This is going to tickle a few of you out there, remember that Blitzwing toy/charcter from the Bumblebee movie that looked more like Starscream than anything else? Well the voyager sized Nitro Series Energon Igniter Blitzwing toy we got from that line has actually been repainted in G1 Starscream colours and is being released as Starscream in the Rise of the Beasts toyline.
It was found in Mexico, along with Flex Changers Cheetor (one step Cheetor), which is also a new toy we never saw before. This Starscream does have a wavemate and it is a rerelease of the voyager sized Nitro Series Optimus Prime, which sports his Evasion Mode body. These Energon Igniter mold reuses are all part of a Autobots Unite subline which we are assuming is store exclusive, with good odds of that being Walmart.
Hasbro had stated that the voyager class velocitron Hot Rod was not picked up by Walmart which instead was prioritizing exclusives for the Rise of the Beasts film and this could be that exclusive line they are going all in on. Of course, that is yet to be confirmed.
The images of these new Mexican sightings were found here.

Thanks to chuckdawg1999 we have two video reviews for gimmick toys in the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line. There's the Optimus Prime that turns into a functional Nerf gun and the one step Nightbird figure, which is labelled as a "flex changer". The review shows you the gimmick.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Well, this is something new. Hasbro continues to innovate, for better or worse, the simplified one-step conversion with the new Flex Changers. Transformation revolves around rubber bands that connect the panels that have to move for transformation. In the case of Nightbird, you end up almost turning the figure inside out. Unfortunately this new design results in no articulation whatsoever, but the tactile feel of transforming Nightbird back and forth more than makes up for it.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:With a new movie line, there's usually some role-play product that ties in. once again Hasbro uses their Nerf brand to bring us an Optimus Prime figure that transforms into a fun blaster. Transformation is actually surprisingly involved, especially in the arms which I appreciate, moving beyond a simple one-step or flip-change transformation. While not for most collectors, if you're looking for something fun for an office battle this fits the bill nicely.

While Starscream was found a little while ago, the Walmart exclusive retro G1 reissue of Hot Rod in cartoon colours has just finally been found now. We got a few reports from fans of this toy being found on shelves in the state of Florida. This is good news since some preorders were cancelled by Walmart, and with the toy being sold out online, the only way of getting it would be finding it in stores.
For those curious, we have a review below showing the big differences in deco when comparing to the previous G1 reissue. This toy comes with no stickers and every detail is painted instead.

This is pretty cool. We've known for a long time that Travis Knight had planned a scene in the beginning of Bumblebee where Megatron would show up, but that was scrapped since Hasbro still wanted to hold onto the Bayverse continuity. And we knew a design for Megatron within this more G1 setting existed, since we had a Tiny Turbo changer toy released of that design. Yet we never actually saw a render or concept art for that Megatron. Well, we have one now. The Rise of the Beasts Titan Changers were found in Mexico yesterday and while the figures are all figures we saw before released under Generations/Authentics, their box art shows their latest renders. For Megatron, we finally get to see that render of the form he would have had in the Bumblebee movie.
So just to reitrate, this is a design Hasbro has had for the past 5 years and this is our very first time seeing it properly. We have had listings for a Movie 6 Megatron figure in the Studio Series line, and that refers to the Bumblebee film. That upcoming figure could be based on this design. We'll see.

The Transformers Rise of the Beasts Transforming masks were some of the first products we saw for the line last year. They've been sitting in US warehouses for a year now practically, and they have finally come to American shelves. The Optimus Primal and Bumblebee masks were found in Meijer in Michigan for 34.99 USD, by ziltama who posted them on the TFW2005 boards. Let us know if you'll go for these at that price. The repackaged Smash and Change Optimus Prime was also found at the same location.

The Transformers Rise of the Beasts line is being found across the world. We had sightings in the UK, the US, and now Mexico. This Mexico sighting is doubly interesting because it is our first sighting of the first wave of voyagers, and so we get our first look at this Optimus Primal toy in beast mode. While we had seen a wave that has his wavemate Optimus Prime and Rhinox, that is actually wave 2. So that means both wave 1 and wave 2 have been produced and distributed internationally, it's just a matter of time when they'll be found on your local shelves.
This sighting, by Seth Sunthay, also includes the Titan Changers. We see Cheetor, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Megatron is probably the same we've had before, but I'd be curious to see the box art, so expect an update once we get better pictures of this set of figures.

Both NEST Ratchet and Origins Jazz have been found in Canada. Since they are part of the Buzzworthy Bumblebee toyline, they are exclusive to Toysrus. These were found in Markville, Ontario, by Janitor over at Cybertron.ca. But the best news is that Jazz is $35 CAD rather than the obscene 25% markup toysus places on deluxes these days.

Lots of news for the Rise of the Beasts toyline. While the line is supposed to be released internationally on April 10th, many stores are stocking them earlier. And that gives us a look at toys we didn't even know were coming out.
So we have rereleases of toys from the Bumblebee line, which you can see below. One of the more interesting ones is an Energon Igniters Ironhide redeco which is labelled as Battletrap. It does have a render of Bayverse Ironhide though. We also see Bayverse Megatron on the rerelease of the ROTF Megatron toy from the Bumblebee line.
In similar news, we have our first look at the deluxes in individual packaging with Airazor. The box art is pretty cool since the image takes up two sides creating for a fun effect when stocking boxes, as you can see below.
And lastly, we have more shots of voyager Optimus Primal in bot mode. Two of the shots below are from a private event/exhibition in Australia and we thank Ozformers for the images.

With Walmart and Target lagging behind online retailers, like Amazon and stores which may cater more to collectors, there can be great discrepency between the time a toy is made available to fans and the time it shows up at a big box store. So we wanted to let you know that the wave of Legacy Legacy Evolution that includes Skyquake and a repacked Dragon Megatron has been found at a Gamestop in California. It was found by Sness who posted it here.
For those wanting a review in case you aren't sure if you want to buy into this mold (since we know Dreadwing is coming too and possibly much more), here is a review that shows size comparisons.

Boom and just like that, your toy aisles now have a whole new assortment of Transformers toys. We have reports from many collectors that they have now found all gimmick toys already revealed by Hasbro for the Rise of the Beasts line. There is more to come of course, like further waves and further classes, but those have not been revealed by Hasbro yet. The Beast Weaponizers 2-Pack and the Battle Channgers (which includes Rhinox, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee) have been found at Meijer stores. The individual targetmasters, like Cheetor and Rhinox, are appearing at Targets. The image below is from Shane Shane.
We still have yet to see the mainline voyagers, individual deluxes or one steps, but none of those have been revealed by Hasbro yet.
We will post reviews when they come in. For now, we have one for the Beast Weaponizer 2-packs.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:If there's one gimmick in the ROTB main toyline that will attract collectors it's the Beast Weaponizers, small robotic animals that turn into weapons like blasters, swords, crossbows, and chainsaws; the last two are featured here with Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime. Both Primal and Prime are basic figures but feature more articulation than the Beast Combiner figures, which makes them a bit more fun. The Weaponizers remind me of the Arms Micron era of Transformers and complement the larger robots well. Between the two I feel Optimus Prime is better due to having more articulation and a more pronounced alternate mode.

Some images are being shared across social media of voyager Optimus Primal from the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line. While the images do show us the entire figure, most images show it mistransformed or in mid transformation. We do have an ok look at the bot mode but it's not the same with the alt mode. It does seem like the idea of the transformation is that there is a head swap, like the Kingdom toy, and there are different chest panels for the gorilla and bot mode.
This is meant to be in the first wave of voyagers from the main line while the Rhinox and Optimus Prime wave we saw would be wave 2. But we'll see if that's still the case since wave assortments can change.

This is more of a clarification than news, but judging from the comments on social media, it seems it bears to be mentioned. While a multipacks of deluxe class figures for the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line have been revealed and even found, we are still getting the same deluxe figures as individual releases. Not only have we had listings for the single deluxe releases, but we also have shipping manifests showing that these single releases have arrived at US ports. This was confirmed by TFW2005 user Silver Optimus.
Which means that on Target shelves, you will have deluxe class toys from the 3 packs that will also be on shelves sold individually at the same time. If anyone is curious as to why Target would get have the same items on shelves at the same time, it is most probably due to the film delays. While the individual deluxe releases (by that I mean the non SS deluxe Airazor, and the Wheeljack with glasses toy we've seen) were all scheduled for a 2022 release, Hasbro is only distributing them now. The Target exclusive 3 packs may have always been scheduled for 2023 (since 2022 still had a steady stream of Buzzworthy Bumblebee releases) and now everything is coming to shelves at the same time. There should be no difference between the decos. What is happening here is the same thing that happened with the Cyberverse deluxe 3 pack, except since that one was released as scheduled, the 3 pack was released after the individual releases.

With the new Transformers Rise of the Beasts gimmick toys out now, we have a review to give you a better look at the toy in case you are curious about it.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Finally, we have some official, non-side-released, Rise of the Beasts toys to check out. Beast Combiner Optimus Primal with Skullcruncher is a fun toy, borrowing heavily from the Spark Armor concept from Cyberverse while bringing something new to the table. You really have to like the wink and a nod homage to the very first Beast Wars release from back in the day. While targeted towards younger fans, there's more than a little here for older fans as well.

With the Transformers Rise of the Beasts toys released at retail now, we have images of the character models on the boxes and some are new. Like these two of Nightbird and Wheeljack, two bots which we didn't see much of in the marketing so far. It is still to be seen how different their final look in the film will be but these are their main looks for promotional material and merchandise.
These figures are not only beloved by fans but are also significant in the Transformers mythos. Metroplex, the Autobot City, was one of the largest Transformers of his time, towering over other figures. The original Generation 1 toy had two versions, one with rubber wheels and the other with plastic wheels, and both are included in the galleries. The plastic wheels version is our "main" Metroplex gallery because the rubber wheels version was covered in-depth in the gallery of the Encore Metroplex reissue.
Metroplex's companions, Six-Gun, Scamper, and Slammer, are also included in the galleries. Six-Gun, in particular, is notable for being made up of six smaller guns that combine to form his robot mode. Scamper is a fully transformable black car. Slammer is a non-transforming drone-like tank.
Trypticon, the Decepticon dinosaur, is another impressive figure featured in the galleries. He can transform into a robotic space station, a city, and of course, his dinosaur form. Alongside Trypticon are his loyal minions, Full-Tilt and Brunt, who add to the overall menacing presence of the figure. Full-Tilt is a full transformable purple vehicle, comparable to Scamper. Brunt is non-transforming tank made of various accessories from Trypticon and has a light-up feature on his cannon.
Whether you're a longtime fan of these iconic Transformers figures or discovering them for the first time, Seibertron.com's galleries are a must-see for any collector or enthusiast. Check out our extensive galleries of each of these exciting G1 Transformers action figures below by clicking on any of the images.

We have reports of several toys from the Transformers Rise of the Beasts main toyline being found or now in the hands of US fans.
From our own Seibertronian, Ig89ninja, we have reports of the Beast Alliance Beast Combiners found at their local Target. Those include Bumblebee & Snarlsaber, Arcee & Silverfang and Optimus Primal & Skullcruncher, they are $21.99. We also have in hand images from TF Fan Sponge who found them at a Target in Texas and also provided the receipt with DCPI. We see through their images that the armours are interchangeable with the robots.
Ig89ninja also found the Target exclusive 3 pack that includes deluxe Nightbird, Cheetor and Wheeljack. So great news for fans of that design. That 3 pack is $59.99.
Lastly, the Optimus primal and Optimus Prime Beast Alliance Beast Weaponizers 2-Packs have come in from Amazon.com and been delievered to US fans. They were $14.94 and we have a review for Optimus Primal with Arrowstripe.

We have an interesting bit of news to bring to you all. Thanks to Seibertronian fonziechavez for this. He recently received his order of Crosscut from Hasbro Pulse, who's a recolor of the Burnout version of the Legacy Skids mold. But as you can clearly see from the pictures below, his Crosscut figure was packed in the wrong box, instead of Crosscut's own. The box and box art belong to Medix, an Autobot brought into Legacy as a G1 version of the character from the Transformers Rescue Bots line. Medix is rumored to be this year's store exclusive for Walgreens, continuing their tradition of having an exclusive with a medical or science theme (Brainstorm, Ratchet, Minerva....(and for some reason, Bluestreak). Check out the pictures below!
As can be clearly seen from these images, Medix is a re-use of the Crankcase version of the Skids/Burnout/Crosscut/Crankcase mold, with the masked head originally used on Burnout from the Velocitron Speedia 500 line. He'll apparently come with translucent red versions of the weapons that originally came with Legacy Elita-1 and Minerva, as well as the grille-gun and pistol from Crankcase.
So what do you all think of this packaging error that gives us a first look at Medix's box? Has anyone else gotten any Legacy figures with similar mistakes? Let us know in the forums and the comments below!

We thank fellow Seibertronian Sol Magnus for letting us know of a nice find in the US. He found Crosscut at a Gamestop in Maryland. While big box stores have a history of being where fans find their toys, the focus has really shifted to more collector based outlets, which are more likely to have current toys. We are seeing that with Gamestop in Canada where the Evoltuion wave 2 core class are also being found right now at Gamestops.

Many fans were wondering if Wheeljack being absent from some marketting artwork meant something. Well, Takara has now revealed his movie look officially, along with our first look at Stratosphere and a brand new Terrorcon we didn't know of yet, Transit. We thank EvasionModeBumblebee for letting us know of these additions to the previously reported character models. Once again, we do not know how different this artwork will be to the final look of these characters in the film.
