If you spend enough time on the boards, sooner or later a discussion about scale is bound to erupt.
Titan Returns is just around the corner and there has been much debate about the size classes used. Instead of talking about scale, show us your ideal group/team/pair of "scaled" figures. Feel free to mix-and-match as many different lines and size classes as needed.

Scale in Transformers!
Scale in Transformers...
I'm a huge scale nut, particularly with real-world vehicle sizes, so forgive me for gushing a bit a lot:

here are a few, of something a little different that I took a couple years ago.
the same battle looking from the other direction, a look at the rest of the combiner that's part way though assembling.
another angle on the battlefield:

I frickin' love that Leader Starscream. I neeeed it.
And yeah Deluxe Optimus Prime isn't much smaller in robot mode than Voyager Megatron there. His truck mode even looks bigger scale.
I'm a bit of a stickler for scale too but I guess it's really just one of those things you have to accept being almost impossible to achieve to any great success in Transformers.

I even try to put combiners together like this - my CW Superion towers over my custom PCC Menasor. But then you get combiners with limbs that aren't in scale with each other and it's a real headache... I can kind of accept FP Bruticus if Blastoff is a drone plane and Swindle is a super-sized Hummer, but I can't find any version of Defensor that makes sense!

I like the way leader class TCracker looks with MP Starscream. He is a little bit bigger and of a different sculpt. To me Starscream's cronies are just big violent thugs that he keeps around so he doesn't have to do any of the fighting himself.

They do look good together! Especially with that RTS Megatroncarytheone wrote:Hey, they've grown!

Using Legends movie Ravage as main movie Ravage over the oversized Deluxe version. Deluxe DotM Bumblebee demonstrates. (works for Legends movie Scorponok too but I've never managed to get me one). The soldiers that came with the other Legends Ravage are nicely scaled for most Transformers too.
My OCD is annoyed by the fact that Bumblebee's chest pieces got misaligned when I put Ravage there. They need to be SYMMETRICAAAALLL!
edit: would help if I actually posted the pic. hehe

Definitely like the movie proper scaled item photos, it was all over the map in the toys but pretty set in stone in the actual films.

Yup, he has it all, I took some more pics of mine which can be found here: pictures-of-voyager-age-of-extinction-lockdown-with-alternate-head-t105477.php#p1731441
While KO may be a negative term, it doesnt always equate cheapness. Toys are cheaper simply because the design was stolen and your just paying for the manufacturing aspect. The material on some KOs is as high quality as regular toys. In the case of that lockdown, he even comes with die cast

I'm hoping my OS MP Grimlock ends up being good quality, whenever he arrives (lost in shipping currently ). I wish that 3rd Party MP Jazz would get here..
Do you happen to have a Decepticon shot?

No Decepticon shot unfortunately. I don't have any of the jets, and my Shockwave is back in Japan. Also, Takara hasn't given us Megatron yet. I wonder if it's because he's complicated; or if they think that some fans will stop buying once they finally get Megatron.
Posted by galvatron00 on May 3rd, 2016 @ 1:10pm CDT
Ah the seekers. And the lack of an official Megatron in the right scale. I'm pretty happy with my set of G1 S1 'Cons, still need a Kickback representative as well as a better Reflector. And then I'm done with themCyberpath wrote:No Decepticon shot unfortunately. I don't have any of the jets, and my Shockwave is back in Japan. Also, Takara hasn't given us Megatron yet. So yeah, if Takara does a new Megatron? I'd be close to finished with that set, still need my TF:TM MPs though.

Thanks. I only have a few scale complaints with my figures. Main one is no voyager seekers, I love my FoC Seekers but wish they were bigger.

Thats a 3p grimlock right? Also, does this mean you use the Prime version of Optimus as your classics Optimus? Do you think it works better than the Classics Optimus prime?

I realized that there are lots of good scales where Shockwave and Megatron can interact. And sadly, the MP isnt one of them, you'll see:
MP Shockwave instead seems to work better with CW Leader Megatron:
And here are other decent scales, that deluxe one is perfect. Its almost good that deluxes shrunk within 2 years time:
And here is a pretty decent MP scale, using only 2 actual MP bots:
And lastly, I just had some fun with the different seekers. There are so many molds that ll seekers can have their own individual body. I would prefer them to all be the same though, but I was just having fun with the deluxe scale and trying things out:

carytheone wrote:I love that you're using the deluxe Warpath as a MP minibot, great idea!

Yeah, it really worked out, I was glad to think of it. I am doing another display where my deluxes are the characters usually represnted by voyagers and it just dawned on me that I could just use legends Groove to represent the bots that would usually get a deluxe scale instead. I hope to do those pics tomorrow.
Prime TC aint an easy find. I mean, e-bay will have him, but they will charge you an arm and a leg. Here is he only one at a fair price: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sale_en/?page_i ... 1000016823
But the shipping might not be cheap so there is this too: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?siteid=0&pub=5574891718&campid=5336631220&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%2Fitm%2FTakara-Tomy-TRAN%20...%20xy3zNSpZbw%3C%2Fa%3E%3F
The reason he aint cheap is because he was only available exclusively in these camera stores in japan. He wasnt available at the usual toys stores. Dont know if it was the same with Skywarp. What is cool though is that these are retooled. I dont know if you can tell but he has these bombs under his wings. These give him 5 mm pegs in jet mode to hols his arms micron (which is a goat that turns into a drill). Dont know if the commander at Botcon had some around

Thanks! And I like your scale. I also believe that deluxe prime works best with the scramble city CW toys combined. I am working on a battle scene with that in mind. I am just not sure where the deluxe seekers go. They look a bit small with devastator but a bit too big CW Superion. I am photographing both options right now.
