist. All f2p / p2w games are elitist - Space Ape purposely designed it to be that way, so you can't blame the folks who pay to win and are frustrated about paying, but not winning. You know? >:oP

I didn't spend anything on this event, so it's ironic I got a 4*. But it seems the audience for this game was always a bit smaller than Space Ape wanted, and now some older players are burning out. I'm sure this was an experiment to see how SA could entice newer or f2p players into a p2w model.

I have no problem with it being elitist. I Have no problem with people who pay getting these top prizes. Especially with the amounts i'm sure some people pay.

However, my point was, there are plenty of people out there that do whine they deserve everything without paying a dime or having to work for it. I am not one of those people. I buy things in game occasionally, mainly crystals, I understand that unless I am in a top alliance I won't get those 4 star event crystals. I just can't get upset that you do get them. It would be nice if the premium crystalso held a better chance of spitting out a 4 star though :/

Just those of you from top alliances got the experience that sucks. Sorry :-(

I just need to point out that those who did spend a lot of money and are mad they didn't get a 4 star Gnaw need to remember you paid for a CHANCE to get the character.

Protest away about the event. I hated the format, that I won't complain about. Protest louder than the Facebook whiners that got us the event we had last weekend, though (they are a loud bunch)

The best we did was one 3*. Everyone else got 2*

Out of my 40 crystals, I got 39 2* and one 3*. I thought I was really unlucky until I heard about all the people that had worse pulls than me. Hopefully they don't do this type of event again, but they probably made a boatload off the increased competition and will end up doing it again. And now they are sitting back laughing their butts off at the terrible droprates and ensuing salt storm.
