While this doesn't come as much of a surprise, given that Pulse delayed their orders for Turtler and Gulf, it is disappointing for those who preordered these figures and now have to wait an additional month, as these figures were expected at the end of February. While it's currently unknown if the final figures for the King Poseidon/Piranacon combiner, Tentakil and Overbite, will also be delayed, at this point, it seems inevitable. We'll keep you informed as soon as we know.

I'm glad I did too, but for a different set of reasons.
A) they will all ship together for me
B) If I had gone Pulse, I would have had to frantically keep an eye on the shipping (which they are bad for sending notifications btw) because all of these new dates are right around when I am moving, and that would be chaos

Pulse is free shipping. They add the shipping cost and then discount the shipping cost for it making it free. There’s no requirement amount either like tfsource. You buy a $20 figure and say shipping is $10 you’re total is $30 but then they give $10 discount making your total $20

Totally get where you are coming from, i just had other things on my stack that hit the free shipping premise so i figured get them now, the others will wait till they are all in with a Nicee companion

Since I knew the move was coming, I have a very large stack right now, it hit free shipping back in November (started accruing in September). I swear, when King Poseidon comes, he and the rest will be in a box that could fit a chair

Yup. Different site, different group of people. It's a good way to reach like-minded customers and get their feedback. Who knows, maybe someone actually knows the answer.

That's how it works if you're a premium member (if you placed an order on Pulse during February 2019 you got free premium for a year), but for regular buyers the shipping is only free on orders over $50.

Just a guess, but seeing as how all of the ones showing up at TFSource and the likes are coming from China it seems likely that Hasbro is getting theirs directly from Takara Tomy Mall since they followed the same pre-order restrictions. That would mean the delays are likely on Takara Tomy's end after they've handled their own distribution and then sent them on a slow boat to the USA.

Super Megatron for the win! You know, since his silhouette shows the TR Galvatron mold, I wonder if he'll keep the already Megatron-esque Titan Master

And according to one person on TFW2005 who went to it and talked to the booth rep, that Armada Prime prototype was just to gauge interest, and it hasn't been decided which line it would be in if released. But, supposedly it hasn't been confirmed cancelled. Hopefully we'll see it at the next convention Takara goes to, and hopefully it stays in the Generations SELECTS line because then it might somewhat reasonably priced
Well, if it was done solely by TT, it won't be cheap, because it won't have hasbro budget support/constraints; I'm hoping for under $100

That's exactly what I was meaning. Based on Star Convoy's price it might be $100, assuming it's not an MP. If it's MP styled, then I expect it'd be more like MP-44 priced unfortunately

Star Convoy was exactly the same price as the MSRP for Siege Leaders in Japan so it really doesn't matter if Hasbro helped support the figure or not, it was never going to cost less than that. Armada Convoy is a different story. From what we can tell of our first look he's going to be a 100% new mold which as a potential Selects figure would make him a bigger gamble than Star Convoy and the Seacons which share parts and engineering with other figures. I doubt they'd be able to sell him as a Leader, he might qualify as a Commander if he's complicated enough, or he could just be unclassed like a lot of Takara Tomy original figures are.

I thought there was a rumor that it was going to be some sort of remold of POTP Rodimus Prime. New cab robot with a heavily redone trailer.

That was more educated guess than rumor. It would need even more extensive retooling than Star Convoy had since the entire core bot is new and much of the top of the trailer would be missing since they formed Rodimus' arms and would be redundant. By the time they remove the unnecessary parts and obvious Rodimus parts there really isn't much left to work with.

He's got a point, all they need is a pair of big legs, it would leave room for the base mode, something equally memorable and distinctive about the figure that has to be accounted for

Note that this delay only affects Hasbro Pulse preorders. Those who ordered previous Seacons from other sources have seen their figures ship on time. Beyond the notice of delay, Pulse has given no indication of what caused the delays for their orders.

I, obviously, can't speak in definitive terms... But given that they (almost definitely) have the first two in hand, I think these delays were intentional so that the whole combiner could be finished in the span of about of a month.
I know it makes me sound like an apologist, and that theory doesn't hold water when considering Star Convoy, though.
Either way, I don't mind the delay. It just means that my Seacons stand alone for a shorter amount of time.

Incidentally I just noticed Star Convoy is in stock on Pulse so I guess they're stocking extras after all unless they had a lot of cancellations.

You're overthinking it a bit since they've also been delaying MPs, basically everything they've been getting from Takara Tomy. Besides, the designers might consider such a thing when planning waves, but there's no reason for Pulse to care.

Preparing a slot for Super Megatron?
Maybe, depends on how long ago Hasbro made the numbers. Turtler and Super Megatron were teased at the same time. That does align with my theory that Super Megatron was delayed because they scrapped their original plans to use TR Galvatron in favor of the rumored Earthrise version. The other problem is that as 05 it would have been right in the middle of Seacon wave 2 which is strange unless they originally intended to do two waves of 3 instead of 3 waves of 2.

A week after the delay announcements of Snaptrap and Skalor, both figures showed up on TFSource. All 4 remaining figures are claiming February release dates on TFSource. Will this still be the case, or is it more likely that the TFSource customers will get Nautilator and Seawing this month and then will get Tentakill and Overbite in March?
The delay on Pulse has nothing to do with release schedules elsewhere. But TFSource is making an error if they're saying Overbite and Tentakill are coming in February, they've always been scheduled for March.

I put out a tweet about that a while back. My assumption was always the Armada Optimus.
I hope they still give the 05 designation to somebody... I'm a serial completionist, and not having an 05 at all would really cause some sleepless nights.

Unfortunately the word at Wonder Festival a little over a week ago was that Armada Convoy wasn't an actual product, just a proof of concept. Supposedly if there's enough fan interest he can still happen, but he doesn't seem to be a top priority right now and they definitely weren't reserving a number for him.

I have been wondering about that. Could TT-GS05 be the Siege Nemesis Prime?
