Unless the come up with a Weaponizer Megatron, it's a pass for me. Those shoulders don't do him justice for me.

Weaponizers are the new Leader Class, IIRC. He looks decent enough. Better than Bumblebee anyway. Don't see myself getting it though.

His gun does seem kind of puny. He looks good though, I like the dark colors

This guy is the one with the pop-up gatling style guns, right?
I guess it's the switch on the chest panel.

And I agree with craggy, this should be Leader class.

I'll reserve judgement for when I see the transformation. If it's good then this is a definite for me because of the lack of FE in America, and the powerizer has it's problems too.

Looks like he's got quite the backpack there. I'm assuming that's where the pop up guns are stored.

I'm hoping this Toy Fair footage isn't just a Shrek-former (TF: Prime) sausage fest...But sadly odds are we wont get any info about Generations FOC Shockwave until Botcon despite rumors of his release in May.

Looks good. Though, the FE Voyager still looks to have the best body proportions of the CGI model.

Wow! And I thought that the firste edidtion voyager optimus prime was going to be the best looking prime we'd see. I have to admit this one is a worthy contestent.

He's a box with limbs and head, basically. Those legs look awful.

How is it that they took an evolutionary step back on almost everything??

2006: Classics. Not perfect (Rodimus), but impressive (Jetfire)
2007: TF1. Not perfect, had gimmicks that were neat the first time.
2008: Universe 2.0. Now...we're getting somewhere. Impressive original molds.
2008: Animated. Mixed bag for the fans, but incredibly show accurate.
2009: ROTF. Complexities that were sometimes necessary, sometimes not, but most could agree that the engineering, at least, was spectacular.
2010: RTS/HFTD. Repaints, repaints, repaints. Of the few new molds, some were really impressive and stood out above the rest.
2011: DOTM. Some figures were nice upgrades, though undersized, while other molds were completely WTF territory.
2011: Generations. Figures look good, but some are waaaay too simplistic, not enough oomph.
2011: First Edition. Figures look good, rather complex, gives you hope.
2012: PRID. Takes several steps back, adds gimmicks that are a waste of money and useless.

The pattern seems to be "We got to a point where we peaked, now we're downhill." Followed by "Oooh, we're gonna try!" followed by "Naw. Let's phone it in."

The Leader Classes are one set of figures that usually impress and wow. They have for quite some time. Energon was a mixed bag, but no one can deny how awesome the Megatron/Galvatron mold was. Cybertron? Optimus and Megatron rocked. Hard. Movieverse, mixed bag, but when they did work, they really wowed everyone.

...now we have a box that unfolds to a truck that looks something like Optimus.

I can't wait to see what's next, at Toy Fair.

Now THIS I would buy. You better straighten out your ass and give us a Weaponizer Megatron, Hasbro. Or I'll be on your ass until it does straighten out...

I generally steer away from the idea of leader and ultra class figures. Because lets face it, electronics almost always hinder the figure in some way or another. What's worse is that they're trying it on the oddly proportioned and slender designs of TFPrime, at least in the past many of the bots who used electronics were meant to be boxy.

On the other hand there were cases in the past where all the electronics were relegated to a weapon or trailer. For instance, Hasbro is market testing play sets now, how about a voyager Optimus with electronic trailer? Preferably he should not combine with it and hinder the figure, it's not necessary and honestly they've managed to make the trailer a separate gimmick package in the past.

I will buy this if they come up with a Weaponizer Megatron. But if they either never do, or if looks like crap with legs and arms that transforms into crap with wings (-cough- M1 Megatron -cough-), then it's a no-go.

I just returned from a local Target hoping to find SW but instead I found 2 BB, 1 CJ, and one Prime. Both Prime and CJ were just horrid in hand up close. That dumb-ass gimick weapon and that stupid blue that is a part of the mold just totally sucks ass! CJ sucked as much ass with that freakin' hole on the top of the alt mode. But I finally figured out why I wasn't too into OP in this new series. It's his solid black feet for all 3 Prime figs, and I don't dig it. IMHO I think they should just be blue just like previous Primes.

At lease Animated put a black trim around the base of Prime's feet and the rest was blue. So why couldn't they do that sh*t? Well they suck ass so just pass me Soundwave...'nuff said!

Yeah but now your just splitting hairs! JK...so those variations worked for those Prime's, point. And as you stated most of those are any color but black, but IMO they don't work for these and it doesn't improve from the fact that this Weaponizer version totally blows! I'd rather buy a Takara FE at current prices than one of these.

It obviously has a huge backpack, but otherwise it looks pretty good. Better than Powerizer Prime. I won't be getting it though because I already have FE Prime, who's in scale and is more accurate.

Pretty much the only time when the term "munky not truk" can actually be used.

Um I like the hands? And this is a pretty good Photoshop job when compared to the previous Prime stock images?

But the toy itself is actually pretty ugly.

These transform, yes? If so, this is the way to go. No ugly blue plastic and mechtech powerizer weapons for me.

Mechtech is 100% the reason I didn't buy an ounce of the main DOTM line.

That clinches it: First Edition rules! This is just a box on legs.

The way these reveals have been going, I'd put good money on us getting our first decent look at Optimus Maximus (or whatever he's called) tomorrow.
