Transformers One is upon us and even if the film may not interest all fans, seeing fully stocked shelves will make any grinch's heart grow three sizes. While the toys are coming in rather slowly in the US, Mexican fans are getting the more traditional approach where Walmart is stocking the line all at once, turning the toyline into film promotion, as is intended. Below are images showing the toyline out in full force.
The toys are coming to the states as well but the shelves don't look as inviting or inspiring, you can check the contrast with a US target below.
And for those wanting to know more about these toys, we have some reviews below for the Mega Changers (same as Titan Changers), Robot Battlers, Cog Changers (one steps) and the Ultimate Energon Optimus Prime, courtesy of Chuckdawg1999.

With Transformers One being a general prequel to the brand, Paramount and Hasbro have chosen to spoil the third act in their latest trailers. It really seemed like the upcoming Transformers One film would be taking place predominantly before the war between Autobots and Decepticons, but the new trailers (one for domestic market, the other international) veers right into that conflict as being the culminating climax. The new trailer shows us a lot of Optimus Prime and Megatron, which is their third form in the film.
We also have new posters which you can see below. The movie has now been seen by more people and the embargo for reactions is now over, so we will be doing a write uo of how well this movie has been received as well. Stay tuned.

It's been a while since we've seen an intentionally rare Transformer released, and even less common for it to be from Hasbro. No Surprise it's an Optimus Prime figure, right? As part of the 40th Anniversary celebration and ahead of the release of Transformers: One, a special "Battle Damaged" version of Studio Series 112 Optimus Prime/Orion Pax has been revealed by Hasbro HK limited to only 230 individually numbered copies globally! For Hasbro HK's part they'll be giving away 40 of them (8 per day) at Hasbro Fans Expo to people spending $3,000HKD ($384USD) in the Hasbro booth.
This isn't the only exclusive being offered. For those spending $800HKD ($102USD) they have "Transformers 40th Anniversary Commemorative Poker Cards" limited to 280 at the Expo (global number wasn't given). For those spending $500HKD ($64USD) they're giving out 280 40th Anniversary collectable coins which appear to be limited 5,000 globally. And while it doesn't appear to be exclusive, 500 sets of BotBots are being given to those that spend $300HKD ($38USD).
No word on where else these will be made available around the world, but we do have San Diego Comic Con THIS WEEKEND (Hasbro Fans Expo will be offering SDCC exclusives) so who knows? When we do we'll be sure to let everyone know and you can talk about it in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

We still have one more wave in the Studio Series line in 2024 that has yet to be revealed fully, which includes War for Cybertron Ratchet. While we do not have any listings for that 4th wave, Amazon.com somehow put up listings for the first wave of 2025. Now you can't order these and they have no images. BUT it makes us wonder if the toys listed will be available earlier than anticipated.
Double Punch, a red redeco of ROTB deluxe Scorponok calling back to the color scheme of Beast Wars Double Punch, with the name calling even further back to one of the rarest Transformers toy molds to find complete, which also turns into a scorpion. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0D94ZRV?tag=seibertron07-20& ... formers-20

This may not be news for everyone, but we wanted to give an FYI to fans who may benefit to know that Takara is reissuing several figures next year. For the Masterpiece line, they will reissue MP36 Megatron along with MP12+ Sideswipe, MP17+ Prowl and MP20+ Wheeljack. Those are the toon deco versions. This will be happening in 2025, along with 2 multipacks: SS Devastator and Legacy Menasor.
In less exciting news, they will also give fans another chance to get the Universal Studios redeco of the Studio Series Leader DOTM Megatron toy.
It is unclear which of these will be exclusive reissues through takara tomy mall and which will be non exclusive, and available readily on Amazon Japan and other Japanese retailers.

It's been a little while, but here's a brand new Seibertron.com gallery for all of you to enjoy.
This new gallery showcases the Transformers Studio Series 112 Deluxe Class Optimus Prime toy. The Transformers Studio Series 112 Deluxe Class Optimus Prime stands out as a must-have for Transformers collectors. The figure is approximately 6 inches tall and boasts remarkable attention to detail, reflective of the character's appearance in the upcoming Transformers One movie. He converts from robot to truck mode, showcasing the versatility and playability that Transformers collectors have come to expect from the Studio Series toy line.
The gallery is available on Seibertron.com, providing fans and collectors an in-depth look at this latest addition to the Transformers Studio Series line. The gallery of over 170 images showcases this toy's features, superb articulation, and accessories. Thanks to some butterfly shoulder joints, this Optimus Prime can actually hold the Matrix of Leadership accessory and can even pull of the popular "hero pose" due to its top notch poseability. The comparison pictures did something a little different since this is the only Transformers One figure currently in the Seibertron.com collection. This time around, the comparison pictures feature many other "deluxe class" Optimus Prime figures from over the years (with a couple of exceptions).
This new gallery marks a special moment as it's been a while since Seibertron.com posted one of our massive galleries. The release of this extensive gallery aims to offer Transformers enthusiasts a comprehensive visual guide to the Studio Series 112 Deluxe Class Optimus Prime. Fans can appreciate the meticulous design and articulation of the toy through these detailed images.
You can view the complete gallery by visiting here. Seibertron.com currently has this figure available to purchase at our ebay store at shop.seibertron.com.

The Legacy Star Raiders line is upon us. Hasbrouck Pulse shipped out Ferak a little while ago and are now shipping Filch. The better news is that Wal-Mart is shipping Filch out in Canada, meaning that a North American Wal-Mart is rolling out their stock. It also means that the web orders are using solid case packs, as intended, leaving assorted cases for retail. Below is a review of Filch and images comparing her to the original Airazor mold.
As you'll see, Hasbro gave this character extra attention and this seems to be the best version of the mold yet.

When we made our story on the Transformers Squeezeling toys last week, some good questions came up like: how squeezable are they. Turns out, not very. So while the toys don't have much going for them already, they can't even fulfill the "promise" of the packaging. The very short review demonstrates all that you need to know for these toys, like that if ever you see them at a dollar store, you'll know what you are in for. Enjoy!

The one Transformers One Prime Changer we had yet to post a review of was Alpha Trion. We have one now which you can see below. The toy has been released in the US at some stores while it is available to order on Amazon.ca for $29.99 CAD.
The review below shows that he is comparable in size to modern day deluxes, as well as deluxes from the beast era, 30 years ago, and shares a lot in common with that era. Enjoy!

The first half of the 2024 box office has been incredibly underwhelming for the movie industry. Films could not even crack the 100M mark domestically for their opening week/weekend. However, with the summer season came two big hits and they both happen to be animated films.
We have Inside Out 2 from Disney and Despicable me 4 from Universal and both have been strong right out of the gate, with Inside Out 2 on its way to become the highest grossing animated (looking) film in history, and inside out 2 being on par with previous opening in its own franchise, showing that it has yet to reach franchise fatigue. None of these films were events, their advantage was simply that they were family oriented films of well known current brands/characters/franchises. They are also helped by their release schedule, where school is out and theatre chains show movies all through the week during the day, creating an easy air conditioned outing for families and daycares/daycamps.
Now, I mention all this just to show that in times where Hollywood is unsure what movies can be successes, big Animated films seem to be the way to go. And the next big animated film is none other than Transformers One, which is getting mentioned during analyses of the current box office landscape (an example of such time can be seen in the Youtube video below). Like with Inside Out and Despicable Me, Transformers is a well known brand that is still current and well known by kids and families (unlike, say, Garfield). The continued success of the Despicable Me / Minions franchise also proves that humor can be very marketable to those same groups, which was an element of the first Transformers One trailer heavily criticized by older fans online. All these points show that Paramount and Hasbro may have read the market correctly when choosing to go the animated route for their next big Transformers film.
Another point to consider is that both Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me are out concurrently and both are making money, even though they attract the same market. This proves that there is enough interest (and wealth) from families that two animated films can prosper and one won't take business from the other (at least not to a significant degree). That point is extremely important for Transformers One since it will be "competing" with the Wild Robot on its second week-end at the box office.
The biggest difference between Transformers One and Inside Out / Despicable Me, however, is the season it's releasing. By being in the fall, when school begins, there are no family outings during week-days and week-ends become busier for families. To take full advantage of the shifting movie market, the film should have released in August, as no other animated movie opens that month and it could have taken advantage of summer vacation.
So, to recap, what works in it's favor when looking at the current box office landscape is:
- targeting families (the most successful movie market of 2024) with animation and humor
- being a well known current franchise
What might work against it:
- release date during school year
We'll see how much the box office for Transformers One differs from Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 when September rolls around. It is currently slated for a September 20 release date in the US and other markets, though it is not opening everywhere on the globe concurrently.

The Transformers One marketing campaign is going into overdrive. We had the film's presence at the Kid Choice Awards and now we can view the transformation scene clip on its own. We also now have a TV Spot for the film found on Twitter. It gives us the best look yet at Megatron's tank mode, which was the one alt mode not seen properly in the debut trailer. Both clips/links can be seen below.

Canadian dollar stores have new Transformers Squeezelings toys. They are under the authentics brand and sport Evergreen artwork. However, the Megatron in the set is based on his G1 gun look as opposed to his evergreen tank look. These are soft plastic non transforming and poorly painted toys, which are priced at $4.50 Cad. We do get some new artwork for Cheetor though. You can see all the toys and srtwork below.
