The toy mysteriously brought to our attention by Jeroen at least a month ago when it was promoted via a website, did not seem to be of interest. We had no idea what it was, or what it was related to.
Now we know that this exclusive repaint of Cybertron Legends Starscream was a promotional toy given away in the UK having to do with the War for Cybertron game. The exact details of how many were created, and what the exact parameters of the promotion involved still seem to be a mystery.
Check out the gallery below for what may become a desirable exclusive in the near future.

I would have pre-ordered one of those in a heartbeat had I known
Hasbro UK: Can't give you releases of main-line figures, but we can score secret excluaives...
That said, looks like a smart little box and paint job on that bad-boy, now if only they'd done Skywarp

That means the two can't be separated in stores, but outside the store on the second market it's perfectly legal.

So far the American releases of the voyager mold have been exclusive 2 packs.
A general release single figure would be awesome.

I know, I was being facetious
In all seriousness though, it's a very nice offer. While I'm sure no American stores will notice, it'd be a very nice selling tactic. I mean, look how many people were clamoring for an Avero Swerve a few years back.

I did report it to the site at the beginning of May but it wasn't deemed noteworthy as the picture they sent out in advertising emails was of the original colours.
Of course when it drops through peoples letterboxes with a new paint scheme it becomes a big deal.
Assuming they have any left, the cheapest way to get hold of one is with the Decepticon version on the Nintendo DS as they are currently listing that at £16.85

Which is where I would suggest the confusion has arsien, how many people glossed over that simply assuming that it was regular legends "overstock"?
Promotion Hasbro, promotion.....
