Being as the awards are not about an art contest but regarding best CGI and special effects then those comments are not really relevant and to say there is no art involved is equally as narrow minded as that's how they are made to begin with...designed characters sketched on a sheet of paper then turned into CGI effects, it's on the extra material of the two disk versions of the movie as to how they were made and an abundant amount of material online before it came out.

forgive, forvive. it was a general comment and nothing to do with the CGI awards. lets just say that both of us are grateful to reside in a country where you can say what you want without fear of a head being literally cut from body, life is good. the art is still severly lacking though on paper or CGI, the heads are ugly........in my opinion........ god I hate those opinions. i feel that simpler G1 and animated heads trounce the movie from massive heights.
then again as you separate art from CGI in your comment i dont suppose it matters as we are dealing with 2 different issues, athough im not sure then what defines 'best special effects' or ' best cgi' if its not about art????????
asides, i enjoyed the move and the effects, they are very good, i simply dont like the design on the faces, i think they are ugly. its akin to a photograph of a really ugly person, its a perfect likeness of them but I still find its an ugly image to behold, end of story (although the photo could be art and in context very beautiful, damn this is very difficult).

*puts guillotine away* Kidding!
No need for forgiveness, I was too harsh!
Sorry, I was too cranky in my response as I've been infected with "cosmic rust" or rather some nasty flu and have been home sick for the last couple of days.
damn this is very difficult).
It's not easy to live in a world where as it appears you grew up on G1 just like I did and like the movie at the same time, it was not perfect of course but at least a good start and hopefully the sequels will learn from mistakes made in the first movie and get better. No matter what I plan to be there for the sequels and I won't let hype or hate deter or ruin my movie going experience. I did not like every G1 character either but the vast majority of them of course and I'm at least level headed enough to realize that a few dislikes are not enough to say F this and give up, you seem to be the same way too now that I've read your second post.

galvatron. forvigeness aside then as a teenager when G1 came out the thing that attracted me to TF toys were those tiny, chiseled faces with that blend of android/human/determination and sort of passive wisdom, almost a 'classical' face if you will. Thats partly why i dont like the movie faces, they simply lack what i like in TF, its not nostalgia as i actively sought these out, its not like I was a 5 year old being given them as gifts. Aside from that i just dont like the faces anyway even if they wernt on TF toys, i feel tehres more fun in the ben 10 look than the movie TF toys (as i move along the topic).
I pride myself on liking toys for their own merits be they from teh movie, anaimted, BW or G1. One of my favourite toys right now:Target repaint movie jazz (my only movie toy), hes stood right next to another favourite, original BW cheetor(one of two BW i liked enough to buy), anyway i digress.....have fun and get better, that recent flu is nasty.
