Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: http://www.activision.com ATVI)
announced today that the Transformers: War for Cybertron Map and Characters
Pack 2 is available now for download on the Xbox 360R video game and
entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStationR3 computer
entertainment system. Based on Hasbro's iconic TRANSFORMERS brand, the
downloadable content pack will include two new, distinct playable
TRANSFORMERS characters and five all-new maps for online multiplayer game
modes.
The new playable TRANSFORMERS characters joining the roster will include
ZETA PRIME and DEAD END. Players will have access to both characters in the
game's heart-pounding, four-player co-op Escalation mode, and will be able
to select their chassis to create their own TRANSFORMERS character in the
traditional competitive multiplayer modes.
In addition, five brand new multiplayer maps will extend the diverse array
of battlefields on which players can wage war with their friends.
* Two new Escalation mode maps include:
* Pulse is an AUTOBOT map and allows players to take a journey inside
the DECEPTICON giant TRYPTICON, challenging fans to explore his twisted
interior corridors to overload the central power core located within.
* Static is a DECEPTICON map that thrusts players into a bevy of
multi-level rooms riddled with environmental traps that can be used for
their advantage.
* Three new competitive multiplayer maps include:
* Horizon is a picturesque statuary overlooking the war-torn AUTOBOT
home city of Iacon, complete with wide open courtyards and tight spaces for
close quarters combat.
* Sector is an old maintenance facility used by the DECEPTICONS during
the legendary war and allows for open vehicle navigation, especially
dive-bombing jets and those with long range weapons.
* Metropolis is set high above the clouds and drops players straight
into the bombed out ruins of a high rise Iacon city building. Liquid
energon drips from broken pipes and sparking electricity crackles from
severed wires as it was once served as a fierce central battleground on
Cybertron.
The Transformers: War for Cybertron Map and Characters Pack 2 is currently
available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for the Xbox 360R video game and
entertainment system from Microsoft for 800 Microsoft Points and in the
PlayStationRStore for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for
$9.99.
Transformers: War for Cybertron is rated "T" (Teen - Violence) by the ESRB.

It should be released in North America. I think Europe is on the 8th.

I hate that map.
I have played in Havoc twice and in Fortress zero times.
And the same with Escalation. Its always the Broken Hope map.
Whats up with this??!!
Instead of creating more DLC's they need to improve its online menus.
Allow us to see who is online in what rooms and let us pick and choose what Maps we want to enter that are currently hosting Battles.....and maybe some chatting to one another would be nice in the alleged, so-called "party lobby".
I hate the randomness of it all.
Its not even random any more, you know youre gonna be put in a certain map all the time.
I really do enjoy this game......... when the online stuff works though.

I do love the game and was hoping to make Prime finally but alas I'm giving in and trading it for Halo Reach. The community is getting to small lately and I need a new game for MP. Even with the DLC 2 pack, it's run it's course for me. But it's been the only MP game I have played consistently since the demo and game were released. Therefore I consider it a huge success.

Bought the first DLC pack and like the above posters have rarely seen the new levels, so consider them a waste of money.
As things currently stand I have given up again due to the shear length of time it would take to max out all the classes. My Scout can stay at level 21, I just cant be arsed any more.
Im sure people have found a way to consistantly cheat in the game. The number of one hit kills I would be a victim of, even with overshield.
It is a pretty decent game though and certainly the best of the Transformer games since the Armada game on the PS2. Lets hope they follow it up with something bigger and better.

also 705 players online? really? thats kinda sad

But yes, the number of players have fallen. I don`t excactly know why, though i think it might be beacuse of the Quadruple XP weekend. I mean, i played the whole time almost, and i both Primed, AND got my characters back to level 25 the next day.
I have though begun to play Co-op Campaign, as well as Escalation. Wich reminds me, what would some of you guys say abut an organized 4-man high Escalation battle?
You see, most players i meet aren`t really that organized, and they usually run away from the group, and get killed. Though the time doesn`t excactly fit well, as i live in Denmark, i would LOVE if some of you guys would play an organized Escalation Battle. Just add me as a friend on PSN, and we could talk about it. [ArtakhaPrime]

What!! How? Were you online the whole weekend? Get any sleep?
During that weekend I was getting about 6000xp per game on average so would still have taken ages......maybe my sneaky approach just doesnt work, though I do generally get more kills than deaths.

its a good game and it does deserve more players but due to the fact that its hard to play with no host migration it kinda sucks...if there is a dlc 3 coming out anytime soon we need a host migration patch

Oh and that the colour palette for customising each character is so limited.
Profiles would be nice too. I'm a TF fan since the start but I'm sure people new to Transformers would like to know about Shockwave or Jazz.

I did the same with 4xp weekend, I primed out then got them all back up to level 24 and 25 the very next day.
And as for Escalation , I would love to play an organized battle. A lot of other people don't know the strategy. I played with a group of randoms once in Broken Hope and they were running all over the place out into the open field getting killed and then someone would go to revive them, then they got shot down, then I would go try to save them and almost get killed myself. By wave 13 and 14 I ended up alone having to finish off two entire waves by myself, and I did it too . I was saving everyone's butt which is rare for me. It was so stressful.
I would love to play with people who know how to play.

I'm more in the mood for more of the offline stuff...more missions and whatnot. Let me pay to get more "game" from the game I bought.

Magnificent. loom, why don`t you try to add me as a friend on PSN (if you play it on PS3), and i could see if some other of my friends would like an organized battle. My name on PSN is ArtakhaPrime
