It's just too bad they never seem to get past the first wave.
I'd love to get Kreon Underbite, Hammerstrike, and maybe Fracture's minions, but Custom versions are unlikely, nobody resells the Kreons anymore, and chances are TRU.com will never have them as "ship to home" (assuming they even get it in the first place) so... pthlt.

Ok, so that is how this looks in color:
That was a one step afterall. I am still as clueless as to what that alt mode is, but it is still a pretty effective easy transformation for the character. I doubt he will get the warrior class treatment, and I dont mind if this is all we get. He will scale "ok" with the warrior class figures, although a legion class might be better.
And I must admit, while the Optimus is out of scale and not show accurate (being taller than wider), and he'd be ONE MORE Optimus that I dont need in my collection, I am most curious to get my hands on him and transform him. I am always impressed when he is more than just a cab, and this looks like a very smart and efficient transformation scheme.

Yeah, I am totally onboard for one step fixit.
But what does hotlinking mean, what were you trying to do?
Posted by Sabrblade on January 7th, 2015 @ 8:50am CST
You're image that you took from TFormers doesn't work. TFormers doesn't allow hotlinking, which is taking an image from one site and embedding it onto another.william-james88 wrote:But what does hotlinking mean, what were you trying to do?

Also, I was really on board for Drift, but that pic doesn't make him look very good...I may have to rethink getting him.

Thanks! I just took the same picture from a more reliable site and edited the posts accordingly to keep the same conversation flow. I hope we can see it now.

BlankBot wrote:That Legends wave is already out, isn't it? I thought I saw Sideswipe at TRU the other day. And yeah, is Warrior a broad term for more complex transformation or is that going to be an awkwardly small Optimus?
There have been no sightings that I am aware of. If you happen to see it again, take a picture and send it to sightings@seibertron.com. Warriors is the new RiD term for deluxe class.

That would be the One-Step Sideswipe you saw. Warrior Class is the name for the Deluxe-sized figures, though not necessarily as complex as Generations. As of now, these figures should be out:
One-Step Changers (laying packaging)
Bumblebee
Sideswipe
Strongarm
Underbite
Hyperchange Heroes (3-Steps)
Bumblebee
Grimlock
Legion (standing packaging)
Bumblebee
Optimus Prime
Steeljaw
Strongarm
Warrior Class
Bumblebee
Grimlock
Steeljaw
Strongarm

The animation model has hands, I was referring specifically to the toy. I wish the toy had hands.

I don't think the toy could "fix stuff", like you asked, even if it did have hands.jogunwarrior wrote:Sabrblade wrote:He has hands.jogunwarrior wrote:How does Fixit fix stuff with drills for hands?

I am all for it too. I will be sure to get all the decepticons that come out though I doubt we will be getting many since few seem main.

WiseMan wrote:What's up with the fist covers on Optimus?! That's some awful engineering right there.
It's part of the simplified design, like that you dont need to add complexity like a pop out fist or hide to even more in alt mode (similarly to Prime Kup). Movie Voyager Hound had it too.

I'd also recommend Warrior Grimlock. He's chunky and brawny like Grimlock should be, but he's also got good proportions, articulation and an addictive transformation.

If by "Voyager" you mean "3-step Changer with worse articulation than smaller toys", then probably.

I think you might be out of luck. I've yet to see any articulated offerings bigger than a deluxe that aren't just simplified jointless bricks (BB and GL). I'm not saying they can't happen, I'm just looking at what we have so far.

My only gripe is that the transformation instructions are on the card back itself as opposed to an insert. Not to sound to anal retentive, but it messes with my filing system. anyway, decent figures all around, and makes me want to pick up Bumblebee when I see him.

...yeah, yeah, I know. He's the repair guy, his name has to be Fixit. I think there's probably a support group for kids' cartoon characters who have that name foisted on them by now...

The first elbow worked just fine, but the second one immediately puked out the plastic block that makes the ratchet work. It appears that the plastic in the forearm that the block pushes on is too thin, so if that block wedges at all it just breaks the arm and comes right out. Which sucks because this toy is really fun.
The bright side is now he has a floppy dino-foot that clicks like he's tap dancing when I shake it. He still stands in dino mode just fine, and he might not spend much time in robot mode anyway, but I thought I should give a heads up.

I must just have good luck, because I've bought two GLs now and neither really have that leg/arm problem.
QA must go back and forth a lot.

Wheelie turned into a lawn mower of doom?
Besides, that's not his alternate mode in the show according to bios. He turns into a swiss army knife consisting of multiple fix-it tools or something like that.

It's not really a quality control thing as far as I can see. The little ratchet piece just takes a lot of force to make click, and if it happens to get wedged in wrong it can break the leg. I've been holding the other leg right at the joint and that seems to work okay. I also stuffed some foam in the other leg and that creates enough friction to hold the elbow in place.

While the first wave, as shown in our galleries and news reports, were predominantly Robots in Disguise based, it appears as though the second batch only includes two characters from the series (Terrashock and Quillfire). All the others are G1-esque characters drawn in the style of the new animated series, with a double dip on Jazz and Bumblebee - check out the mirrored image below!
Wondering if Ultra Magnus, Topspin, Cyclonus, Superion and Sharkicon will get newer Rid toys. Or will some CW and Generations gets titans toys.
Would love to see a Voyager or Leader toy for Cyclonus at cheap Retail prices.
Guessing Rid Fixit is the Beast Wars version of Rattrap.
