Same here.
Now, who to give him to...
I'm actually thinking that he might go best or most interestingly with Prime.

Inferno is a good choice but I have mine with the Gears of War set so he's a little crowded. Maybe classics BB? I could see him making a trip to help humans in need.

I'm farther east than you. It should arrive today or tomorrow for you, though I would have thought it might have arrived already.

Didn't get any second email either though. Still, pure awesome and for a good cause.

I can't say enough good things about FansProject for getting something like this done and motivating people to donate. I can only assume they had other plans for the figure, but to say eff it and do this instead speaks volumes of their integrity.
FansProject supporter for life!

This is kinda dissapointing as I thought for sure I was part of the 1500. Maybe I filled out something wrong?

I wouldn't worry yet. Maybe they didn't ship them all out at the same time. (maybe like waves of 500?)

IDK, I think in this case, everything is coming in East to west unlike the iGear Kup head which is arriving west to east. It's still to early to tell because so far it seems the east coast people are the early birds. I still haven't gotten either of my Kup heads yet.

I got me I-gear heads on Saturday. Someone tried to open my package too. But Kup has his new head now so he's looking like Hannibal from the A-Team.

I'm in Upstate SC. Hoping this shows up tomorrow, if I am to get one at all. Curious, I got the initial email from them on the 18th well before they hit the deadline.
Ah, well. It was for a good cause either way.

I'm TOTALLY speculating, but it seems quite an undertaking to package and mail out 1500 pieces. It's possible they will be sent out in "waves".
Truth be told, the people at Fansproject are just awesome. I have vowed to never miss another of their products.

How about we all donate one more time without the aid of a motivator? Maybe, they thought this would get the ball rolling, and that the fandom (with disposable income and a job) would be willing to keep donating every month by not going on gas guzzling "hunts" and use that gas money on people with no homes, clean clothes, food, or water.
Or maybe I need to find my crazy pills...
If I gotta pull on heart strings then I will, but thanking FansProject's effort without the intention to keep donating, I believe, is counter to their initial intent. Red Cross relieves all disasters... Haiti included along with the earthquake in Argentina, and several efforts in non-glorified areas of the world.
Please continue to help the red cross as there are several people not only in Japan that need ... the pennies we toss into fountains. Or continue to help out the homeless shelters in your area - or the inner cities 30 minutes away from your area. FansProject's message is about them giving their time, effort, talent, and the immeasurable to those whom need it it the most... they may never repay you with gifts or money, but you gotta ask yourself - how much do we really need these things? Imagine saving or aiding a person with the potential to cure cancer, or aids, or something we cant even fathom today. At this point in our history, money is the most relevant purpose of existence; what if today we started to flip that, so that our honor of every persons well being becomes the realization an optimist's dream - being that: the purpose of life is living for and not against each other.
This is what Blesser means to me... I did this selfishly, but I think, strangely, a switch has been flipped.

at 1500 pcs and $15 minimum they raised at least $22,500.
edit: but i know the method i used had a minimum denomination of $20.00, so they made at least $22,505

I want to strangle the people at the post off though. They didn't even put it in the mailbox. It left left lying next to it and got beat up. The only reason I got it was because a nice lady rang my doorbell and said they found it laying on the ground.
The figure is fine, but the card got a couple dings.
Frustration aside, he's a cool little figure and an excellent gift from FP.
I love the the slogan he has. "Life is Priceless!!" Just for that, I think I'll display him with Optimus Prime when I finally get my hands on a Classics Prime.
I'm thinking about going to the hobby shop and picking up some rescue figures. I want a diorama of the card art. At least something like it.

Thats a real shame too man. I just got off eBay and saw some a**hole selling his for seventy dollars. That really makes me sick to think that idiot probably just donated the bare minimum to get his hands on a figure that he knew would sell on the aftermarket. Damn shame if you ask me.

I have seen 1 on ebay as well but the proceeds all went to a donation chairty for the japan releif effort..Now it may be a different auction but At least the 1st guy I saw had the scruples to give the charity winnings tot he red cross..he even went as far as to ask that the auction winner turn around and resell it for the same cause..Kind of smart if you can manage to have someone with a little heart win the auction..In the case of the auction you saw, It's a damn shame...

Playing Devil's advocate this once....
Why is he an a8hole because he sold his blesser. If he donated the bare minimum, unless he broke the law, the sale is legal.
$70 for what it is worth is not exploiting. Trust me. Your TV does it to you everyday. FansProject knew that when people decided to donate they would probably wind up on the'Bay. The only thing they really asked that retailers didn't get in on the action because they knew they would probably donate to get a few to sell in their stores.
Personally If they sold it it's on them. It's in their possession and doesn't make them a bad person at all. Their is so much more ish to pounce on than a seller.
Now The only people who can or might stop the auction(s) is the Red Cross, or FansProject but even so unless it was prohibited to sell, legally you really can't stop it. After all FP stuff holds very high value.
TFsource did it with Shadow Scyther and their still in business, so why give the seller a hard time. Your morals carry no weight in his eyes.
My guess is the inverted Sidearm was to go with Shadow Scyther. Maybe they were originally going to sell it. Maybe they look at Sidearm sales and realized it could be better to just get rid of the figures. Either way if he went through the correct stipulation to get it, then it's all 100% legal.
Sorry I had to say it because I knew the "moral" orels would come out.

Evil_the_Nub wrote:FP asked that no one buy it for reselling purposes. And since it's listed for so much and so soon tells me that his only intention was to make money off it.
It would be up to them to shut the auction down if they choose to. You would also have to contractually agree not to sell the figure. FP implied not to resell it, but they would have to take it that high. The could claim IP with Ebay on that figure alone I suppose to prevent the sale because how it was acquired...but that is the only way.
Mattel did it to me when I listed an auction that detailed the way they handled their Red Line member's way of getting a rewards car back in 2006. They claimed IP, and eBay obliged although the sale was legal. Some of us made up auctions detailing the way Mattel lied about the promotion. It was ugly. Even on the forums paid members lost posting rights because they spoke out. They claimed ip on a .99 because of what we wrote. FP can do the same thing if the auction pops up and not giving the proceeds back to Red Cross.
Other than that most will try to profit, whether it be now, or 5 to 10 years down the line, they will try to profit.

We also need to consider a few things.
1. This figure was already produced and waiting for whatever was in store for it by the time the tsunami hit. It was clearly meant for something else, but that got changed with the tsunami. FP even took the time to create a completely unique card after all was said and done to reflect that he was a rescue time mech.
2. There were 1500 produced. Isn't that the same amount of Shadow Scyther's running around on the net?
I'm not fond of the Blesser figure showing up on ebay so quickly after it's distribution, but what can you do? Nothing except not buy it. I can almost guarantee that those that did not get into the first 1500 are looking at this as a second chance to secure the figure. Problem is the figure to me brings a certain feel to your collection. Mostly because of it's bio card. I don't think it would feel the same to have a bio card that doesn't have your name in your collection.
I'm also fairly certain that Blesser cost got factored into Flameblast and Warcry. Helps outweigh the cost of distributing 1500 figures around the world.

Like I said, they can claim IP with Ebay. That would thwart future reseller sales on Ebay. And Seibs can also thwart sellers from using the Buy/Sell/Trade forums if necessary. Still though like you said people are gonna want it if they weren't lucky enough, and FP can't really stop resellers on Ebay unless they claim FP. Also it wasn't a sale...we really need to see what FP can do to stop resellers.
This makes me think of the time when the Space Shuttle disaster happened in 2003 and eBay sellers were selling debris that fell from the sky from that crash. Yes it did happen and some actually got away with it. It took an hour before eBay and the government had those auctions shut down.
EDIT:
Shadow Scythe was only 600. 300 preorders on TfSource, and 300 available on RobotKingdom. I think they may have probably sold it as an add-on to Shadow scythe, but the colors don't carry any purple, the face is blue. Goes well with Scourge or Flameblast.
