I wonder how much it'll go for? A brand new Peterbuilt with a CAT engine is over $250,000....

Incorrect. We just replaced twelve units with new 2008 389's and they were less than half that each.
I'm interested to see if it hits his reserve and what his reserve is set at though. The truck is a 94 with no listing of mileage. That truck could have been easily put together as it is for less than 65k.
Beautiful truck though. Prime had to be a Pete 379. The new 389's just don't have that same classic look.

Ah, I hadn't looked the listing details (not supposed to be on eBay at work) and assumed it was new.
So yeah, a used 94 would be "cheap". He could have just taken a pressure washer to the engine to clean it up. But all that paint and interior work cost him some money - I wonder how much he did himself?

LOL - I see the problem. Someday I'll learn to proof read before click submit. Supposed to be $150,000. I was still wrong with that, but not as wrong.
What engines are in the new ones you just got?
Here are some listings for those that are curious: http://ww2.trucktraderonline.com/browse ... bilt//2007
Some are a lot though (mainly the "modded" ones): http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/fors ... mdlgrp=379

I need to send the seller a question though, as he or she doesnt state if it is in transformable condition, and if it comes with a working allspark and matrix of leadership.
Man...i would so love to take a bog standard truck like that and customize it into Prime! It wouldnt be too hard to do either.

Gave you fair warning. For the money they're asking they could have made it exact. I mean yeah for the casual movie viewer this looks like the one from the movie. But bein a sonuva trucker and HUGE Prime fan (thanks to my dad) I can tell you it's not right. Just quick: stacks, sleeper, steps, windshield, back rack, paint job. I DO want to know where the heck he got that emblem for the grill. THAT kicks ass! He should just sell those on eBay, would make a mint. To me it looks like they took the Voyager Prime as the model. I just hope who ever buys this doesn't drive on the highway with the lights on, blue will give you a big ticket. Ok, thats all i have to say for now.

thanks for pointing that stuff out. cause if you didn't, i would've. there 1st thing that i noticed that was wrong, was the sleeper compartment is taller than the roof of the cab. the real Prime truck's roof line was even from back to front.

Not forgetting the paint job. At the front where the flames start it is supposed to start yellow and fade into red.

Trust me, it took ALOT of work. I know from experiance being a car customizer myself. Working on cars is hard, working on something this big is unimaginable!
You should have more respect. Working on cars and trucks and re-painting them isnt by no means easy.

QFT.
Sure, changing oil, air filters, changing a tire - these are all pretty easy. But to actually work on a vehicle is lots of work - especially good paint.

The ENTIRE paint job is incorrect. He's supposed to be a darker metallic blue. And the red is also supposed to be metallic, fading yellow to red as you said.
