Thanks to eBay seller lena81822 we have some in-hand images of Hasbro's upcoming Transformers Generations Deluxe Rattrap. Rattrap, along with Crosscut and Tankor, were originally planned to make up Generation Deluxe Wave 3, however that wave has been cancelled. Luckily all three are still going to be released in future waves. Rattrap and Tankor will be included in an upcoming Generations Wave 2 revision. Check out the images mirrored below:

Major fail.
But the figure itself is still a must have.

Nothing new. lena is infamous for mistransforming. I'm surprised they even got Tankor right. >:oP

Ironic, since none of the official photographers could even do that.Mindmaster wrote:Sabrblade wrote:That is NOT how you transform the thing, lena!

1) What?
2) I wasn't complaining. I was pointing out that they somehow knew how to transform Tankor correctly as opposed to Hasbro's official photographers.

He has bombs too.OptimalOptimus2 wrote:Rattrap only has a gun? He should use his tail as a whip...scourging Decepticons' faces.
And his gun splits into two separate guns.
But, no, his tail should not turn into a whip. He never had one in that body.

maybe they couldnt afford the apps. or those clear parts are part of the cast that had to be clear. *shrug* maybe takara will paint theirs.Nemesis Maximo wrote:I still don't get what's up with the clear plastic gun.

Oftentimes, clear plastic is a sign of such cases as "Because we think it looks cool!" This could be another one of those cases.shajaki wrote:maybe they couldnt afford the apps. or those clear parts are part of the cast that had to be clear. *shrug* maybe takara will paint theirs.Nemesis Maximo wrote:I still don't get what's up with the clear plastic gun.

Well I'm just being creative. Got to think outside the box every once in a while.

lol so what? whats the big deal? Like putting people down? we know what Lena is about early releases (stolen maybe?? lol whatsup with this?) just means that official release is soonish right? hehe very happy to get any more pictures
EDIT:
if anyone wants this early. don't buy it now. wait like a week and the bids wont go as high. esp when it's front page people will go crazy with bids. i think Generations Rhinox went for over $100 crazy.

In your comparisons, all I can pick out are the shoulders and the tail, which have both been left hanging down, and I don't see how that's such a big deal.
Of course, there's also the jazz hands, in which case it occurs to me that you might be joking.
Either way, I like this guy and I can't wait to find one.

Which is great, except I was planning to ship them along with other Generations figures that got delayed. So I now I have to choose between paying more than I wanted to for shipping, or leaving them in my POL for several weeks or months.

I'll ship in June when everything is suppose to come in. I mean waited this long.

I'm glad that chrome is coming back into vogue. Gotta love the shiny stuff. I rather like the Macross influences too, and I really like how damned unique he is. Slavish homages are all very well and good (We still have Classics Jetfire after all) but every so often it's nice to have something new. He's got a really dynamic look to him (dem proportions) and oh, that jet mode. I mean, I'd display that thing in jet mode if I was the displaying type. It's just so smooth and angular and...it's...PERFECT.
Literally my only gripe is the hollow things and upper arms. Still, I reckon you could probably fill them in with putty or cap them off with plasticard or something.
Jesus. I need this so bad.
Out of interest, is the Titanium 6" Jetfire any good? I do like the unique design a lot, but I don't know if he's actually a good toy or not...

Nope. The paint on the diecast parts chips easily, and the joints are really floppy.

Is that how they all are? I thought it might have been just mine. Too bad, I actually like how he looks. His jet mode is pretty solid, at least mine is.

Roadbuster has been desired since G1, especially a complete one due to some of his very small accessories being an absolute pain to keep or obtain, so this is big news for a lot of people. He's a nice G1 update figure that's been in high demand and now, our wait is just about over.
Sky-Byte is a fan favorite due to his characterization in 2001's Transformers Robots In Disguise television show, based off of Takara's Car Robots that had aired in 2000. Sky-Byte was originally a redeco of Transmetal 2 Cybershark, but this time he's getting his own brand new mold!
Gears is another fan favorite, but this time, this little guy is scaled to work with Titan Class Metroplex, and is a redeco of the previously released Swerve. (You can see the galleries of Metroplex and Swerve by clicking on their names.)
Acid Storm is a redeco of Starscream, based on a random background character used in one episode of the original Generation 1 TV show. (You can see the Starscream gallery here.)

I did not think of that one.
Yes that would be cool!
But, could it be done
In a feasible manner
With the robot mode?

If they wre gonna redeco him into Cybershark, it'd be a completely wasted opportunity not to make him into Transmetal 2 Cybershark.CycL3Bot-'[O.o]' wrote:With a different robot head sculpt and and making the shark body more organic than robotic. I can see Sky-bite being repainted as the original beast wars Cybershark (one of my favorite beast wars characters). And even if the shark head doesnt get remolded into that of hammerhead, I still would like it. Since one of my problems with the original BW Cybershark was that the shark mode look to bulky for a hammerhead, but for a Great White I think it will look really nice! I would totally be sold on that!!
