I don't know who bought what or anything like that because I was too busy enjoying myself. That small disclaimer out of the way, I have to say something else: if true, this is not the minor conspiracy theory it reads as. Literally anyone at the show, come Saturday morning, could have bought any quantity of anything at the club store. I could have walked up and bought all the Under-3 figures, or Reflectors, or Megatrons if early enough. There was no purposeful "let's sell this unsold stock to a dealer" strategy.Phill_D wrote:I guess with it being their last year, they wanted guaranteed sales over stock sitting unsold.
If they have sold them to BBTS then unsold stock is BBTS' concern not Fun Pub's.

But still, these are simply gorgeous. And fantastically commemorate the past Fun Pub fiction of Animated, Beast Wars: Uprising, Classics/Shattered Glass, and TransTech.

Dr Va'al doesn't have a beard
Posted by Va'al on April 16th, 2016 @ 6:12am CDT
Counterpunch establishes his rule over ScottyP. xRotorstormx cannot afford knees on her trousers because of toys. Razorclaw000 is just really happy to be there. Starscream's forehead is protected from sunlight. Megatronus looks happy, but is planning how to kill us all. You probably know the other two.
You wouldn't fancy me otherwise.

No, you're making this very hard! Even Va'als nice little caption naming everyone didn't work that well since Rotorstorm is the only one I really got

Alright, so this gives me no ideas whatsoever. I know the one on the left is Seibs, but I don't know the right.

Yup. And you can re-read the story write-up for more clues on Megatronus. The selfieless barstand.

Been checking u-tube and whatnot myself, couldn't find anything so far.
Managed to buy the set online and of course I looked up some images online first before I bought it, watching an actual review is part of the HYPE that comes with waiting for my package to arrive!
ty for reading

Normally with new toys like these, people are rushing to be the first person to post a review.

Indeed, in the years before this one there were reviews made and posted up from hotel rooms during the event. I did find one featuring Terrorsaur and Tarantulas, so that's a plus at least.

What brand or what type of clear nail polish do people use to protect chromed parts? I haven't opened TM3 Megatron yet, but touching up, polishing, and sealing the chrome is the first thing I want to do when I remove him from his bag.

I thought floor polish would be better for that, almost creating a wax like layer on a car. Couldn't it be polished as well in the long run with a microfiber cloth?megatronus wrote:Random but related question:

For me sealing his the most important part - I don't want any chips or flakes on such an expensive/sought after/objectively awesome piece.
Normally I just polish with a standard eyeglasses microfiber cloth. Don't need a special material for that.
Posted by galvatron00 on April 18th, 2016 @ 9:39am CDT
Would a hobby clear work better? Tamiya is a brand often tossed about. I feel like clear nail polish would be too thick. Just me though, I have no experience protecting the chrome.megatronus wrote:For me sealing his the most important part - I don't want any chips or flakes on such an expensive/sought after/objectively awesome piece.itscramtastic wrote:I thought floor polish would be better for that, almost creating a wax like layer on a car. A couple people have mentioned acrylic floor polish. Tamiya is also a name thrown out there a bunch - I've used their product before, but never clear coat. We shall see...
Thanks Crams!
