Things have been quiet for the last few months from the Auto Assembly camp, but with the start of a new year it's time for us to make our mark with a barrage of big announcements to take us into 2011 and beyond...
While many of you are now starting to make your initial plans about attending one or more of the Transformers conventions that is taking place this year (and we hope that Auto Assembly is one of them), we are proud to be able to announce that we have been working overtime to be able to announce a massive update to our guest line-up for Auto Assembly 2011...
But that's not all. While many of you are still thinking about 2011, we are pleased to announce that we have confirmed the first details for Auto Assembly 2012 and we believe that we are the first Transformers convention to do so! You can find details of the date, venue and much more on our latest news update on Youtube here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASn1s5cE0ks
The video also has the full updates on Auto Assembly 2011 and this is one video you do NOT want to miss!!
For those of you who have already booked for Auto Assembly 2011, we are working through a backlog at the moment and emails that we are trying to deal with which we hope to have sorted shortly. Our committee head has had to deal with a number of unexpected personal issues over the last few months including losing his job which has meant that Auto Assembly has had to take a back seat for a short while but things are starting to return to normal for us now.
As part of this, we are still running behind with despatching the AA2010 Non-Attendee Packages. These should be shipping in a couple of weeks once we have finalised the original sketches that will be part of these.
Anyway, for those of you who want to attend Auto Assembly 2011, tickets are available now from our website. Ticket prices are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. One day tickets are available for the Saturday or Sunday (although these will NOT get you into the Friday or Saturday evening programmes) and these cost £30 for adults, £21 for children, students or senior citizens and under 5's as always are free. Family tickets will be available shortly.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England. Tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 will go on sale later this year.
For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk
We hope to see you all in August!

We've had another couple of quiet months publicly for Auto Assembly, but as ever, we've been working frantically to make 2011 our biggest ever convention and we're ready to unveil our latest serious of announcements...
We've got loads of things to announce and update all of you with on Europe's largest Transformers convention including an announcement on two more guests making an appearance this year, an update on a great panel that we'll be organising and another update and surprise about Auto Assembly 2012...
Rather than tell you all here, you can see all of them announced here in our latest new video on our Youtube Channel here:-
And that's not all... we're having a bit of a video frenzy on Youtube this week! We've uploaded more footage from last year's convention and for those of you who weren't there, or if you want to see some of Saturday night's programme, you can now see our Cosplay Competition in it's entirety right here:-
We're going to be uploading some more exclusive footage shortly including Garry Chalk's concert and the latest of our superb script reading sessions featuring Garry Chalk, Scott McNeil and comic artist Nick Roche!
We're doing a lot more work on the convention at the moment as well and our Committee Head Simon is making inroads into catching up on all the paperwork following all of the personal issues he has had to deal with over the last 8 months and as well as working on some great stuff for Auto Assembly 2011 that we'll be announcing soon, we have some fantastic plans ahead for Auto Assembly 2012 and beyond and you can expect to hear more from us on these shortly...
You will have noticed that our website hasn't been updated for some time and this has been a direct result of Simon's personal circumstances, but the site has just undergone a major content update as well and you'll find all the latest news and updates on the convention there, including our new promo poster / flyer which you can download.
Finally, if you have booked for Auto Assembly 2011 and still waiting for your confirmation emails, we are processing the final batch of these and they should be issued shortly. Please check your spam box as well as your inbox as we are aware that some mail addresses (most notably hotmail and yahoo) do have some problems receiving email from us.
We are also trying to finalise the despatching of the AA2010 Non-Attendee Packages. The delay of these has been frustrating for us this time around and has been out of our control. We are looking to see if we can include extra items for everyone who has placed orders for them, but it is our intention to ship these in the next 3-4 weeks at the latest.

The Transformers community is now fully entrenched into its annual convention season and now that everyone has had time to recover from Botcon, it's time for us here at Auto Assembly to shift gears as we head into the final stretch for this year's convention...
We have already announced our first nine guests but we are now proud to announce that legendary Marvel UK, Dreamwave and IDW artist Andrew Wildman will be joining us for his seventh Auto Assembly appearance. Andrew will be around all weekend meeting fans and signing autographs and will take to the stage on Saturday alongside all of our other comic guests as part of a stunning comic panel.
Andrew has a superb pedigree in the Transformers world, having worked on the original Transformers series for Marvel UK, the Generation 2 series for Marvel US, Dreamwave, Panini, Titan, and IDW. As well as this, he has worked on countless other titles and in the video game industry as well as his own forthcoming project, Horizon which can be found at http://www.indiegogo.com/horizon
Andrew is joining our extensive guest line-up which already includes David Kaye, Gregg Berger, Simon Furman, Nick Roche, Simon Williams, Liam Shalloo, Kris Carter, Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson. But that's not all... in the next few days we will be announcing our THIRD guest of honour and we have two more guests to announce after that, but who are they?
We're now about to enter our "rush" period for ticket sales for the convention, where most of our ticket sales take place so if you haven't already registered for Auto Assembly 2011 then NOW is the time to do it!! Tickets are available from our website and are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. One day tickets are available for the Saturday or Sunday (although these will NOT get you into the Friday or Saturday evening programmes) and these cost £30 for adults, £21 for children, students or senior citizens and under 5's as always are free. Family tickets are also available.
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England.

David Wise To Attend Auto Assembly 2011!
With just two months to go before Europe's largest Transformers convention, Auto Assembly, you may be lulled into thinking that all of the preparations are coming to a close and that we have made all of our major announcements. Well think again!
We are now proud to announce that we are being joined at the convention by our third guest of honour, none other than G1 script writer David Wise! David was responsible for writing more episodes of the original television series than any other writer and wrote episodes including War Dawn, The Rebirth, Kremzeek, The Girl Who Loved Powerglide and many others. In addition, he has also worked on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek and countless other shows. David will be with us for the whole weekend signing autographs and will take to the stage on Sunday afternoon to answer your questions. He will also be involved in some other events during the weekend which we will be announcing shortly.
For more information on David's appearance, and to hear a message from the man himself, check out our official announcement video on youtube here:-
David's appearance has been made possible thanks to an incredibly generous sponsorship package from UK dealer Toyz And Gamez. They have worked with us previously on our 2010 exclusive variant cover of IDW's Transformers Issue 9 (copies of which are still available through their website at http://www.toyzandgamez.co.uk) and we can't thank them enough for making David's Auto Assembly debut possible.
David joins our growing line-up of eleven guests which includes eight comic guests including Simon Furman, Nick Roche and Andrew Wildman and our other guests of honour - Gregg Berger and David Kaye who recorded this special message for us the other day about their appearance at the event:-
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at http://www.autoassembly.org.uk

At Auto Assembly 2010, we were joined by Nick Roche and James Roberts who took to the stage for a special Q&A Panel dedicated to The Last Stand Of The Wreckers and their future work on Transformers. Now, to celebrate our announcement over the weekend of the return of James Roberts to Auto Assembly, we are proud to present this Panel IN FULL on our Youtube channel for all of you to enjoy...
For those of you planning on attending the convention this year, or for those of you who are still undecided, this is a great way to get a teaser of what you can expect this year from some of our guests, especially with the upcoming work from both Nick and James on some of IDW's titles and James' work leading into the Chaos storyline in August.
Anyway, you can watch the full panel on our Youtube channel here:- http://youtu.be/4yOhCSMh6R8
But that's not all...
A surprise hit at Auto Assembly 2010, we are proud to announce that we are bringing the Fan Sales Table back to Auto Assembly 2011 but better than ever. If you have any unwanted Transformers that you want to sell but are tired of spending hours listing them on ebay, then this is for you...
Once again, we'll have this sales table set up for all attendees to bring their unwanted toys, comics and other TF and non-TF items to be sold on their behalf all weekend. Just drop them off, name your selling price, and let us do the rest! All we ask for is a small 10% commission which goes towards the convention funds and that's it! There's no minimum or maximum limit to the number of items you can bring to sell and you can collect your money or unsold items at any time during the convention.
Last year we had an incredible range of items - G1, Animated, Cybertron, BinalTech, Beast Wars, and loads more and plenty of DVDs, comics, books, video games... something for everyone. We already have some items confirmed for the table with more being added daily and you can get your items pre-listed now by visiting the Auto Assembly website and downloading the list and information pack. More items are being added daily and we expect to have several hundred items in stock over the weekend.

Auto Assembly 2011 is just 32 days away and as the excitement grows many of you are making last minute preparations for your trip to Birmingham for the convention...
However, as always, a large number of you still haven't bought tickets for the event yet. As seems to be the trend with Auto Assembly over the last few years, 25%-30% of the tickets sold for the convention are done in the last 4-6 weeks and this year is no exception!
Many people have emailed us asking what the closing date is for bookings this year. As many of you know, we are not sending out passes this year. Instead, we are running a pass pick-up system at the convention itself for all attendees, staggered to ensure that everyone gets their passes and goodie bags quickly and effectively and can get into the convention when it opens properly as fast as possible. All you will need to do is bring a printout of your booking confirmation email with you to the convention - it's that simple!
Because of this, we can accept bookings later than ever this year. We will have our full PC suite and pass production equipment with us at the convention and while we are departing for the hotel a few days before the event, we will still have full internet access so we will able to accept and process bookings right up until the evening of Wednesday 10th August 2011!! Bookings MUST be received by no later than 10:00 pm GMT and be paid for by PayPal using your credit/debit card or PayPal balance. For bookings made this late, we can not accept payments made by echeques.
As soon as we receive your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket number and you will need to bring this along to the convention with you so you can collect your pass and goodie bag. Details of pass pick up times will be made available online shortly, as will our convention information pack.
This year, we are being joined by no less than 13 guests from the world of Transformers including three guests of honour - David Kaye, Gregg Berger and David Wise, and some of the top British comic talent out there - Simon Furman, Nick Roche, James Roberts, Andrew Wildman, Geoff Senior and many more!
We have all the usual dealers tables, guest talks, free autograph sessions, rare toy displays, a massive video games area, free workshops, a fan sales table where you can sell your unwanted toys and merchandise, and much more, with a few more surprises to be announced soon...
The convention is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk

Auto Assembly 2011 is doing something brand new this year and giving fans the chance to be the stars of online videos seen all over the world just by talking about your interest in Transformers and science fiction / fantasy...
The filmmakers behind new British comedy film "Pulp" are offering you the chance to get involved in this great new series of online videos at Auto Assembly 2011 all weekend. "Pulp" is the story of struggling comic book writer Tony Leary, who becomes embroiled in a dastardly plot by nefarious geordie criminals and an alien bear. Aided by his geek dream team; Rick and Keith, Tony must embark upon a journey which takes him to the very edge of reality... And Birmingham.
As part of the publicity drive for the film; the filmmakers are holding a series of interviews with Sci-Fi and film fans. Like Descartes, Plato, Hume, Mulder from ‘The X Files’ and Dr Mark Sloan from "Diagnosis Murder" – Pulp is constantly searching for answers to the most fundamental mysteries of the Universe. Questions such as "Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman?", "Who is the better captain, Kirk or Picard" and "Is Inception any good?".
Pulp cannot hope to get to the heart of these pressing issues alone, so we have recruit the finest minds on Earth to share their views with us... Some people take it more seriously than others...

The interviews will be broadcast online across over 20,000 websites through AOL's channel. So if you fancy some pulping, come along!

With just FOUR WEEKS until Auto Assembly 2011 things are stepping up a gear again! We said we still had some big announcements to make and some surprises up our sleeves for all of you regarding the convention, and here's the first...
We are pleased to announce that Titan Books, publishers of the UK Transformers comic, has come on board as an official sponsor of this year's convention. Titan have very generously supplied us with an astonishing 650 copies of their UK comic for us to give away to attendees this year as part of the goodie bag! That's not all though... in conjunction with their sister company, Forbidden Planet, Titan have also been a great help by giving us the bags themselves for all the bundles of gifts that you will all receive.
But that's not all! They have also donated TEN copies of the Dark Of The Moon movie adaptation novel written by Peter David. To be in with a chance of winning one of these, all you need to do is pre-register for the convention! Ten lucky winners will be chosen at random and when you collect your passes and convention packs on the day, ten of you will find a winning ticket hidden in your packs. Just take these along to our Control Desk and exchange them for your prize so remember to check your packs carefully! Please note that ALL prizes mush be claimed by the end of the Sunday afternoon!
We can't thank Titan enough for their support and generosity with this fantastic package which is worth almost £1,700! If you want a goodie bag with one of these comics in, you need to be amongst the first 650 people to attend the convention, and you MUST pre-register if you want to be in with a chance of winning the novel... and there will be MORE pre-registrant draws announced soon!!
Auto Assembly 2011 is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. For more details on the convention, to see a full list of all the guests and activities taking place over the weekend, or to book your tickets, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk
We hope to see you all in August!

We're in the last couple of weeks before Auto Assembly 2011 and currently putting this year's edition of The Cybertronian Times to bed. It's shaping up to be another cracking edition, in a similar vein to last year's sell-out edition and we can't wait to let you see it on the day, although we aren't going to be stopping with that and sitting back and relaxing, oh no! There are times when a year's gap between Auto Assembly and new editions of The Cybertronian Times is a bit too long. With that in mind we are putting together a new ongoing fanzine to help tide you over in those months where AA seems just too far away, so later this year we will be launching CT Alpha, an ongoing companion to The Cybertronian Times...
So why tell us now you ask? The answer is fairly straightforward... Instead of just churning something out, we'd like to offer you the chance to help shape the look and feel of the magazine. So at 11:30 am on Sunday 14th August 2011 we will be holding an open forum for you to come along and do just that at Auto Assembly 2011! We'll be discussing the fanzine, and getting your feedback and some of your ideas and if anyone is interested in contributing then they can let us know. Now we know there is lots already taking place at the convention, and and we have a fairly packed event so if you can't make it and still want to pass on your ideas to us, we'll have contact information available on the day for you.
Now there will be all sorts of questions going through your heads right now, mostly about how often it will come out, how many pages and how much is this going to cost me? We are going to have to be coy about some of these details for the time being and more will be revealed at the discussion itself. However, what we can tell you just now, aside from a promise that each issue will have more than 16 pages in it is that the first issue of CT Alpha will be released on 19th September 2011 and will be absolutely free. That's right - FREE!
We are looking forward to seeing you there at the discussion forum at Auto Assembly 2011, and sharing some great ideas with you.

f you haven't already pre-registered, it's time to hurry up! Pre-registration for Auto Assembly 2011 closes in just THREE WEEKS at 10:00 pm GMT on Wednesday 10th August 2011!
The convention is fast approaching and if you want to get a personalised name badge and have some of the better, more limited free gifts in your goodie bag, as well as earlier admission to the convention, then you need to book your tickets online as soon as possible. We will have tickets available on the day for one day and full weekend passes, but as you will need to complete registration forms when you arrive, these will take longer for you to get into the convention.
Passes won't be sent out in advance of the convention this year. Instead we will be making them available for all of you to pick up at the convention in a series of designated pick up times starting from noon on Friday and continuing on Saturday and Sunday allowing for those of you who can only make in on those days and for single day attendees so even if you can't book until a few days before, you will still have a pass waiting for you to collect along with your bag of free gifts!

Only 19 days to go before Europe's biggest Transformers convention takes place once again, but we're still hitting hard and fast with even more great news and announcements about Auto Assembly 2011. We're now pleased to announce that our guest line-up has grown to mammoth proportions...
We are now being joined by comic colourist John Paul Bove who will be making his Auto Assembly debut this year and making a staggering 15 guests! John Paul has worked for IDW and Marvel and has worked on the New York Comic Con variant cover of Transformers Issue 12 alongside Casey Coller, copies of which will be on sale at Auto Assembly 2011 on the 3 Darth's Comic table, who have generously sponsored his appearance at the convention.
John Paul will be on the 3 Darths table to sign autographs and colour sketches for fans throughout the weekend, and will join our other comic guests on stage for the Q&A session on Saturday.

Every year Auto Assembly has a charity auction and raffle to raise money for a number of good causes and Auto Assembly 2011 is no exception. This time, it is raising money for three different charities and hopes to beat last year's record-breaking £2,200 and we are convinced that our great charity auction will help us to do just that...
We will be holding two charity auctions over the course of the weekend, each one hosted by our guest auctioneers - David Kaye and Gregg Berger - and feature some fantastic items. These include signed photos of Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Shia La Boeuf, Rosie Huntington Whitely, Corey Burton and original Comic artwork from artists such as Casey Coller and IDW artist-of-the-moment, Andrew Griffith!
You can download a full list from the convention website right now!
We have also just uploaded our latest video to youtube which has an update on some of this year's competitions, our workshops, and a recap on some of the guests attending the convention this year as well as two rather special prize draws for those of you who have pre-booked for the convention...
You can find this latest video on our youtube channel here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV2_TMEtKaM
Don't forget that bookings for the convention close in just 14 days and after then you'll have to come along and pay on the door!

Marvel UK were renowned for producing some of the best Transformers comics ever written, thanks to the talents of Simon Furman. One of the most notable stories he produced during the comic's incredible 332 issue run was "Target 2006" which was set immediately after Transformers: The Movie and Auto Assembly 2011 is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this landmark comic...
As you know, the convention is running from 12th - 14th August 2011 and usually the Friday night is an informal get-together to get everyone in the relaxed mood for the main convention, with videos and one or two other fun activities. However, this year we are having our first ever Friday night guest panel! Taking to the stage will be Simon Furman and artist Geoff Senior to talk about their work on Target 2006 in a special discussion hosted by IDW artist/writer Nick Roche who worked on the covers for the IDW re-prints of these monumental books!
It will take place on the Friday evening of the convention but, as always, the Friday evening programme is EXCLUSIVELY for those fans who have purchased a weekend pass for the convention! This is going to be a fascinating insight into a remarkable comic book and is something you won't want to miss!
Finally, we have just released our latest news update video to our official Youtube Channel. It has details and updates on all of competitions taking place over the weekend, information on the charities that we are raising money for this year and a bit of information about Auto Assembly 2012 as well. Check out the video here:-

We're just 11 days away from Auto Assembly 2011 but we're not finished with our big announcements yet...!
We are proud to announce that we are continuing to develop our relationship with Hasbro UK and once again they will be having a display at the convention this year showcasing some of the latest Transformers available. We still have more big announcements to come and the clock is ticking away now for you to hurry and pre-register to guarantee your place at Europe's Largest Transformers Convention! Pre-booking will get you earlier admission to the event, a better chance for more free gifts in your goodie bag, and you'll be automatically entered into two free prize draws, one of which is to win autographs from various Transformers actors including Peter Cullen and Shia La Boeuf!
If you're not able to join us this year, don't forget that bookings are open now for Auto Assembly 2012 taking place over the weekend of 3rd - 5th August 2012. Tickets are selling at an astonishing rate with almost 40 sold in the first week!

The upcoming Transformers Universe MMO is on course to be one of the most eagerly awaited Transformers games EVER. The online MMO will be giving players the chance to take charge of a brand new self-created Autobot or Decepticon and play against thousands of other players across the globe!
The game is being created by Jagex, the British developers who are responsible for Runescape which is the world's most popular free-to-play MMOG and over 40 other online titles.
Jagex will be at Auto Assembly 2011 and will be taking to the stage for a presentation on the game and for a Q&A Session on the Saturday afternoon which promises to be one of the hits of the convention, where they will be revealing some new information about the game EXCLUSIVELY to Auto Assembly attendees!
That's not all though, we can also now reveal that we are being joined by our SIXTEENTH guest! A late addition to our already stunning line-up is Marvel G1 artist and inker Stephen Baskerville who will be making his Auto Assembly debut this year. He will be taking to the stage as part of our revised comic panel on Saturday afternoon joining Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman to talk about Transformers #81...

With less than a week to go before the Transformers event of the year, it’s decision time - are you going to join us in giving a thunderous farewell to the Holiday Inn, in it’s final year as AA central?
We’ve done all we can to persuade you – we’ve told you about our room full of Transformers dealers, our guest panels, exclusive giveaways, our unveiling of new and never before seen video game information from Jagex... we’ve even told you that Hasbro will be in attendance this year to add a final shine to what is certainly going to be the biggest and most phenomenal event we have ever hosted.
But still, with just four days until pre-registration closes, some of you are undecided... so how about, rather than taking our word you listen to what some of our friends have got to say about us... and my, do we have friends in high places!
Firstly, we have a special Auto Assembly 2011 message from Optimus Primal himself, Mr Garry Chalk!
http://video.ak.fbcdn.net/cfs-ak-ash4/2 ... 652bd7b896
And not to be outdone, with the appliance of science we are able to bring you this special presentation put together for you all by Mr Paul Eiding himself - the voice of Generation 1 Perceptor.
Also... who remembers these special messages from last year?
Friends, your heroes have spoken! Come to Auto Assembly 2011! And let’s break that European attendance record one more time! If you can't make it this year, don't forget you can book NOW for Auto Assembly 2012 and beat the rush!

The print is very similar to a splash page in the books, but does not reveal the final results of the story. Plus its a year old, has a TPB out, and has had numerous new stuff compared to it.
So the spoilers alert is a bit unrightfully claimed. It's mainly just a really cool print of Overlord, probably something Nick did in his sketchbook for the series, and then decided to finish.

Hi everyone,
In light of the recent, saddening news coming from various cities around the UK, the Auto Assembly Committee has been flooded with questions, as you might imagine. Our response has been purposefully delayed and carefully considered - we are sure you will understand that we are faced with a unique situation and we wanted to take the opportunity to consider every possible eventuality.
To anybody who doesn’t know, there have been reports of isolated pockets of civil unrest in Birmingham. West Midlands Police have confirmed they will have a very large Police presence on the streets tonight to ensure that they continue to calm the situation. Like everybody in the UK right now, we are thankful for the great job that the Officers are doing at present in such difficult circumstances.
Nevertheless, we are pleased to announce that as things stand, Auto Assembly 2011 will go ahead as planned... and friends...it is going to rock! As the song goes, “Nothing’s gonna stand in our way, not tonight!”
Now, we are keeping a constant eye on the news and on official Police press releases so, if this situation changes we promise we will make an announcement the second we find out. But rest assured, we have no intentions whatsoever of cancelling Europe’s biggest and best Transformers convention unless we are presented with absolutely no alternative. The show, as they say, must go on!
However - it is of the utmost importance that all our convention goers please bear a few things in mind to ensure that we all have a fantastic and most importantly, a safe convention this weekend.
1. Auto Assembly 2011 is still ON
2. Allow extra travelling time to and from the convention
3. Don't go out of the hotel alone. Try to stay in groups for safety.
4. Don't go out of the hotel after dark on your own
5. Keep valuables safe at all times
6. Be vigilant
7. Please look out for each other and be safe.
As we say, if for any reason the situation changes we will inform you as soon as we can, but at present Auto Assembly 2011 is ON!!!! We just need to take extra care in looking after each other this year Transformers fans.
Finally, remember that for those of you arriving in Birmingham one or two days early, you can pick up your passes on Thursday afternoon between 2:00 and 4:00 pm which will make your admission to the convention Much easier. Trish and Simon will be in the hotel bar on the second floor to do this but you must contact us in advance to let us know.
Anyway, we're looking forward to seeing you all in a few days.

Naturally, we know that many of you are still concerned about events in Birmingham but we wanted to reassure you about what is happening and keep you up to date about what we are doing to ensure the convention continues as smoothly as possible.
First, some of you may have heard that coaches to Birmingham have been cancelled. As far as we have heard, Digbeth Coach Station has been temporarily closed but coaches are being diverted to Edgbaston which is approximately 1 miles outside of the city centre so this will just be a short taxi ride to the convention hotel. As there are still a few days to the convention, we believe that there is still time for the station to re-open.
Secondly, while there were still incidents last night, they were significantly reduced following the increased police presence in the city centre. Last night over 500 police officers were in the centre and did a fantastic job containing the violence and disruptions and keeping this to a minimum.
For those of you coming to the convention this weekend, don't forget that we have an active Event Page on Facebook that you can join:- http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141185125921522 . We are leaving to head off to the convention at noon today but we will still be posting updates throughout the day on Facebook and leading right up to the convention and other attendees will post details of travel share plans and general discussions of incidents that they may find out in relation to the convention. To allay any concerns that you may have regarding part of the content of the convention this year, both David Kaye and David Wise are already in the UK and Gregg Berger is leaving the US today to arrive tomorrow morning so all our guests of honour will be in the UK by tomorrow morning!
Just remember guys... "Nothing's going to stand in our way!". We're very close to setting a NEW European attendance record and with YOUR help, we are determined to make this the BEST convention we have ever held!
People are already looking at making car share or travel share plans, arrangements to travel to hotels together or in groups for those not staying in the convention hotel so we are making every effort to cover ever eventuality this year.

Some idiot ran around with a gun in London (a city that had too much experience with terrorists and weapons) and pointed it at people and the police, so the police shot him.
Now the stupid kids held a demonstration to "protest against the evil police" and started rioting, and then used it as an excuse to go looting and destroying stuff and lives. But it's mostly about the looting and destroying.

Today is the first day of Auto Assembly's Twelve Days Of Christmas campaign that we will be running between now and the 24th of December where we will be making loads of announcements about next year's convention and bringing you plenty of great new videos for our Youtube Channel, and to celebrate the release of the first of these announcements later today, we're proud to be able to bring you a special pre-Christmas sale on tickets for Auto Assembly 2012...
That's right, for the first time ever, we're joining in with the festive spirit started by our friends at Savcon with their Black Friday sale, and offering our full weekend Adult tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 at the specially reduced price of £35 - a massive saving of £10 off the normal price but this is for a limited time only! To take advantage of this great saving of over 20% you must book your tickets online and before midnight on Christmas Eve!
If you've never been to Auto Assembly before, this may well be the perfect incentive for you to make the decision to come and join us! With everything that we have planned for the convention taking place in the Summer of 2012, we know that it's going to be our biggest and best ever convention and with our move to our new venue - the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel - we have the capacity to offer you all much more than ever!
The ticket price will include full access to the convention all weekend including the Saturday night programme, all of the workshops, a copy of our convention magazine, a convention exclusive comic, and a goodie bag packed with free gifts! Not sure if you can afford to make it to the convention? Well, Auto Assembly isn't as expensive as you might think...
Not only are the ticket prices reduced for this limited period, but hotel rates for Auto Assembly 2012 are at the lowest ever! Despite the Hilton being a stunning four-star hotel, the convention rate for bedrooms are just £50 a night for a single and £60 for a twin or double inclusive of breakfast! The hotel has 700 parking spaces in it's own on-site car park for those of you travelling by car and is on the site on Birmingham International rail station and if you book train tickets in advance you can make great savings on your rail journey!
For those of you travelling from outside of the UK, the convention hotel is located adjacent to Birmingham International Airport and if you are travelling to any other airport in the UK, there are fantastic rail links to Birmingham so you are only a short train ride away! As Auto Assembly is taking place in August, we're deep into the school holidays making it easier for families to attend, and for those of you planning a holiday, we're running at the same time as the 2012 Summer Olympics so you can join in the Olympic atmosphere while you're with us!
We already have a great line-up of guests including voice actors Michael Bell and Townsend Coleman, and a range of comic talent including Simon Furman and James Roberts and we'll be announcing at least three more guests (including our third voice actor) during December!
To book your tickets or to find out more, visit the website at www.autoassembly.org.uk
If you are interested in attending next year as a dealer, or are interested in sponsoring the convention in any way, please email us at autoassembly@aol.com
