Junkion Blacksmith JB-07 G1 Devastator Upgrades?

Looks interesting, but seriously, why can no one seem to make his damn legs green like the cartoon?

If JB has the decency to release the ENTIRE upgrade as a set, or atleast multiple components, I will be all over this!

There are a few notable differences here between the CrazyDevy sets and these. These appear to have a built in elbow joint, where the CrazyDevy forearms rely on their connector points for movement. The hip section also has integrated waist armor. I'll be interested to see how these two sets compare. Maybe the reason there isn't a new head is because they are planning a Headmaster for him.

Devastator seem like quite the attention wh*re these days .

If this set is even close to the $20 - $30 range, you could pick up a loose G1 Devastator and the upgrade for less than the CrazyDevy stuff!

As for a Headmaster.... I hope not.

At first, I was read to blow this off. But if they find a way to sell this as a complete upgrade set and the fit/finish are good, I'll actually consider upgrading my G1 Devs. I just can get behind Crazy Devy with their high prices and piece-by-piece philosophy.

So yeah....How much is this crap going to cost?? I mean seriously.Does all this 3rd party stuff need to cost a arm and a leg? Its just retarded.

ive got some of the devastator figures lying around somewhere, maybe i can pick up the rest for cheap and upgrade them if this set isnt as rediculously expensive as CD's.

it would be cool to have the G1 set complete as i build TFC's Hercules next to it over the next year!

This is actually pretty clever marketing on their part. When the Encore Devy set comes out later this year it's going to put a lot more people in the G1 Devy upgrade market that weren't there before due to either not having a G1 Devy or not wanting to put the upgrades on their vintage set. Now those fans will have two options, and this one already looks to be superior set. Not to mention you don't have to buy the pieces individually. I wonder if CrazyDevy will release a boxset of all the upgrades to along with the Encore release?

They might, but the price tag will be higher than what Encore Devastator will be selling for.

If this is reasonably priced, I'd be interested for my upcoming Encore Dev. If it's similar to what Crazy Devy's runs, it's not really necessary with Hercules on the way.

I'm glad Junkion Blacksmith are making this set and I have my fingers crossed it's going to come out looking great. If it's priced similar to their weapons/predaking fist set i'm all over it.

I have never tried any of the Crazy Devy stuff as the prices were, in my opinion, overpriced.

I think the hands look very interesting - can't touch the fingers on my CD hands without having the fingers fall off.

Haaaaaaaaaaa, I get it! "Waist deep", because they both made Devastator pieces that improve his waist articulation.

I have just one more Crazy Devy piece to go, so this holds no interest for me ... but that doesn't mean it isn't a good idea. Sure Crazy Devy did it first , but the prices are insane. Unless this costs as much as a complete vintige Devestator, thi sis probably bettwe than the CD sets.

Why, oh why do the third parties seem to keep rehashing/ripping off each other's ideas? There are plenty of TF figures begging for an upgrade - why cover old ground?

I am with you.... except for this particular product. I really like the CrazyDevy upgrades, but the prices are, IMO, unjustifiable. This set has potential for collectors like myself, if it's cheap. Now everybody making a Seaspray seems a little unoriginal.

If it's for Micromaster Devastator and under $20, I'll consider it.

This is cool and all, but the ONLY thing I want is a remake of his back.
The dumptruck bucket is so low that its part of his waist and not his back.
Make a new mod for that and it'll be all good.

Prototype images of Junkion Blacksmith's upcoming JB-07 upgrade set for G1 Devastator have surfaced on ACToys.net. These upgrades are very similar to the ones already produced by CravyDevy, but it appears Junkion Blacksmith will be offering all their upgrade pieces in one set. Junkion Blacksmith has also posted an image of the set's package art on their weibo page. Take a look at the mirrored images below.

Like Iv'e already said, everybody and their brother's tak'n a swing at devastator... and it would do good to note that the green doesn't match the original toy, and the head lacks alot of color. I hope all this gets fixed....

Awesome...I still have my Devastator from back when it first was released (old school HYOOOOO!), so if this set is decently priced, I'll actually get it.

looks pretty cool. and its way cheaper than the hercules set. i like the hercules set but 600 altogether is just too much. on a side note, i really like the drawing of devastator. thats freakin awesome!!

I would like to know why everyone is infatuated with making Devastator stuff to death when there are a lot of cooler Merge groups to be updating and making new toys of. How about a massive generations Predaking? Or a Monstructor, Abominus. Hell a giant Defensor would be sic. Devs. is being done to death. Lets get some other merge groups done already. Everybody needs to stop buying all this Devastator crap already. Let these 3rd parties know you want other merge groups.

imho the only thing that looks good about this set is the waist piece.
i still don't get it why the 3rd party companies leave devy's head all the way back instead of moving it to the center of his shoulders... sorry for the rant, but it bugs me.

this doesn't appeal to me at all. not a fan of the head, the rest of it looks well clunky, just not feeling it, or the need for every 3rd party company making their own version of Devy.

I think Devvy gets the upgrade kits because compared to the other G1 combiners, there is stuff to upgrade. You can swap out the old waist bit and give him hips and knees, elbow joints too. Most of the rest can't get those.

I can understand why people get these sets, but i don't like it.

The whole charm of the G1 line is gone when you alter the figures.

At a second glance, this set looks good. If they can get their plastic colors to match for the final version, I might be interested. I have the Crazy Devy kits already but these seem like really solid bits too. Might have to get myself a third Devastator now. Haha.

I think the CrazyDevy set looks better, but I fully support a company coming in and producing an adequate set for much less packaged altogether. If they price this around $35 they will sell a lot.

The crazy release schedule, and the stoopid high prices kept me away from the Crazy Devy offerings.

If this is around $35, I'd buy a set, and I'm not even displaying my G1 devy at the moment.

Unfortunately, This Won't Work For Me. I Only Have The Yellow G2 Version Of Devvy. But, I'll Keep An Eye Out For A Recolor.
