Bah-weep-graaaaagnah wheep nini bong!

Frozen in the Arctic ice, the source of the signal has been identified as a long forgotten Fortress of Cybertronian origin...

Frozen Fortress Event

An ancient Planet-Destroying fortress, buried in the Arctic ice for millennia, has come online. The Autobots aim to secure this fortress and protect it from the Decepticons, who have nefarious plans to ransack the site and get ahold of its secrets.
Fend off the opposition and claim the fortress for yourself to earn Spark, Energon, 3-Star Crystal Shards, Nano-frost boosts and a 4-Star crystal!

New Battle Boost - Nano-frost

With the change in weather comes an icy new battle boost to numb and cut into enemy defenses.

Freeze a building, then destroy the frozen building to shatter it and slow nearby targets for 10 seconds.

Nano-frost Mk1: 8 seconds frozen, slow targets in medium radius for 10 seconds
Nano-frost Mk2: 10 seconds frozen, slow targets in medium radius for 10 seconds
Nano-frost Mk3: 12 seconds frozen, slow targets in large radius for 10 seconds

Anyone else think that the next unit added after Star Saber/Deathsaurus, whoever it is, should be a healer? The lack of them in this game is only getting more frustrating now we've got more squads.
Besides, they need to put in First Aid at some point now they've started doing the Protectobots. Just use him and a random Stunticon and you're set.

Nice haul! I got a Bombshell from my 3 star crystal yesterday. That makes two 3 stars that I don't have at lower levels.

It's not over yet - not long 'till that 4* Crystal~
I love that they were generous with this event; relatively low Prestige for an alliance event and the prize is arguably better than every previous event.

Abilities are nice, but I have Blast Off at every single star level now. Logically speaking it may be more beneficial to have a repeat character at 4 star, but emotionally I'd prefer a new unit to get acquainted with. Ya feel me?

(also I'm still trying to get my 3 star up to par with the rest of my strongest bots, a 4 star of the same guy is going to make things complicated)

I have Blast Off at every star level and I wouldn't trade my 4* for anyone else. Once the HQ15 bases become more common he's going to be needed to take out mortars.

Razorclaw will be lucky to dent the walls.

I thought Starscream was slightly more powerful in exchange for Blast Off being slightly more defensive?

Scored a 3* Starscream and 2* Swindle on the weekend, so I'm happy with that one. 4* Scavenger is currently in the oven for level 31

The Autobots have secured the surface of the Fortress and are now striking for the center, while the Decepticons are making their own significant progress through the ice to reach the middle of the frozen fort before their enemies.

No 4-star shards. The 2,206/2,500 I've had since the first December event is becoming even more painful.

80,000BP completes the event. Even though it's christmas shouldn't be too hard at all.

Oh cool.

I've also just calculated it and if all 100 Prestiges are done - which again, at 80k BP is not too unlikely - that's 2,000 3-star shards. A full 3-star crystal.

So never mind the whole "80K is easy" thing because this is apparently one of those dumb events where you can only get 10 points per battle.

Not that the characters have much personality in this game to begin with (only a handful even get dialog transmissions), but when they do, they stick pretty closely to their classic archetypes. So no religious zealot star saber here.
