In this episode, Ryan and Mike go in to collector nirvana describing what it's like owning the super-awesome collectible that so many now have their hands on ... Metroplex.
A little ol' convention called WONDERFEST happened, and there was some big yellow plasticy Scorponok thing shown on display next to G1 Fortress Maximus. The crew speculate, and wonder what does it actually mean? And then we talk dolls... like CM Corps new addition in Spike and Daniel Exosuits.
Then there's the hunting. Beast Hunters 'Rise of the Predacons' Exclusives, Target resets, Generations comic packs, and more seemed to magically appear all at the same time. Is Target the most consistent retailer for releasing similar toys at similar times in so many stores?
Not only are Beast Hunters toys making news, but the Beast Hunters cartoon showed its final episode, and we share a few thoughts on its finality, Bumblebee speaking, and what comes next for Transformers cartoons.
Believe it or not, the Twincast also had a few moments to talk about the SDCC TF/GI JOE Exclusive Set and how separate entities are having trouble playing nice when it comes to a certain white jet with black and red details, and super-cool fast pack jet engines.
And finally...
Do you like free stuff? If so you may want to tune in as the crew of the podcast announces a bit of a contest. Details are in the show, and will be expounded on in this podcast thread. We're looking forward to your creativity. The winner will receive a new Generations deluxe class Transformers toy. Only U.S. residents and non-Seibertron.com staff members are eligible to win.
Thanks for tuning in! If you get a chance, please leave us some feedback about this episode. We really like to hear from our listeners!

The card art is where they got in trouble because Harmony Gold has the rights to the likenesses of all Valkyries. It sucks. No one likes it and I hope that if this lawsuit goes through, Hasbro wins. Who knows though.

Darksteel and Skylynx are the two new Preds for the DVD/TV movie.
65 episodes was always the intention for TF: Prime. Steven Melching said that they came into the show knowing how they wanted to end it, and said that 65 episode was their maximum longterm goal that they were hoping to reach, but weren't sure if they could make it that far.

Going by my purchase records, there have been 90 US Transformers toy releases since May (this counts things like the Botcon Box Set or Predacons Rising Abominus as one release, not five). This assumes I left nothing out, which isn't guaranteed! Pretty crazy how busy it's been after the first part of the year was quite slow.

I don't think Daniel is in scale with Rodimus based on the 86 movie. I mean that fishing scene standing he'd be lucky to be up to hotrod's knee it seems:
Not to mention that that's hotrod, whom should be closer to the scale of masterpiece sideswipe where as the picture we've seen of the cm corps are comparing him to the taller Rodimus.
Just my .02.. We all know scale doensn't matter where transformers are involved!

Counterpunch could put more eloquently than I. It's a photo contest of transformers and human figures. kinda like the G-TR figures, but it can be more than pin ups girls, the pictures can be funny, action, whatever. Also, bonus points for figmas!

Exactly.
One Transformer and one human companion.

Now I mentioned that my new book is up on Amazon as well.
The first one is here: Legacy of Shadow: Master of the House
Julian Hitchings is offered the opportunity to take control of one of Seaside's notorious criminal gangs with all the wealth, prestige, and danger the position offers. Aided by his oldest friend, two dangerous and desperate refugees from the north, and a cunning but unbalanced councilor, they are successful beyond all imagination.
Their success brings about the revelation that all is not well in Seaside. A sinister evil is growing in the heart of their city, and their actions may have been enabling it all along. Ancient debts are coming due, and Julian alongside his comrades must break through the veil of deceit before they are manipulated down a path from which there is no escape. Failure will leave them as unwitting pawns in a game where the stakes are their very souls. With enemies on all sides, Julian resolves to take whatever measures are necessary to protect his friends and to prove to the rest of the criminal underworld that he is indeed the Master of the House.
The sequel is here: Legacy of Shadow: House of Cards
Julian’s Syndicate has made a name for itself in the vicious streets of Seaside. They have money, respect, and the favor of the criminal mastermind known as Turnbill.
But the winds of change have begun to blow, and Julian’s house of cards is about to come crashing down around him.
The rising fortunes of his organization have drawn the attention of Envy, an ancient incarnation of sin who is foretold to bring about the end times.
When Envy gives the people of Seaside a hero of her own making, Julian and his allies must find a way to thwart this false messiah from the shadows before the great City State unwittingly barters its soul for security.

Mike/CP - thanks for bringing up the "golden age" of wrestling! It truly was a "can't miss it" every Monday night (and whatever other night of the week they put original programming on).
The Harmony Gold situation really sucks. I was hoping to get the SDCC set somewhere down the line.

And yet, they might not go through the expense of remolding, even if you mailed it to them. If only we Could Honestly Make Sure that this part of TF history will be reproduced for future generations.
Just sayin'.
Good show. I don't listen to many because I'm still about 3 years behind on IDW, and try to avoid spoilers, so thanks for keeping this one largely free of them!

We're discussing how to implement a way to keep you unspoiled for good on that Can't say too much, but I can say that soon you'll be able to listen to the show without much fear of spoilers, ever.
