He's almost consistently shown to be around the same size of Megatron, Soundwave, Astrotrain, the Seekers etc. I can't recall a single time he was Jetfire or Magnus sized; it's not even like his original toy was particularly big.
Oh god...you really can't argue scale size when it comes to toys! coz it's all over the place & a logistical nightmare, going by your defenition....Fort Max & Metroplex toy would have to be human sized(a REAL human that is) in terms of scale! & the Unicron toy we got would have to be the size of a house or even bigger. nah! toy scale sizes are sods law pal
I mean, the way things are now is pretty close to correct. Ignoring vehicle mode scale because that will never be right, I'm just going by how the robot modes look in most fictional depictions. And in most fictional depictions; I'd say Voyager is pretty perfect for Blitzwing. Besides, we just got a near-perfect Leader Megatron, it's nice to get a good version of him in another size class.
Scale isn't as huge a problem as people always handwave it as. CHUG's had a pretty good run of accurate robot mode sizes outside of stuff like Leader Seekers which actually ended up making their own fun little scale with Leader Megatron and Leader Soundwave. In terms of robot modes, scale has rarely been an issue in CHUG so I'm not sure why you're just saying "nah we'll never have a correct scale so who cares".
And you still haven't said why you want Blitzwing and his Megatron pretool to be leader. You want them to cost more when they achieve everything they need to - very well, if I might add - at the Voyager price point and size?
No i never said that i WANTED a Leader Class, i stipulated that i dunno why THEY(meaning HASBRO) haven't made this a leader class? coz as you stated...we got a near perfect Leader Megs previously.
& speaking of things costing more...look at EmirateXaaron's post....he wants Broadside to be Titan Class! which would cost even more than a leader class figure

Krok looks incredible too in a different way. His colours just scream G1 to me, and I'm not just saying that because he is of course a G1 character and those are his colours; just... something about those exact shades and how they're applied really makes it feel like the late 80s toy that inspired him. In a good way.

I still think that base mode of Sky Shadow looks too much like a fan mode, although i do love his robot mode, the jet sitting atop the tank mode...meh...i'm not too interested in.

The base mode for Sky Shadow looks pretty nice actually the most convincing base mode among the leader figures so far it reminds me of a movie like Tron or something I can't remember.
Also it feels great to contribute to the news here gives me that warm "you did something good" feeling.

1) the leader seekers were a terrible idea. 3 leader repaints in a line that had tons of repaints. It was awful. Skywarp is still clogging the walmart shelves around here, hence why in the past 2 weeks are the first times I've seen wave 1 leaders from TR, and one of the walmarts don't even have TR leaders yet. Now, I like my Thundercracker, but it was still a bad idea.
2) Roadburn, Brawn, Krok, Perceptor, and Sky Shadow are amazing. Broadsides plane mode is still shite. Kup still looks weird.
3) checked my walmarts today. they are out of TR stuff and mostly out of RiD stuff. When asked, they won't be receiving anything TF related for at least 3 weeks due to backorder. So yeah, Transformers on backorder here till at least the end of February.

Pretty glad to see that actually since Perceptor actually used this mode in Last Stand of the Wreckers - an incarnation of the character that this toy seems to specifically be referencing with it's sculpting details and gun mold.

The official pictures for Perceptor already had this mode as well as robot and microscope mode so it's old news.

Just in the legs, but he's not a pretool of him. However, I do suspect Topspin was conceived only to provide another use for this guy:

- Generations: No, though he is a half-track.
- Classics: No, just a redeco of Cybertron Legends Red Alert. Still an army vehicle

I think Slugslinger is more likely for this mold, and Misfire with Triggerhappy.

I mean it's obvious that's what Hasbro has planned for them.
I think I remember seeing Misfire on the leaked rumor listings that have pretty much been 100% correct thus far.

Oh there's no doubt from anyone here that Misfire is coming, there's simply debate over whether he'll come from Triggerhappy or Topspin.

Given that I just read Last Stand (First IDW series I've read other than Dark Cybertron), Perceptor looks nice. Topspin looks good due to the fact that he needed an update, and for his potential use as Misfire or Twin Twist. However, if I get either, it'll just be because I have the originals.
I actually kind of Krok, especially in Croc mode, but I also have very little connection to the character (like I said, new to IDW), and I'm technically colorblind. I also might pick up Kup, Broadside, or Brawn simply because they appear to be pretty decent figures. Roadburn is a good sign for fans of throttlebots. Sky Shadow looks pretty nice, but probably not going to be worth Leader price.
So, there's my opinion.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:SillySpringer wrote:I think Slugslinger is more likely for this mold, and Misfire with Triggerhappy.

I am not 100% sure, but compare the two molds. Both have their similarities.
Topspin has the bulkier jet butt and two front cone pieces like Misfire, and Triggerhappy has a more similar transformation to the legs like Misfire. Plus, if you were to put tail wings on Topspin's alt mode, it would either be the pointing the wrong way in vehicle mode, OR wrong in robot mode, because the legs are upside down in alt mode for Topspin.
Who knows though? Maybe they'll use both and mix them? It seems almost just as likely now to get a new/mixed mold as a repaint with the success with TR.
Edit: It seems fairly likely to get a mixed mold for Misfire because of the pretty much predetermined need for a heavily modified body for SLugslinger, and we all know how much work they would need to put into him.

I'd call that off-the-wall bizarre speculation, but after Scourge and Highbrow... screw it, anything's possible. At this rate they'll find a way to retool TR Hot Rod into Masterpiece Astrotrain.

It's not as off-the-wall as you think. I am a type that likes to watch reviews multiple times and study the transformations, and I can tell you that for accuracy's sake, Triggerhappy would work much better for Misfire. It makes sense also since Triggerhappy's nosecone could be retooled very easily since it's just a piece sitting on the back, whereas Topspin's cockpit assembly is very subject to base engineering. So in my opinion, they'll probably either just use Triggerhappy for Misfire, or use Topspin's base and highly change the transformation for the legs.
Edit: I will give you one issue, and that is Triggerhappy's arms. While his legs transform exactly like Misfire's, and seem pretty obviously like a pretool-ish agenda, his arms are like neither Misfire's nor Slugslinger's in alt modes. Topspin's arms actually fold into the sides just like Misfire and Slugsslinger. That's why I am thinking mold-mixing might be something they do.
ANOTHER Edit: Now that I look at it, Misfire's arms just fold up under the wings. This makes Triggerhappy look like an even more likely retool into Misfire rather than Topspin and his integrating arm transformation a la Slugslinger.

Theres got to be a hidden second knee joint, or a waist swivel, or something.. Some...THING!!!

It's not just the back end - the wings are hilariously bad in their placement.
Still... this is the saving grace of a Triple Changer. If one mode's bad, it doesn't hurt the entire toy or transformation when two of them are still absolutely gorgeous. Far as I'm concerned, this dude turns into a ship and doesn't have a jet mode.

It... seems to be? The price isn't that unreasonably low, especially considering that it's being sold more-or-less 'loose' (regardless whether it's actually 'used' or not), and I can't see any differences from the official Hasbro. (Additionally, the description shows no signs of misleading information, the product itself is rated well - admittedly out of two ratings - and the seller seems to be pretty trustworthy if I'm reading the confusing eBay information correctly.) Of course, I'm nowhere close to a be-all end-all source of knowledge and advice, but to my untrained self it seems like it probably is in fact legit.

What raises my red flag is that it is from China because a lot of bootlegs come out of China for lower cost. Also I do remember that a while back some stolen WWE figures were sold out of China at a super low cost too.

Hmm, still hard to tell. To play devil's advocate here, that's only a single negative review out of 319 Gnaw purchases (and also compared to at least 6 positive reviews, probably more I didn't look too far). A couple of the other negative feedbacks on other products raised a few flags for me too, what with claiming they were "not real Transformers" and "yard-sale quality" - but as it turns out, those other items were in fact various (declared...ish? Not labelled explicitly but not trying to masquerade as official product either) KO's and 3P toys.
So I still don't really know if we can draw a conclusion from what we have, but I definitely wouldn't recommend going for this one. I imagine Gnaw will be showing up fairly widespread pretty soon, so no need to take a gamble just on the off chance of saving some time and a few bucks. (One thing I can say for certain from their feedback page though, is that they are short-tempered and rather prone to childishness. Not the most pleasant quality you'd look for in a salesman )

For instance, here is a whole set of the deluxe class including Perceptor, Krok, Quake, Topspin and Kup for US $129.99 / £104, from the animetropolis store.
There is also Roadburn for US $11.90 from from the Element+JoeyYamamoto.
The premium differs from store to store, as does the shipping. But for anyone wanting them now or worried of not getting them later, these are viable options.

Why wouldnt it be legit? These are new toys, there hasnt been a chance to KO them yet. So yes, this is the legit toy. However, due to it not having a box, it is probably a factory reject. The person probably made a deal with the factory to get their rejects, they might be stolen, who knows.
Back when toys were made in China, there was a lot more stuff like this, and we were able to get crazy deals on toys which didnt have packaging. Like Exclusive Cloud figures for $20 and Calvin Johnson Megatron toys for $10-$15.
But unless you live in a place that does not stock Transformer toys (like many parts of Vietnam, ironically), I would wait for you to buy this in stores or online from a standard retailer. It could even be cheaper and it would come new in its box.

Plus, $0.49 shipping from a seller in China? That is probably going to be a fairly long wait just to see if the quality is there for essentially the same price if you are in the US. Heck, you may even find them locally while you are waiting for this one to arrive.
