When I was there on Monday, I remember seeing the Beastbox, Ratbat, Sandsting, and Velocirazor assortment on a "blank label" peg. I was going to get one of each, but as I said, "blank label" peg showing no price and the price scanner right there on the same aisle was broken. Now that I know they're only $5 a pop, I'll be picking them up tomorrow morning when I do some grocery shopping. If others were hesitant about buying them like I was without knowing their price, the four should still be there (fingers crossed).
Yep, still in stock this morning. But now they're on a Flip N Change peg showing $9.99 or something like that, so probably won't sell out any time soon. Scanner on the aisle still showing ERROR, so I unplugged it to see if it would reboot. It did reboot, but still came up ERROR when all was said and done. Regardless, these four from Wave 2 were $4.93 each.

meanwhile, store shelves are dreadfully bare. They had a single Steeljaw and some AOE one steps.
Oh, but they did have 3 Armada Megatrons and one g1 Megs. That was pretty cool....and about a few months late for me

I think I can fairly say that everyone has that problem. It's a shame really because I'm really fond of him, but those arms just won't stay put!

I'm about to do some sightings news for other RiD product and use this thread, but after that would love to report this as well. What Walmart (city, state) did you find these at?wolverinetodd wrote:wolverinetodd wrote:I think the Wal-Mart in my area completely bypassed Wave 1 and got in Wave 2 first. These were found at the Wilkes-Barre Township, PA Toys R Us. Razorclaw's email to the staff came during my lunch hour, so I hit up my local TRU in Raleigh, NC and sure enough, the 3-Step Hyperchange Heroes and Megatronus were available there too. This could be a sign that these toys were "street dated" and are hitting stores nationwide almost simultaneously.
The 2 packs of Legions figures will set you back $11.99 each, and the Deluxe class figures cost $14.99 each. Both of these size classes are simply repaints of earlier toys from the line, with the exception of new mold Legion Megatronus, and are certainly reminiscent of the now infamous 2007 Allspark Battles Transformers Movie sub-line.
The 3-Step Hyperchange Heroes are $19.99 each and are not only retools of the earlier versions, but they include new weapons as well. Finally, the all new, all big 5-Step Megatronus figure will run you $29.99. Keep in mind with all this listed pricing that Toys R Us prices may vary from store to store, or increase without warning at any time!
Galleries of many of the earlier versions of these molds can be found in our Robots in Disguise Galleries.
Be sure to let our News Crew know here. If you see these toys locally be sure to let your fellow collectors know in your local Sightings Thread, or utilize our Sightings Resource page which has been updated to include these figures.

They had just put our full cases of the deployers and minicons, MP Bluestreak, and CW Legion cases with Rodimus and Skywarp. It was the fullest my TRU has been in ages.

Offroad and Alpha Bravo were his favorites since they were so unique and he hated that there were 3 different jets! Nice to hear what youngsters look at. He also said the RiD stuff was far and away his favorite line cause they looked so cool and he could transform them quickly. Quite a nice perspective.
I can imagine, it's nice to hear what a kid likes rather then what a collector wants to complain and nitpick about.
Actually to be honest, I've not gotten any of the Arielbots cuz of the same reason, and I would much rather get the Silverbolt mold when Computron comes out.

Actually on my pirthday, when I wen't to Target to shop, I saw legion Fixit and Underbite, deluxe Sideswipe and Jazz, the Leader Megatrons, and other stuff, but due to budget I got CW Dragstrip, along with some Legos.

I have Grimlock, and I really really like him, but keep seeing a lot of them on sale at shops in town, and with Auto Assembly coming up, I want to have at least a vague idea of things I might want to pick up without overthinking it.
I know Sideswipe has terrible joints which hinder any kind of enjoyment of the toy, really.
Strongarm has big back kibble, but any other takes on her?
Jazz? Drift? Steeljaw?
Posted by Cobotron on August 9th, 2015 @ 11:09am CDT
He is just a really solid TF. Simple and fun.
Jazz is really cool too, though.
...and I am still a big supporter of Strongarm. She is just such a nice girl with a good heart.
In this order V,
Drift
Jazz
Strongarm
Steeljaw
Sideswipe
Gosh darnit, Bee is a pretty cool lil TF too.

Bumblebee too, you say? Hm. I've done so well without owning a single Bumblebee so far...
Anyone else want to add to Cobo-san?

Eh. Not a fan of the G1 scheme on such a different thing. Greenlock is perfect as he is.
So majestic..

Dear god, the typos!
Still, Bee is the most interesting mold for me. He look great from the back, his kibbles are reasonable, his transformation is clever and fun, plus both vehicle and bot modes are great. Finally, the Takara deco make buying a Reprolabel set a moot point.
Drift and Jazz are nice, but both have horrible back that look like a squished vehicle. Jazz's legs are ugly, with the hollowness very apparent and the fact that the leg's wheels don't fold away is at fault. As for drift, his face fell off all the time whennever I look at his horns funny. But that may just be mine.

Well duh!Jazz is really cool too, though.
To answer your question; Drift. I'm going re-arrange Cobs list a bit though .
Drift
Fixit (yeah, you forgot about this lil awesome guy )
Jazz
Bee
Grimlock (only because I want him to be bigger, I added him for others)
Sideswipe (the arms are more annoying than a problem)
Steeljaw
Strongarm
I don't own OP so I can't comment on him yet. Honestly, they are all pretty cool figures and I don't regret picking up any of them. They only just barely edge each other out on the list rankings.

Decepticons beware, because Patrol Mode Strongarm is here to thwart their evil schemes! This Autobot warrior figure is on patrol, and She converts in 4 steps from robot mode to police truck mode and back. SHe’ll keep his eye on those sneaky Decepticons and bust them at their evil deeds! You can unlock the character in the Transformers Robots in Disguise app when you scan the figure’s badge into the app! (Device not included.) Whether She’s in police truck or robot warrior mode, Decepticons won’t be able to dodge him HER for long! Transformers and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.
Decepticons beware, because Ultra Magnus is here to bring the hammer down on their evil ways! This Autobot warrior figure is the ultimate Decepticon hunter, and he converts in 5 steps from robot mode to truck mode and back. You won’t find him backing down from a fight! You can unlock the character in the Transformers Robots in Disguise app when you scan the figure’s badge into the app! (Device not included.) Whether he’s in truck or robot warrior mode, Decepticons won’t be able to withstand his battle charge for long! Transformers and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

Which one I would own solely? IDW styled Drift or legion Fixit. Those are the 2 options and it would be a fight to decide
Posted by BERSEKAEL on August 9th, 2015 @ 9:43pm CDT
I would totally buy it if was "motormaster" with proper headsculpt, not just repaint.

Yeah, its so rare we get a mold where the trailer is part of the robot these days that Motormaster would be a perfect Oppotrunity.
So, VA'AL:
Va'al wrote:I know Sideswipe has terrible joints which hinder any kind of enjoyment of the toy, really.
Strongarm has big back kibble, but any other takes on her?
Jazz? Drift? Steeljaw?
The best is Drift for the simplicity but beauty of the transformation. It is perfect. The way the chest forms is so smart in a super simple way. And that alt mode is insane! He will be on a few best of lists.
Scott was right actually, the really cool thing with these is the alt modes, they are top notch. It's a very underrated line, with new characters and new designs.
The rest after Drift are all itneresting but deeply flawed. Here are quick reviews:
Steeljaw: amazing concept with the most complex transformation for a deluxe out right now on the shelves and great alt mode. The flaw is in his very thin arms and overly cumbersome kibble.
Sideswipe: he is probably the RID toy I like transforming best. This is on a new level of clever with really smart double purpose kibble that flips around depending on the mode. It also has a nice lean look in comparison to the rest. But of course, you cant play with it well since the chest wont peg together and posing him becomes a really sore point.
Strong Arm: her backpack is the leat of your worries and I actually think thats her best attribute. Simply because it isnt a backpack. It's a smart use of a shellformer by turning the shell into it's back and giving it wings (like movie bumblebee). My problem with it is its oversimplification and the really ugly forearms.
Bumblebee: I am not as big a fan of this guy as Kanrabat is but I will say that it is a nice fun toy. Nice in both modes but the robot mode suffers from a lack of posability due to the cumbersome enormous shoulders.
And the Warrior Class Optimus toy is garbage for the most part. It has everything I hate in transformers: fake kibble (for the chest), overly simple transformation devoid of wit, and really obvious robot parts in alt mode:

I can give you that for the under shot. But for the view from the top, I see it all the time. I transform and pose my toys regularly, and enjoy just fiddling with them and those legs making the back of his trailer are super apparent and dont look good. I feel the Legion class does a better job with the trailer area.
