They are intended to be silly references to the figures they are mode to go with.

According to their post each figure will be just over two inches tall and fully articulated. Check out the cleverly named little figures in the images mirrored from their facebook page below.

Shot Piece HAS to be a reference to Dr Smoov's "The Rude Awakening of Optimus Prime"
oh God I have to watch that again

It looks like they will be fairly articulated, so I'm hopeful these will be good for our Classics (et al) collections. I'll hopefully order each of these figures.
and hopefully, nothing happens to Galvatron right up his keister.

This. In fact the two Megatron figures where about 35$+shipping, and they both looked raw and unfinished.
As I am living in Europe, I might go for the Shapeways route: the Drawn-steel hero designs look amazing. I'm a bit concerned about possible rub issues on the painted ball joints, though...

I bet Shot Piece is a reference to Shit Piece from that Return of Optimus Prime spoof by DrSmoov.

Actually, it looks like two different heads as well. One has eyes and sharper edges on the detailing while the other has a visor and more rounded detailing.
I'm holding Mega-Gun right now, as well as some parts I had printed on Shapeways. How can you compare the two and call MasterShooter's product raw and unfinished? It's smooth ABS plastic verses whatever that rough stuff Shapeways prints with. He is blocky, but then so was G1 Megatron in the cartoon. How is he "raw and unfinished"?cylor wrote:BeastProwl wrote:I want them, esp. since their C-Clip compatible, but I'm guessing Price and Quality and such will all keep me away...

Is that the Targetroid Megs your referring to or that other 3rd party and it looked like a small version of Megatron and was available in two different colors...I think. I didn't like the Targetroids but I've been wondering about the other 3rd party fig, I never saw the release.

Explaining the joke doesn't make it funny. Plus someone already said this in a not-so-obvious way earlier.

It would be the others you are thinking of, not the Targetroids. They were released, but you may have missed it due to them being exclusive to Captured Prey. The link is here: http://www.capturedprey.com/store/maste ... king_2pack

The robot modes look pretty good with the extra articulation, but the weapon modes are little too G1 accurate for my likings, i.e. fugly.

It's always that way. I bought the Shapeways guys who are pretty darn good, but you have to paint them. The Shapeways are way better detailed, but the molded color is really the best.

You are right, sorry, it was a poor choice of words. By the way I was referring to the design, not to the material. Sure Mega Gun - which I know just from Peaugh's review - is casted in high quality plastic, better than Shapeways' nylon - or whatever that stuff is. Yet the design and the paint aps don't really work for me, I find them too simplicistic.
So I'd rather print the Drawn-Steel-Hero's ones and paint them myself, but it's just my opinion of course.

I rather get another hexatron instead of a set of these 3rd party targetmasters. i'm more of a quality over quanity type TF fan.

Not to mention they are basically 2 designs swapped around. 2 upper torsos and 2 lower halves. Not even one product on the market and already "repaints".
