They didn't quite get Prime's combo with Jetfire right with the toy, which is a shame, cause it looks MUCH better here.

I can hear two songs playing while I picture this thing:
1. I Can Fly (I don't know the group) and
2. Something from the Batman Begins soundtrack.

If the final render is even remotely like that!

I am just about finished reading the book for this movie (2 Chapeters left) and all I can say without spoiling too much of the story is that This combo of Optimus and Jetfire is not just for aesthetic or something they did just to whoop Devastator's arse...it was done out of necessity.
Think back to the imagery of Prime battling Megatron, Starscream and that other "Blackout-esque" copter in the forest. It was 3 on 1. Now Prime is pretty badass...but even for him - that's a tall order and I'll just leave it at that;) I can't wait for 6/24!
Final things...Demolisher has NOTHING to do with Devastator's makeup! He IS a construction vehicle...but that is as far as the relationship goes. Also for the Audi lovers out there...don't get too attached to Sideways. Sideswipe makes pretty short work of him when he enters the fray!

I never really thought about it before, but Prime wearing Jetfire's corpse is pretty morbid. That is something Hannibal Lecter would do.

To the guys that read the book, can we expect more Decepticon dialogue this time?

You have no idea how understated that is. They didn't even get CLOSE and couldn't have with the toy unless they jacked the price up to the $150.00+ range.(just for Jetfire)
Those pics are just truckloads of awsome. I hope and pray that what we see in the movie is close to this. Anything less at this point is going to be sooooo disappointing.

Unfortunately, no. There's some interaction between Megatron and Starscream (physical and verbal) but otherwise, except for Devastator and Ravage, the Decepticons are pretty much "anonymus henchmen."

I the toy looked this good I would have gladly paid $150.
I just set the combined mode pic as my wallpaper, That picture looks nice! But it needs a better name... Power-up Prime isn't epic enough to describe it.

Can't wait for the movie. I geussed that Jtfire is dead in this mode long before this, and I'm getting that vibe more now.
Honestly, I don't really like Mixmaster though.

When i head there will be a prime and jetfire combo, i was doubtful, but it is absolutely amazing seeing these images, and i am sure will be one of the film highlights!

True but think of the psychological impact of that. Just seeing Prime like that is enough to make any 'Con lube himself but when it FULLY registers that he's encased in a sparkless Jetfire (is that really the case? bummer), that's something even the 'Cons aren't prone to doing. Well, Megatron would in a heartbeat, but the others don't strike me as being that twisted so Prime doing this would just scare the bejeezus out of them. It's worse than the guys in 'Nam stringing earlobes together into a necklace as far as the psyche effect goes.

Actually, it would be something Buffalo Bill would do. He was the one who sewed together dead people's skin and wore it as a bodysuit.

Ed Gein was a sick-o like that too.
Anyway, if that is how the combo is going to look in the movie, then holy crap! Hope it looks half that awesome.

Well, if the movie styicks to the novel version, it will only be Jetfire's wings and thrusters Ratchet will attach to Prime. Nothing else.

Yeah, Jetfire gets killed by a certain Decepticon, and Ratchet uses him for parts, because Prime gets severely damaged as well.
Posted by skids 2.0 on May 29th, 2009 @ 12:21pm CDT
As long as at the end Prime goes back to Normal prime. Do you think prime can still transform when hes connected to Jetfire?
Posted by Shapeshifter75 on May 29th, 2009 @ 12:47pm CDT
Jetfire becomes mortally wounded (by Skorponok). Shortly after Sam revives Prime from stasis lock with the Matrix of leadership (that black "S" shaped dagger thing you see Sam pickup in the trailers), Jetfire hobbles over to him and offers his parts to Prime. Jetfire snuffs out his sputtering spark and Ratchet begins to attach Jetfire's parts to him so he can finish the job against the Fallen's efforts.
Okay...I'm sure someone hates me at this point...gotta go

If the first line indicates spoilers, and you don't want spoilers, then you should probably not read the post.
And as for Jet Prime Holy Crap in a stick that is an awesome robot.

It wasn't specified. In the book, the main purpose of this was so Prime could fly.

the Slayer song "Dead Skin Mask" is based on him, so yes I think so.

So what then is going to happen to Jetfire's parts? Is Prime just going to slough them off since he has defeated the Fallen? Will there never be another use for them? I don't think Prime is that short sighted (Michael Bay might be ). What is all of that kibble going to turn into?

Definitely. Though I think it's the writers' problem, as this happens at the end of the movie it's fine for Bay but if the writers want to write a 3rd film, they'll have to explain if they're keeping Jetfire's parts or not.
