Remember a while back, when some very odd Transformers listings popped up on Amazon? Listings with names like "Transformers Greaser Gang", and the especially odd "Transformers Toilet Troop"?
Well, it looks like Hasbro was in on the odd names from the start. Thanks to a heads up from Scottimus Prime, we saw from Hasbro's official Transformers Instagram story that they are, indeed, up to something.
No word on when we'll find out what those listings mean, but with SDCC around the corner, it's probably safe to say that we'll find out soon. Any guesses as to what they might be?

probably not this. names are too silly. but they did say before they wanted to do a new unicron through the haslabs crowdfunding thing. as for this, the silly names have been making me think of new blind bag mini figures, but silly ones like the gross-ery gang etc. only time will tell

It's ALSO possible that these names are like the preliminary listings for AoE/TLK and therefore the names, themselves, have no meaning. But that seems sliiightly less likely.
ALL OF THAT BEING SAID, here is what I will predict/hope since all bets are off.
Techie Team = UW Computron (hopefully in Hasbro colors. With a special Ed. Prime Master)
Techie Team Hope = See above.
Greaser Gang = Realistically? I dunno. Road Caesar? Maybe a set of Rescue/Engineer Autobot combiner limbs to go with Inferno.
Greaser Gang hope = Titan Master versions of the Autobot Targetmasters. TM-Springer and/or Sandstorm too.
Jock Squad = Duocon Flywheels
Jock Squad hope = Flywheels plus more.
Toilet Troop = Realistically? No idea. Maybe a couple of Junkions. A Voyager and three Deluxes to make a combiner?
Toilet Troop hope = Seacons
This is all over the map. Notably, G2 Defensor is still not one of these, so... That f***ing sucks if we end up getting 4 boxsets and NO G2 Defensor.

Because that's where you put pet fish when they die.
Also, cartoons always put aquatic villains in the sewers.

That's the same background that's been used elsewhere before. I think it's also used in the Earth Wars game for past couple of years.

Quite right Ryan: I've only recently started playing and have seen that background quite often in the last 24hr.
I'm inclined to think it's WfC-related. Just my wishful thinking!

Since WfC is next year's line and these listings have been on Amazon for a while now I doubt it's related.

This second batch is only listed by its initial part of the name, bar one, which lends itself to some severe speculation: "Rescue“, “Battle“, “Airstrike“, “Spy“, “Sports Car“, “Race Car“, and "Off Road Patrol". If those names sound familiar, it's because all but 'Spy' were the names of the Micromaster Patrols from the late 1980s/early 1990s toyline! Check out the listings below, and let us know what your speculation brings you in the Energon Pub discussion boards.

I would prefer that if they hit Micromasters that they make them as larger figures (as tiny cars just don't make sense except for populating city scenes), but the price point seems to indicate they'll stay small.

My thoughts exactly. I was pulling for them to come back, especially after Blackjack. And I hope they're in the new Legends class, though a straight reissue of the G1 figures would be fine as well. As long as the molds are still good.ZeroWolf wrote:So it looks like the rumours about the return of micromasters is being proved slowly. I like micromasters so I approve.

As for the figures themselves, there seem to be listings for a new Megatron, Bumblebee, Soundwave, Jetfire, Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, Prowl, Drift, Barricade, Thundercracker, Drift, Springer and Starscream - though these may in fact all be part of the Cyberverse line, as initially posted here.
Then we have entries for characters names Cog, Sixgun, Crankcase, and Shockwave at what seems to be a leader scale price. With the Battle Masters revealed for War for Cybertron, and more Micromaster team names, might this be the base and sixchangers? Or possible remolds from pre-existing Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, Sixshot?
And finally, we have listings for items called Infantry, Red Lightning, Rockhounds, Greenjackets and Rockducks - around the same price point as the Voyager Siege Optimus Prime from the previous news story, but again, the actual contents are to be determined. Browse through the listings in this story, and join the speculation in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

i have a feeling we will finally have a proper updated release of shockwave in the War for Cyberton line, i hope

This has been on the US Amazon at US$19.99, the new Deluxe MSRP for WFC and SS, for months now. Most likely anything on the list at that price will be from one of those two lines.
I have to wonder if Cog and Sixgun being listed indicate a reissue of Metroplex and Fortress Maximus is also coming?

Australian Dollars. Here's the breakdown of the price points:
AUD 29.88 is Deluxe
AUD 44.82 is Voyager
AUD 74.71 is Leader
AUD 14.93 is Micro Master
AUD 11.93 and AUD 22.40 might be Bumblebee Movie price points, the Legion-like Energon Igniters Speed and Power respectively.
So Starscream is a Voyager yet again.

The figures on display at SDCC corresponded to some of the Product Codes, which tips off certain things. we know Firedrive is an E35xx, so all of the E35s should be the same line. From their its price codes to determine class. and using the titles in the listings to determine whobis what
