Here's what we talk about during this episode:
- The show starts out with a look at the latest cartoon series which has just premiered in much of the world, Transformers: Cyberverse. Our discussion covers the first two episodes of the show.
- Comics talk begins, and for listeners that aren't caught up on the latest, look out for 18:03 to 1:35:13 in the audio file. We start out with thoughts and analysis of Lost Light #23.
- Unicron #4 comes next, with an almost page-by-page dive into the contents.
- Comics discussion concludes with briefer thoughts about Optimus Prime #23.
- New Studio Series toys were revealed at Fan Expo 2018 in Canada, and we take a look at the most - and least - exciting of these upcoming new toys.
- Scotty P gives his quick thoughts on just released MP-34S Shadow Panther.
- Bragging Rights takes us to the end of another episode, with SDCC restocks and birthday gifts rounding out the proceedings.
We'll be back in a couple weeks with more fun Transformers talk! If you liked the episode, please share a link on your social media page, or let us know in the discussion thread here on the boards. We really appreciate hearing from you!

Seriously though - every subsequent iteration of the space bridge looks more and more like a Stargate, both in design and practical function. I'd love to see a more traditional al G1 type space bridge sometime.

I dont know about Better, it's not bad, I dont hate it, but this is not growing on me the way Anumated's art style did.
I see why you think ot looks like RID, to me it more feels like when in the comics a different artist tries to emulate another's style for Continuity. Its just not the same thing. Windbaldes head for example looks too much like a basketball.
It does look like a Star Gate, but realy it felt like a boxier version of the Bridge from prime, like you drew the Prime orbiting space bridge in a 16 bit format.
I like Starscream's voice.
I loved the Cortical Psychic- "oh whoops, thats not it" bit. What the he'll was she holding?
Even God has limits? Or Functionist Rung is not Primus Rung. God, the irony of the Functionists calling Primus the Useless One.
Have we seen a Forged Bot die recently? Maybe Forged bots *poof*, nut since Constructed Cold Bodies are made differently they dont just poof.
I'm not so sure the the Omegas are gone. I feel like they probably were cut for time, but that was a lot of unneeded exposition for an unused story. Otherwise, there was no reason to make a piston as anything other than a really smart 8 Ball. So what happens if they blow up Unicron over in Optimus Prime Unicron books does that mean we'll see a guardian slip in over there.
I didnt see the Universe.
Poor Blurr.
Ooh! What if Primus plugs into Primus, slugs Unicron into next Tuesday, and replaces the lost Cybertron with the Functionist... never mind, Scotty just said that.
Mmm mmm.
Yeah, its a Statue of Unicron. The problem is where it came from, because Bludgeon says Unicron couldnt Transform until the Onyxwave Eye ship was plugged into it. So is this some artist's interpretation of the Unicron myth or what? Is it Cybertronian, something Prowl got from when he worked for Sentinel?
I liked that quote. I think its an unintentional parallel because both books are dealing with Giant Planet Robots. Its more or less two railroads taking the same route through town.
The Talisman is a pool of Magic playdoh.
Visiinaries is a parallel to Transorganic Cybertron. The telling thing in Leoric's line is he says "Like a normal planet. He's being somewhat planetist about Cybertron being a mechanical world.
Poor Blurr. Quick aside, most of my headcannon connecrs more to Marvel than DC, but I had a story idea about Blurr coming to Earth to meet the Flash in hopes of maybe discovering why he is what he is. So the obvious but fitting Blurr/Flash comparison was nice. He got a beautiful final curtain, going from SpotLight Blurr where he was more sports star and he goes out a hero.
And irs impactful because Blurr comes out like an aside story. You arent tinking about Blurr like you are Prime or Windblade.
I think it was more surprising than anything that A)Unicron actually got to eat Cybertron. Has he ever succeeded? and B) The Bad Guy got to win. Losing Cybertron wasnt impactful, but it was surprising
I think prowls calculations were based on getting to Earth, I don't see prowl caring much about a Decepticon space station, even if he was the head of Devastator for a while
It has been nice to see a slightly different Unicron story
Yes, I did feel like the wind blade hug was a little out of sorts. I feel like it was one of those responses where you who haven't seen anybody for a while, and would have made some kind of sense, because even though windblade and Optimus don't necessarily get along I don't get the feeling that she outright hates him and given that everybody's dying right and left in Cybertron is gone seeing somebody familiar comeback is reassuring. and would make sense if Prime had gone several issues but from our perspective we only saw him gone for several panels
Wait, what? I read rhe books, but what? They shoved a Sweep spark in Slag? Dafuq did I miss?
So excited for WWII Bee. I love that they went Straxus and used the handle of the weapon as the turret.
That new Sideswipe looks like he might tie together the two Sideswipe gimmicks: sword and gun
The parts were rubber cast hydraulic rams.
Uh, your missing the sec9nd half of the Bragging Rights. It drops off after Scotty says "some guy didnt want to deal with that." Probably didnt niss much, but I like the Bragging Rights segment because I learn about previously obscure things or toys I thought I would pass on.
Thanks guys!

I'm blanking on if this was towards the end of Salvation or in OP 15-ish. Somewhere in that nebulous pile of pre-"The Falling" books.Flashwave wrote:Wait, what? I read rhe books, but what? They shoved a Sweep spark in Slag? Dafuq did I miss?
Yeah, looks like a mistake has been made. We'll get it fixed up, I think everyone's at work rn but hopefully will have it patched up by this evening.Flashwave wrote:Uh, your missing the sec9nd half of the Bragging Rights.
