We're talking G1, not Animated. Different universe completely. Ever watched Beast Machines? It's -that- Strika.
Jelze put it quite succinctly. "As BM Thrust said to her, if you're loyal to everyone, you're loyal to nobody." Strika and Obsidian dedicated their lives to protecting Cybertron, not to any one faction. They simply sided with whatever side had the best interests of the planet as a whole in mind. Obviously, that means Autobots/Maximals pre and post-Beast Machines, and Vehicons during BM.

That's not his point. He means after watching Animated, he finds it hard to picture Strika as a good guy gal. Kind of like after the movies, I find it hard to picture an Autobot team without Bumblebee. That doesn't merit a "have you ever watched Armada."
In other words, no kidding we're talking G1. His post proves that he couldn't care less.

Seriously - what's all this 'Strika Tank Mode... REVEALED!!!!' nonsense? Like we didn't know that the alt mode was going to look exactly like Warpath, only with different colors?

*shrug* It's a different continuity. I guess I just don't have any issues separating apples and oranges. They're two entirely different characters with similar names and designs (and perhaps personalities, I've never bothered much with Animated, can't stand the designs), and that's about where it ends in my head.

Right. Beast Machines is part of G1.
Beast Wars' characters are from the future, after the events of G1, and then they get stuck in the past before the events of G1. Did you watch "The Agenda," when they visit the Ark and there's a bunch of references to what happened in G1, like how they'll wake up in 1984.
And Beast Machines is the sequel to Beast Wars. You could make the connection now.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Last I checked, there wasn't much emphasis on "Revealed".
Maybe some of us didn't know exactly how she would look like in vehicle mode. It's just like getting images of another repaint (using IDW Megatron for a possible Dreadwing, for example).

We couldn't see Strika's Autobot symbol from her robot mode. The tank revealed that. Take that as a reason we should have seen her tank mode.

Mmm. Sarcasm against sarcasm is entertaining indeed.

Depends on what you mean by G1. The name originally referred only to the toys produced between 84 and 91 (the "first generation" of figures), and not the fiction. Under that interpretation Strika is definitely not G1.
However, Beast Wars and G1 do exist in the same continuity (*if* you are talking about the Sunbow Cartoon). So, Strika is not a G1 figure, but she does exist in *some* G1 continuities.

That's odd, I have always associated the term "G1" to both the original toyline and the timeline set in the sunbow cartoon.
I see what you are saying though, your separating them by toyline, like how armada is a separate toyline/story from energon, but both occur in the same continuity.
Strika was in the g1 cartoon briefly though. She was a very...ahem...bulky lass, but more pink.

Wait, when was it confirmed that this was retconed into G1 Strika? I've only seen it as fan justification with no real word either way.

BM Stika wasn't pink, she was dark purple:Rated X wrote:Beast Machines isnt G1 and this figure isnt pink.

The wings Universe text story "Flames of Yesterday" did the retcon (and the teal bot next to her was made into Glyph).Mkall wrote:Wait, when was it confirmed that this was retconed into G1 Strika? I've only seen it as fan justification with no real word either way.
But, this is the first that I've heard of it ever being fan speculation. Did that originate from the ATT days?
